Limericks

Dear Friends,

There once was a compromised congress,
Sitting while the nation became a mess,
Supping on caviar,
Riding in a limo car,
And dancing to a tune in a red stained dress.

The central planners are much smarter than you,
Regulating our lives from a cubicle til we’re blue,
An arrogant crowd,
With voices loud,
And as Hayek said they really don’t have a clue.

There once was a world of only phantasm,
The ground beneath trembling in spasm,
What are we to think,
When it all does stink,
But mock them mercilessly with sarcasm.

Evil always hides behind a pretty mask,
Protecting it while it does its dark task,
Filled with vanity,
It hates humanity,
In the cold glow of suffering it does bask.

The self-blind are of a ____,
Stupid and so logic contort,
A laughing stock,
To ridicule and _____,
Exposing the jester in the _____.

Sincerely,
John Pepin
