The Persistence of Failure.

It seems to me, the best test of a national executive is, how has the nation done under his or her leadership? That is the test a self interested People would use. Propaganda can move the needle some, in a relatively liberal country, and much more in a closed society, but the People themselves, we judge our representatives by how our own lives are going. Of course many are ideological, they wouldn’t change affiliations no matter how solidly their faction’s philosophy is proven wrong, but there is a large majority of people who care nothing for party… only in results. Which is why I am so surprised many world leaders are still in power, when their rule has demonstrably lowered, not only the economic well being of their citizens, but their personal safety as well?

Fortunately for politicians, people’s memories are short, we forget how things were even a decade ago, and so can be manipulated by propaganda. Goebbels said. tell a lie often enough and people will consider it the truth. That is the way much of the erosion of the economic standard of living has been hidden from the public. Why is it that so many youths have to live at home? Perhaps some are lazy, but certainly not all, the reason is economic. The wage earner has seen a steady erosion in her real wages after inflation for decades. In the 1980s, someone making ten bucks an hour could support a family, where today ten bucks isn’t enough to support oneself. People forget how it was, or deny it, and others were not involved in the marketplace then. Our short memories make us easy to manipulate.

It is easier to take the word of a known liar who swears he is telling the truth than to look it up. Take the example of Europe, the collapse of the standard of living in every measurable way in Europe turns that truth, the People judge their leaders by their own lives, on it’s head. It is like Nietzsche’s slave mindset is the norm in Europe. In Sweden, the People are cowed by the power of shame and societal intimidation, into staying quiescent to the rapes. In Germany, Christian native Germans are sending their little girls to school in Hajabs, and told to stay quiet about their being Germanic. In much of Europe today there are no go zones, where the police just don’t go… unless someone with a great deal of political favor needs rescuing. All based on people believing lies and telling themselves lies.

A decade ago, Paris, London, Stockholm, etc… were safe cities. Today… not so much. That is a demonstrable diminishment in the standard of living of the people in those cities and their nations. That was a decade ago, and the same basic leadership is in power. Oh, a few seats have changed, but the hegemonic power structure is firmly in place. Merkel has ushered in the destruction of Germany itself, openly and for all to see, yet she remains in power. In Japan the two parties firmly believe in the same policies, polices that took Japan from the second largest economy in the world, to a stagnant one mired in government debt. The People of Eastern Europe are pushing back, against EU idiotic globalist policies, even as the People of Britain voted to exit the EU, and their rulers refuse.

Judging by the standard of living, the leaders, not only of the EU but much of the world, are not doing their jobs. In a few places, where the leadership has embraced free markets, despite huge handicaps their economies are flourishing, their people are more safe every day, and therefore the standard of living is incontrovertibly improved. The places where the leaders are failing, and failing miserably, Europe, much of South America and Australia, are also taking the path to socialism via the welfare state, and the destruction of the nation state by mass immigration. Let’s see how Brazil does with it’s new “free enterprise” leader, if he survives long enough. Maybe that is why the globalists seek the elimination of the nation state, so people will have no other outcome… to judge theirs by?

Racism and It’s Opposite

It seems to me, what makes a person a racist, is how they categorize other people, ie. race being a primary factor in how they categorize a person, but if race is considered a tertiary attribute, then they are not. A primary characterization would be to believe that all people, of whatever race, have a distinct character. For example, all purple people are mean, all polka dotted people are racist, all striped people are stupid or all invisible people are mischievous. The race so characterized is irrelevant. Striped people have no more right to say all purple people are mean, than purple people have a right to say all striped people are stupid, both are racist statements. Yet today, we have a contingent that are openly racist while slandering anyone who disagrees as racist… this can only harm society.

The correct way to judge others is as individuals. We are all individuals and should be treated as such. It makes no difference if I am polka dotted or purple, I am an individual. Only I dwell in my head… as do you in yours. To treat people as if they are automatons based on a model number, denoted by race, is to deny others their very humanity. Of course there are purple people who are mean, and there are purple people who are agreeable, it would be impossible for it to be different. Every attribute given to Man falls on a bell curve. Therefore, we cannot sidestep the work of having to build a mental construct of who they are, as an individual person, not assign a prefab mental construct on them based on a tertiary attribute. We must judge others, as we would be judged… as individuals.

