Dear Friends,
A jury trial was a human right my dears,
Jury nullification a box for despotic ears,
The right is perverted,
In fact it’s inverted,
When it’s really not a jury of one’s peers.
Many seem great outside the tower,
The mask smiles but the inside is dour,
How to see,
Could it be,
You never know until they get power.
Argentina showed progressives the way,
Canada stood in astonishment and dismay,
Print and spend,
Rip and rend,
Now Canada too is a hammer made of clay.
There once was a faction violent and mad,
Destroying the best things that they had,
Too stupid to mop,
Too violent to stop,
And work diligently to make Satan glad.
Our Rights are taken one by one,
By people so dark it would ____,
Hollowing a nation ___,
Weakening the once stout,
Serving the darkness while on the ___.
Sincerely,
John Pepin
