Trump’s Space Force

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, Trump’s Space Force initiative has the potential to be genius, or the deep state could kill it. Opening space in such a way will have many effects, on our economy, our global situation, energy production, technology and humanity’s survival. Only Russia, China and the US will be in the space league, but very soon others will join, Japan probably, but not any EU nation or the EU as a whole. For the EU to compete would require a paradigm shift in their policies and governments. (Which may happen given recent election results). Even the scourge of drugs might be alleviated, by hope, hope for a brighter future such a program will breed in our youth. Those who seek the best for all of humanity will, or should support it, while those who seek one world government will despise it.

This space force initiative takes the focus off nuclear weapons, religious wars and simmering genocide and changes it to space. Like the cold war superseded local conflicts and national governments, a new space race will supersede other conflicts, short circuiting them. The “great powers” will turn from coveting cultivated land to uncultivated land. Much of the world’s violence is fueled by the attention it gets. Local violence wouldn’t get the eye balls it used to, nor the funding that attention pulls in, the world media would have a much bigger story to cover. Only those nations with a viable space program would have international standing. Military budgets therefore, would put less emphasis on build nuclear bombs and more on space ships… making us all safer.

Like the Moon shot before, such an initiative will give funding to basic science and technological advancement, and also like the Moon shot, will lead to economic opportunities and advancement of our standard of living. Of all the things government spends money on, only basic science and the space program have yielded tangible economic benefit, and therefore, were investments rather than squandering money. Basic science is crucial but expensive, and results in little immediate economic return, so companies will not do it in favor of more profitable enterprises, but the long term economic gain is incalculable. The integrated circuit chip is one advancement that we received largely from the Space program. Imagine how different our world would be today without them?

Fusion energy may be less than a decade away or it might be technologically unworkable, nevertheless, other perhaps more exotic means of generating energy will need to be devised. There is no air in space to burn fossil fuels, so that avenue is out, even on Mars. Solar or nuclear are the only alternatives today, but “necessity is the mother of invention,” so as the demand increases so too will the technology to meet that demand. Those technological advancements in producing energy will have direct applications here on Earth. While all my friends know, I am the antithesis of an environmentalist Marxist, such technologies will result in cleaner energy production here, making the planet cleaner as well. Moreover, cheaper, cleaner energy will further drive up the standard of living of the entire human race.

Given that the market system has the uncanny ability, not only to meet needs but to create new ones, is a strong indicator that these advancements will happen. There is however a powerful force that stands against such advancement. Globalists shudder at the thought of anyone getting off planet and out of their grip. They seek to make us ants, while a thriving space industry, growing in the loam of liassez faire will make us more individualistic. They control the media, academia, the bureaucracy, judiciary and congress as well as the entire structure of the EU. Peace, liberty and prosperity are diametrically opposed to their interests. Because war and want lead to autocracy, and it is world dictatorship they seek. So it may be genius or it may be for naught… depends if we, or the globalists win.

What is Wisdom?

It seems to me… wisdom is the effectiveness of our vastly simplified abstract mental constructs of the world around us. As we age we hone those mental constructs to be ever more effective at allowing us to efficiently navigate the world we find ourselves in. It is not possible to recognize, let alone understand, all the intricacies of the world, our mental facilities are just not up to the task. As a result we simplify the world around us so we can function in it. Which is why we make mental constructs of the world. We cannot roll every bit of information into our minds about a chair… let alone the complexity of a human being. Wisdom then, is the functionality of the mental constructs we create to make sense of an overly complex world, and allows us to operate in it.

A mental construct is a mental image we hold in our mind’s eye about everything that exists. When someone says “bulldozer,” we immediately create in our mind’s eye an image of a bulldozer. Perhaps a Caterpillar D9. We picture a machine with tracks and a blade that pushes dirt. To us then, a D9 is the epitome of what a bulldozer is. But that is a simplified version of a bulldozer. A bulldozer has an engine that is different with every incarnation of a bulldozer, it may or may not have tracks since some have steel tires, it could have a blade but some have buckets, it could run on diesel but some run on gasoline or it may or may not be covered in a canopy. The point is, we create a mental construct of every noun, verb, adjective or adverb we know. The accuracy of the image is less important than the utility of it.