Sadly, it seems like many don’t understand that how you treat people says more about you, than what it does about them. If a purple person treated a polka dotted person extra nice, that would be as racist as treating her like she is automatically a racist, seemingly less destructive to social cohesion… or maybe more destructive, in a counter intuitive way. Because pandering to a person, rather than elevate them, lowers them. You pander to a child, not an adult. To treat an adult like a child is to disrespect them. Disrespect leads to anger, and anger leads to acting out… like children do. If we are treated as a child we act like children… to the world’s injury. Moreover, if we are treated as villains we soon take up the mantle of villain. Because we all act as we are expected to.

Government policies meant to counter racism, by their nature, are racist. Things set by society should be changed by society not forced on society by the elite. If there is such a societal shift, to elect people looking to impose counter racist legislation, there are sufficient people to change society from within. Far from eliminating racism, when government seeks to rectify racism, it must institutionalize and codify racism into the cannon of law. Moreover, people being self interested, when one group gets an institutionalized advantage over others, for whatever reason, people will seek to exploit it to their own advantage. Often countering the very reason it was set up in the first place. Some will even stoop to pretending they are a member of an effected race to gain advantage.

The single thing we can do as individuals to stop racism… is to embrace the philosophy of the Golden Rule. Lead by example, follow the golden rule in your own life, apply the Golden Rule to real world situations in conversation, and teach your children the Golden Rule. You cannot fight racism with racism, it can only be defeated by the compassion that comes of an individual, understanding we are all individuals. “Judge others by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin…” is based on the compassion that comes from embracing the golden rule. In a society where the Golden Rule was not only taught, but practiced, there would be no racism, the economy would flourish, children would grow up happy and well educated while people could live in harmony.

Are You a Socialist?

It seems to me, socialism is premised on the notion, that the State can order our lives better than we ourselves can. Which is then predicated on the idea that we are not competent to run our own lives without the State’s help. Therefore, anyone who takes this stance will have to admit, to be consistent, that they consider themselves to be incompetent to run their own lives, without the State’s beneficence. Because to judge another is to show arrogance, and hubris, while the only person we truly know is ourselves. Everyone else being a mental construct of who we think they are. So, those who actually believe he or she is unfit to run their own lives, such that they feel the need to submit to a greater authority, like the state, probably shouldn’t run the lives of everyone else.

Socialism is advertised as the means to end inequality of outcome. If there is a need to solve inequality of outcome, there must then be inequality of outcome, else why have a political and economic system dedicated to solving it? If there is inequality of outcome, it must be because some are less skilled at competing in the free market, meritocracy, than others. Then, to make outcomes equal, those with greater merit must be enslaved to benefit those that are unfit. Only that way can equality of outcome be achieved. Those that are capable would not seek their own enslavement, only those who would receive the beneficence of enslaving the fit, the unfit, would seek such a system. So only those who think themselves unfit would seek it.

You could say that people who seek socialism then are people who are unfit to compete in a meritocracy. To say that you yourself believe in socialism, is to admit that you consider yourself unfit to compete in a meritocracy, a free market. Those who believe in their hearts, they cannot compete in a free market, a meritocracy, without the help of a government benefactor, always believe themselves sufficient to run the lives of everyone else. Seems a strange dichotomy, to believe oneself unfit to run one’s own life, but fit to run the lives of everyone else. Yet that is the logic of socialism. Those who seek it must consider themselves, for whatever reason, consciously or unconsciously, unfit to compete in a meritocracy, so seek a system where merit is a yoke, not an advantage.

Some might use sophistry and argue they are fit yet also magnanimous. Yet even a cursory glance at their finances always show little or no charitable giving, while those who espouse meritocracy give much more of their income, so magnanimity cannot be a solution. Unless they believe they will be the political elite, that will take, by force, the fruits of the labor of some and hand out that largess of human kind to the poor… and sleep in beds, because after all, some animals are more equal than others. The only person I have ever seen take a lump and walked away… is someone who fiercely believes in the free market. When someone then claims they are socialists, out of fairness or magnanimity, they are lying to you and maybe themselves, because they don’t demonstrate magnanimity.

