Dear Friends,
It seems to me, every nation on Earth has the same problem, solvable with the same solution, but that solution is unthinkable to those in charge. They would rather ride a prize racehorse to death, than stop and let it rest… let alone brush it down. This is because someone else might hop on it and ride it. In China, the CCP is failing, because lacking an effective feedback mechanism a one party state must fail. Europe is failing, and badly. This is due to the unaccountable administrative state that runs it. The US is failing due to the profligacy of the government. The list goes on and on. Every nation on Earth is in debt. There are no creditor nations anymore. That’s because all the elite figured out the scam. Now every nation on the planet needs a complete washing top to bottom.
A dog that gets a bath every week or so usually smells very pleasant. On the other hand, a dog that never gets a bath eventually reeks so badly no one can get near it. The same can be said of people and governments. Unaccountable government is like a rabid dog that likes to roll in carrion. It’s too vicious to bathe so it goes unwashed until it dies of disease. Administrative government is like a dog that has always run off on its own. It never gets a bath because it’s always off on an adventure in regulation. A profligate government is like a dog that can’t stop eating. It’s a friendly dog that waddles the neighborhood begging food from all the neighbors. Soon enough, people throw it food to get rid of it and its odor. Our governments are like all those dogs… they stink.
People never smell their own homes. I used to install and repair phones, so I was in many homes in my day. Some reeked of cat urine. Others of garbage, and one house in a very expensive neighborhood had dog poop in every stage of decomposition on the kitchen floor. The turds went from glistening to white powder. He didn’t even notice it. The entrenched government is like his kitchen. The bureaucrats don’t notice the turds they step over every day. They’ve got used to the smell of corruption so they pay it no attention. Now, here’s the thing… it doesn’t take that long for a kitchen floor to get to that state, a few months to a year at most. Governments follow the same timeline, so we have regular elections, to clean out the waste. Bureaucracies don’t get that cleaning. They fester until they cause a disease…
Everyone likes to pick on the CCP and for good reason, but they are just an overt example of the systemic failures of our systems of governance. The hypocrisy of bureaucrats in the EU attacking Chinese Communist Party members or Russian oligarchs, is only rivaled by the American progressive Eugenicists who prosecuted Nazis for crimes against humanity. Indeed the EU would like to emulate the CCP as much as possible. Their administrative state is the envy of bureaucrats the world over. Without elections taking up their attention, CCP administrators get more time to tyrannize. Moreover, their spending is second to none. The elegant part of the CCP’s profligacy is that most of it is down book (on local government’s balance sheets) or off book. Plus the Renmimbi doesn’t free float.
Those in charge need to be washed out. They’re the turds on the floor. Some glisten with newness while others scatter as powder. No wonder our governments stink at everything. Example abound… The US has ruined the dollar’s reserve currency status by its profligate spending. Meanwhile, Europe is courting civil war and foreign war at the same time… doubling the stupidity. Even as China is pondering a war that will almost certainly result in economic destruction. Canada is in even worse shape. The faction that controls it has become white powder that’s blown into everyone’s food. The same solution applies to every government, clean up the bureaucracy. The problem is, we’ve got used to the smell and the turds have too much say whether they get cleaned up.
Sincerely,
John Pepin
