Limericks

Dear Friends,

There once was a bureaucracy of tin,
Self destructive and toxic as sin,
Philosopher kings,
Who know many things,
But don’t realize they are the enemy within.

Paying off debt is like climbing a steeple,
Often resulting in bad trouble legal,
As Confucius said,
We follow were led,
So a profligate government creates profligate people.

Universities had it cushy and nice,
Took advantage and didn’t think twice,
So colleges are dust,
They squandered our trust,
And soon they will pay a terrible price.

There once was a nation made of a wood burl,
It was strong and stout but with plenty of curl,
Insanity won the day,
Termites got their way,
Now wrongspeak is worse than bothering a little girl.

The strongest things may have an internal ____,
Magnified by people with sin’s magnetic ____,
Inculcated by institutions,
Forced on us by ___________,
And rends even the strongest with tooth and claw.

Sincerely,
John Pepin