A society where those who are fit, are enslaved to those who are unfit, is one that is destined to poverty, famine and disintegration. For a short time it benefits those who are unfit and sometimes even the poor, but sooner or later, the enslaved must chafe at their bonds and slacken the pace. Some will even stop pulling altogether and hop in the cart. Heck, some will drag their feet, as a means of nihilistic revenge for having pulled it. As the pace slackens, and the number of people pulling drops, the cart will slow to a stop. Once it stops, it is stopped, and only if everyone jumps out and helps, will it begin moving again. That is why so few, actually no civilizations, that were once great have risen again. No one is willing to get out and push. So, it is better not to let those unfit yoke those who are fit, in the first place.

The Problem With Revolution

It seems to me, with all the talk about revolutions we hear of late, I thought I would weigh in on the subject. All revolutions are started and run by intellectuals while they are manned by peasants. Even the American Revolution followed this paradigm. All revolutions are started and run by unhappy intellectuals and the peasants become the soldiers. The peasantry make up the soldiers because workers are too busy working and the middle class is too busy turning out a living by their wits to participate. The industrialists, if there are any, almost always fall on the side of the dominant paradigm, and only recently the psudo industrialists (corporatists), have switched to the side of revolution. The problem with revolution then is, what philosophy are the revolutionaries going to implement?

From the Orange revolution in Ukraine, to the Yellow Vest revolution in Europe today, revolution is in the international news. Obviously not in the US main stream news, since reporting international news would be biased, just like following the Constitution is now unconstitutional. The latest is revolution in Venezuela. For some people it is of the utmost importance that the US get involved. Some, to “save the day,” while others want to have a scapegoat, to pin the blame on… to protect socialism. Either way the majority of the political elite are in favor of revolution, in Venezuela today at least. Sadly, none of them care what the people of Venezuela want, they project what they think the people of Venezuela want, on all sides. You see, revolution rarely ushers in a golden age… only another tyranny.

One of the primary factors, as to how a revolution will turn out, is the philosophy of the intellectuals that lead it. If their philosophy is Marxist, Progressive, socialist or national socialist, we know the resulting government will be autocratic, the economy poor and society rife with low level crime. The elite will live like kings of old however, making their disappointment at the poverty of the people, more bearable. The revolutionaries of the American revolution were enamored with Enlightenment Principles and so created a Constitution implementing those ideas. The French Revolution followed the socialist model and resulted in rivers of blood, a foretelling of the tsunami of blood that would result from the large scale embracing of Marxism and National Socialism, in the Twentieth Century.

It is hard to get a bunch of people together and foment violence to topple the status quo. It takes a special kind of person, they need to be smart, unfatiguable, charismatic, without a conscience and mostly… motivated. The strongest motivation is that of self interest, and so most revolutionaries, no matter the rhetoric they spout are really in it for themselves. Moreover, if you did a Venn diagram of the characteristics of a good revolutionary, they encompass those of a psychopath as well. The circle of psychopaths would fit neatly within that of the revolutionary intellectual. If we take a glance at past revolutionaries we see that most of them have indeed been psychopaths. Just as the leaders of cults are usually psychopaths. So the people toss off the yoke of a tyrant and get a psychopath instead.

Revolutions are messy things. Lots of innocent people die… and for what? So their surviving families can be oppressed by people with a different ideology, or worse, full blown psychopaths? The days of any revolutionary claiming the mantle of the Enlightenment are past. Today the choices are corporatist welfare state, or socialist absolutism, both globalist. Enlightenment’s limited government doesn’t even have a chair at the table. Take Venezuela, the world getting in there will only make the whole affair more messy, more people will die, already inhumane conditions will become worse and in the end… there will be another welfare state crypto Marxist globalist in power. Today, no revolution will grant the people the Right to life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness… The preconditions are not met for it.

Is Society Corrupt?

It seems to me… corruption begins at the top and works it’s way down. Therefore, you can tell how corrupt the entire organization of government is, by how much corruption there is at the lowest levels. Not only governmental corruption, social systemic corruption can also be measured by the level of corruption at the first level of government. This is important because, “a corrupt society can never be free…” as Machiavelli said. We, as a people, accept a certain level of corruption ourselves. From being happy we were let off a speeding ticket, getting an upper hand in court because we are lodge brothers with a judge, to turning a blind eye to the CIA smuggling cocaine into the US. Why do we, as a people, accept open boarders that lead to human trafficking? That we accept the corruption allows it to grow.

Government is always hierarchical. Which means there are various levels of government. The first level are the police, TSA, FBI agents, meat inspectors, the people who give driver license tests, etc… basically, civil servants. The second level are their managers, the third, are the second’s managers, and so on. The top is always the President, Congress and the Supreme Court, in a three branch structure. Coequal powers, supposedly with checks and balances. In the US, for example, a three branch structure, the Presidency is limited in time to eight years. This insures that even if a corrupt President is elected, his ability to harm is limited. The ability of corrupt officials then is increased as the lengths of their terms increase. Because, the longer they are in power, the deeper they can root their corruption.

Corruption must flow down, because it isn’t human nature to be influenced by one’s “inferiors,” but by one’s “superiors.” We don’t emulate our employees, but we do imitate those above us, that after all, is the path upward. Do as those who climb the ladder do, not as those who are stagnant do. Moreover, it is very difficult for a subordinate to chastise their manager for corruption, while it is the job of a manager to control for corruption. If a congress is corrupted, the people they oversee will always be instruments of that corruption. Because, that is the power members of congress wield, to corrupt. Then, those people must corrupt those below… to enable the corruption of those above. There is resistance of course. This slows but doesn’t stop the flow of corruption.

Corruption and tyranny are in most cases synonymous. Those engaged in corruption must use some form of threat to keep those around and below them silent. That threat can be tacit, or open, but it needs to be there. In the most basic definition, that in and of itself, is a form of oppression. Oppression then must follow the flow of corruption. Once the flow of corruption has reached the bottom, there must also be intimidation, from the top to the bottom. That leads to Bastiat’s The Law. Where law is used against the service of justice and put to the use of injustice. Like when the police seize cash from someone who is not charged with a crime, or when the CIA is importing cocaine, the law is used as a means of corruption… and with corruption comes intimidation and oppression.

Once corruption has reached the very bottom, the civil servants if you will, you know every level above is corrupt. What to do about it though? Since a corrupt government is held together by the strongest glue, the fear of exposure, it will not, and indeed cannot clean itself up. This is why there is revolution, and an even more corrupt government is ushered in, because the leaders of revolutions are almost always psychopaths, or, they eventually become sociopaths. That is the evolution of revolution. From corrupt to utterly corrupt. Vary rarely does a group of revolutionaries come together and form a government that doesn’t build the levers of corruption right into their “constitutions.” That is why it is so important not to tolerate any corruption in government in the first place.

The Propagandists

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the media that calls itself unbiased, has had a bad week. They reported that some kids from a Catholic school were mean to a native American, that story proved to be completely false, but has led to death threats against the teens. The unbiased media reported that Trump had ordered Cohen to lie before congress, a completely fake story, nevertheless the media that calls itself unbiased… breathlessly demanded impeachment. Before that, the media reported that an angelic little 7 year old black girl, was shot by a white skinned blue eyed racist, in a drive by shooting in Houston. That was fake as well, the shooter as it turns out, was a black guy with brown eyes. When peddling propaganda, it is best not to get caught… but the media that calls itself unbiased keeps getting caught.

The media that calls itself unbiased often fabricates “news” to smear constitutionalists, conservatives and libertarians, it is a matter of course for them. NBC with their exploding car, CBS with their bombshell three days before an election, and the spiking of the Wikipedia revelations, all dressed up as news. These stories however are truly evil in that they seek to create and channel violence. Stochastic terrorism if you will. In the case of the school kids, the media’s false narrative has resulted in death threats against children, threats against a school and their parents jobs being made vulnerable. Even as the real story about the racist group that was indeed chanting hate was ignored. In the case of the little angelic girl, the story was intended to create hostility between the races.

When passing off propaganda as news, one must maintain the appearance of legitimacy, else the propaganda will loose much of it’s effectiveness. That is why the media calls itself unbiased to hide their profound and pernicious bias. They seek to discredit any alternative news sources as fake, because those alternative news sources so often expose the fake news of the propagandists. They point to people telling the truth, as reason not to believe them, while at the same time claiming the fact they lie, proves they can be trusted. Lies are truth and truth is a lie. Newspeak if I have ever heard it. No one is unbiased, to claim to be, is a lie. The more someone lies to me, the less I trust them, and in the case of the media that calls itself unbiased, you can tell when they are lying, because their lips are moving.

The sad part is that children who did nothing wrong, but were used as pawns, are facing death threats, their parents careers are in jeopardy and their lives have been turned upside down. Imagine how empty a heart must be to target children for death threats? What lack of a moral compass would drive someone to direct violence at a school? What diabolical reason would someone have to lie about the color of the skin of an attacker? Only people lacking in a conscience could do such things, yet we are supposed to believe everything they say, without question? Only a fool of the highest order would listen to people who, by their own actions, have proven themselves to be sociopathic liars, intent on the destruction of Enlightenment and Christian values.

Yes, it has been a bad week for the propagandists, who call themselves the unbiased media. Lying is nothing new but getting caught is a real problem to them. The rise of information sources, that don’t lie about their political affiliations, has resulted in many lies being discovered. As more of their lies are exposed their standing must be diminished. Perhaps this is why they have become so unhinged of late. They see their ability to control our minds with propaganda, melting away, along with their credibility. That is enough to make any psychopath anxious. It is time to give the media that calls itself unbiased, a long hard look, and seeing they are the propaganda arm of the Globalist progressives, it is past time to laugh at everything they say… Because that is all their reports are good for anymore.

Keeping Up Appearances

It seems to me, our entire society, government and culture has become a sham, where we don’t have justice, only the appearance of justice, we don’t have democracy, only the appearance of democracy, we don’t have a two party system, only the appearance of a two party system, we don’t have freedom, only the appearance of freedom, we don’t have access to real information, only the appearance of information, and we don’t have representation in government, only the appearance of representation. We all know this in our hearts but we lie to ourselves… that we still live in a Constitutional Republic, even though the Constitution is no longer followed, it has evolved, and we are too afraid to face the fact our legal system has become arbitrary, so we stay in the lie, to keep us comfortable about the sham.

Evil must appear good, else evil will be recognized, and rejected. Never has evil openly and boldly draped itself in it’s own hideous cape. It has always and everywhere sought the appearance of good, so by machinations, it could materialize evil in the world. When the Aztecs cut the hearts out of thousands of screaming victims, they didn’t think they were doing evil, they thought they were saving the world. Yet, as we see, they were both lied to and lied to themselves. The slaughter stopped but the world didn’t. So all the evil they did in the name of good, was only indeed evil. When the Carthaginians burned thousands of their own babies alive, to satisfy Moloch, no good came of it, it was simply evil. Yet they thought it was good. Evil always seeks to appear good, else it will be recognized.

The greatest evils have been done by people who convinced themselves, that only by doing great evil, can good come about. Moreover, appearances allow psychopaths and sociopaths to rule the world through manipulation, fraud and trickery. People without a conscience need to manipulate those who seek good, into doing evil, and the means is always the same, convince them that by doing evil they are in fact doing good. That is how the Nazis convinced people to slaughter the mentally retarded and psychotic. Goebbels would produce propaganda films, (like was made legal in the US a few years ago), that would show profoundly retarded and handicapped people and ask the question, “Would you want to be forced to live like this?” The answer was always a resounding, NO!

It is appearances that allows evil to manipulate normal people into doing evil, and appearances create a sham, a fraud, a fiction if you will. The fiction that one lives under one kind of society when in fact they live under a completely different one. The ancient Romans were such people. After Octavius pronounced himself Caesar, Rome was no longer a Republic, but a dictatorship, that called itself a Republic. It wasn’t really a republic, it only sought to appear as a republic. The leaders lied to the people and the people lied to themselves. Everyone was happy as the culture, economy, vassal states and even the idea of what it was to be Roman, was eviscerated. When one lies to oneself and believes they live in a Market system, when they don’t, they become complicit in both the lie… and the results.

If you take a hard look at the news you can only conclude our government doesn’t follow our Constitution, it only seeks to appear to, else how can the term, “Shall not be infringed…” be so difficult to understand? How can freedom of religion turn into freedom from religion? I am not sure how they pried the right to slaughter millions of babies into the Constitution, but they did… all showing we don’t have Constitutional rule, only the appearance of Constitutional rule. So where do appearances lead? As I have hinted at throughout this article, they lead to the worse possible outcomes. By accepting the lie we abet the crime. You know in your heart our representatives, the media and our education system, are only means of maintaining the sham, keeping up appearances. We must stop accepting the lie.

What do our legislators serve?

It seems to me, the open bigotry against Christians and Christianity, would never have been tolerated even a few decades ago. It goes to show how effective the progressive monopoly on public education has been. One of the primary goals of the progressive movement, since the beginning, is to move society to become atheist and abandon Christianity. The fact that notable politicians can openly denigrate Christians and Christianity without repercussions, while at the same time show deference to Satanism, shows that at least some faction of our representatives serve Lucifer rather than us, or God. If that were the case, one might argue, then there would be evidence like… pedophilia at the highest levels of power, legislators would be above the law, there would be a push for perpetual war, and once eradicated diseases would be making a comeback in the civilized Western nations.

John Dewey introduced the notion into the education system, that the role of schools was not to educate children to read, write, philosophy, know history and why they matter. His idea was that schools should inculcate certain “democratic principles.” In other words, indoctrinating students rather than educating them. He has been called the founder of progressive education. Today the modern public school system is totally captured by progressive ideas that derive from post modernist thought. Which, if you think of it, fits perfectly well with the notion of progressive education indoctrination. Since post modernists don’t accept empirical reality as true, they see objective reality as a tool of the patriarchal hegemony and that Math, science, history and reality itself, needs to be rejected to smash that evil artifice.

So, our schools are turning out good little atheists, thoroughly inculcated in post modernist thought, dressed up as logical. Only exposure to reality can snap them back to reality, but fortunately for the progressive movement, they have been infantized. They need not encounter reality until they are in their thirties or better. Even when they are out on their own they act the opposite of what they demand of others. Hypocrisy is necessary when one’s stated philosophy is a contradiction to reality itself. We see progressives making the most absurd arguments, like… people don’t have the right to defend themselves in their own home from home invaders, a wall doesn’t work, all cultures are equal, more government is better, and the role of education is to radicalize not educate.

With a large percentage of the population indoctrinated by the public school system, to be progressive zealots, it is no wonder our culture is collapsing around us. Politicians who are progressives, like Cuomo, can offend Christians and Christian values all day long. Members of the Senate can lambaste a court justice because he or she is a Christian, and the democrat party can boo God himself three times at their national convention… without political consequence. The same faction that forces Christians to pay for sacrilegious “art,” like Piss Christ, make sure there is a steep price to pay if a Christian speaks of Christian values in the public square. Look at how they tried to destroy Hobby Lobby and Chik Fillett. Anti Christians have been allowed to pollute the minds of our children.

That is the only way such absurdities like abortion is tolerated. The only other place in human history where children were slaughtered, and in horrible ways, was in Moloch worship. Before the Roman attack on Carthage, the Carthaginians sacrificed ten thousand babies to Moloch… and they won. Of course ten thousand babies, horribly slaughtered is nothing to progressives, who see nothing wrong with dismembering sixty million. It is almost like they are modern Moloch worshipers? If that were the case, things like the Panama Papers and Wikileaks, would expose things like pedophilia, legislators above the law, people turning up dead under mysterious circumstances and our schools would be convincing children to change their sex, before they are old enough to decide to smoke a cigarette. Thank goodness none of that is happening!!!!

New European Enlightenment Party

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the Europeans need a new political movement, one that embraces Enlightenment principles, and eschews modernist and post modernist philosophies altogether. What are “Enlightenment” principles you ask? The Enlightenment was a paradigm shift in human thinking. It ushered in the scientific age, Adam Smith’s economics, the idea that the individual is sovereign not the group or king, the concept of discourse as the means to solve disputes rather than appeal to authority or violence, Cartesian Skepticism was also raised to a principle. Modern values are a reversal of Enlightenment principles as is post modernist philosophy. They promote, the group as sovereign, appeal to authority, discourse is replaced with the violence of the “just,” and skepticism is not politically correct.

How then does a faction come together that espouses Enlightenment principles? That is difficult, because Enlightenment principles do not empower politicians, they disempower them. As such, finding people who are sufficiently motivated to take on such a task, is herculean. Politics is hand made for psychopaths, psychopaths seek personal power above all else, and will strive indefatigably to get it. That is what anyone must face, who seeks to replace the socialist welfare state economic model, with one of free enterprise, individual equality, freedom of speech, the state embracing natural rights and open government. What such a faction needs, is to emulate the Newt Gingrich model, creating a simple statement, that everyone can understand, and lays out what the faction seeks if elected.

To that end, here is one I have come up with:

Statement of principles of the International Capitalist Party:

We believe in natural rights, that the power of the State should be the minimum possible, and in the absolute sovereignty of the individual. We believe in the nation state model, and will serve the native population, deporting individual aliens who seek to replace national cultures or the peace.

Therefore; We will strive to reduce the role, scope and power of government in every way, replacing public goods done by government with private sector when applicable, and eliminated altogether when not. Along with reducing government in all it’s capacities, the elimination of income taxes, and every other form of tax possible, will be another top priority. This will go hand in hand with eliminating budget deficits and making government borrowing unconstitutional. Entrenched power being a perpetual threat to liberty, means Term limits is a cornerstone of our ethos, and we will enact them at the earliest possible time, as well as enacting legislation making every action of government transparent.

Such a simple statement of principles would go a long way to gathering like minded people. There are many people in Europe, I am sure, who don’t want to riot in the streets, going down either the international socialist, or the national socialist path. Both are, and must, become totalitarian. Many believe in the free market, individualism and the nation state. The problem is, those in Europe with such views are marginalized by both the fascists and the Marxists. Because both seek to empower psychopaths to rule, both draw from the same ultra violent segment of society, people who want to make a difference, and don’t mind breaking a few heads doing it… and so generate zealotry in their adherents. Which makes them appear more popular than they really are.

Perhaps Europe is a lost cause, or perhaps not. Only time will tell. I pray a faction rises, like the International Capitalist Party or one with similar principles, and changes the trajectory of Europe. For all of our sake.

Ignoring that which is right in front of us.

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, our ability to deny that which is right in front of us, is astounding. We all do it to some extent. Me no less than you, I have, and am probably doing it right now. Yet realizing we are probably ignoring something important is the first step to doing something about that important thing. We do this in our personal lives, social lives, our careers and in our role helping govern our cities, states and nations. Denying that which is right in front of us is an all too human trait. That is why the people of Pompeii were smothered in a pyroclastic flow, the reason Rome fell, the sufficient cause of the genocide of the Tutsi’s, etc… Recognizing that which we ignore and doing something about it is always the best path to survival. Ignoring the important, on the other hand, is always a sub optimal plan.

Perhaps it is our fear that makes us willfully blind. Fear is a powerful motivator. We fear the unknown, the known, the painful, the comfortable, attachment and loneliness… our fears outnumber our numbering system. They are uncountable. There is no fear that is as pernicious as fear we don’t identify. It lingers in our backbrain pestering us and giving us ulcers, heart disease and high blood pressure. That fear that we ignore must do this, because whatever we are willfully ignoring is right in front of us, we know it is there, not identifying it therefore engenders an unidentified fear in us. One thing that makes fear a terrible motivator is that it’s usual use is to justify a lie. If we cling to an idea based on fear then we are letting our animal brain override the rational part of our brain.

Maybe we cannot let go of a comfortable lie for an uncomfortable truth? If the comfortable lie is of no consequence and it imparts some measure of good, a useful myth so to speak, it can be a good thing. When we hold to a comfortable lie, that has real world consequences on the other hand, we do ourselves a great disservice. Many people refuse to really mature and become adults because of the comfort of childhood. If their parents abet them, there is no need to grow up, they can remain children until their parents pass. Then they are tossed into a world they are ill equipped to meet. This is because they ignored that which is right in front of them, to remain comfortable. Ignoring the uncomfortable to stay comfortable has consequences.

The trivial is safe while the important is scary. How did the Cowboys do in the big game? The last big game of course. In an interstellar war, would the Klingons beat the Romulans? Which is closer to extinction, the alpine meadow vole or the turpentine musk cricket? We can fight over these irrelevant things all day long. They provide us with diversion. Diverting our attention from the important to the trivial. How could you possibly think there are over two hundred 1889 gold Ptuites still in circulation? Do you think that rap singer Jam Throat has a better voice than Black Eye too? The inconsequential can be argued over all day, and we need never face that which we fear, or heaven forbid, we become uncomfortable.

No matter why, when we ignore the obvious and dwell on the trivial, ignoring the important has real world consequences. The longer we put them off, the worse they tend to become, the worse they become… the harder it is to face them. The consequences for the people of Pompeii were existential, yet the very real danger was right in front of them. I am sure some took heed and escaped. We don’t know their names or much about them, because they went on to have children, grandchildren and live normal lives, as they told other Romans how they escaped Pompeii before it was smothered. Like laughing off the rumbling of Mount Vesuvius off in the distance, ignoring signs of disaster can lead to extremely bad consequences… Like in Germany in 1940, Russia in 1917 and Zimbabwe in 1998.