Think about all the information that is your dog. We all think we know that furred little rascally angel laying on the floor sleeping it’s life away. How complex is a dog anyway? Very. A dog is the result of centuries of breeding, he or she has a unique personality, some have fur and others have hair, they could have fleas, intestinal parasites or dog flu. That dog on your floor that kisses your face in the morning is far more complex than your mental image of it suggests. Moreover, the utility of that mental image largely determines your interactions with it, for good or bad. If you believe your dog is friendly, but it is not and bites someone, that is a failure of your mental construct. If your mental construct of your own dog is lacking in some way, that mental image is not a help, but a detriment to your relationship with him or her.

If those constructs are effective, then we get along well in the world, and if they are not we flounder. When our mental constructs are effective, they help us navigate the world with little difficulty, but when they are lacking in some important way, they become a hindrance. We spend our lives honing our mental constructs to be ever more effective and accurate. That is why an older person usually has more wisdom than a younger person… they have had more time to sharpen their mental constructs. We can therefore say, wisdom is the effectiveness and accuracy of one’s mental images of the world around him or her. Intelligence then is clearly different from wisdom, in that intellect is the ability to manipulate objects and ideas in our mind, while wisdom is the accuracy of our idea of the world.

While intelligence is a good predictor of who will gain in wisdom as they age, it is not the primary one. Openness to ideas, control of one’s ego, situational awareness, etc… are more important when it comes to honing one’s wisdom. This is highlighted by the fact that many people with advanced PHD’s cannot hold down a job and flounder in real life. They may be the smartest person in the room but their mental constructs of the world are deficient. The difference is in the effectiveness of the mental constructs they create. So take a long hard look at your mental constructs of the world. Are they helping you get ahead, making your relationships better, do they keep you happy or make you depressed? If so, change or hold onto them, as their effectiveness dictates.

The Debt Trap

It seems to me, we all know the end result of monetizing debt, run away inflation, we all know why debt is monetized, to finance wars and welfare, and we all know the pain it eventually causes… but yet we race down the path to full debt monetization anyway? History is unambiguous on this fact being rife with horrible examples. Not only of economic tribulations but of cultural implosion and even outright chaos. From Wiemar Germany to modern day Argentina and Venezuela, the end, path and beginning is the same. Our economics courses teach it, our history books report it and our intellectuals ignore it, teaching that it could work… this time. The only conclusion a reasoning person can come up with, is that a large portion of our society and especially government, are clinically insane.

It always starts with the noble idea to provide for the poor. Some people who claim to be more enlightened, caring and well, gosh darn it, they are just better than average, stand up for the downtrodden. Inevitably it is not the plight of the poor that motivate them but vengeance on the rich. Fist held high to proclaim their willingness to use violence to meet their aims, they demand access to money other people have worked for, to give away. Of course it is the politician who gives away other people’s money that gets the credit. This scheme however, used by Caesar himself, (except Caesar used his own money), always draws the poor to your cause… today. Who cares about tomorrow when you have won the day, tomorrow can be repaired, as long as one has the power to do it.

The debt slide accelerates as more people become poor and drop onto the safety net. More and more people realize they are working for nothing… when others live the same or better standard of living, who do not have to get up at a certain time, punch a clock, knuckle under to a boss, listen to boring classes on how to safely lift, or even leave their house, and who can blame them? It is only a self interested thing to do, in the immediate sense, which is what many people do. More and more people ride the cart, as fewer and fewer pull, until the cart gets mired and cannot be pulled by the remaining workers. When that happens, the government fills the gap with printed money. The longer the gap remains in need of filling, and the wider it gets, the faster the economy deteriorates.

Eventually the demand exceeds the nations ability to pay and that nation begins printing money to buy it’s own debt. That always spirals into run away inflation, or hyper inflation, and that inflationary rocket always explodes at apogee. There are only two options for debt for government elites, take the government into bankruptcy or inflate away the debt. Bankruptcy is an obvious tarnish to the reputations of the elite, but even though, the end result of inflation is far far worse, the reputation damage is much more spinnable. Inflation like we see today in Venezuela must happen to get rid of the unpayable debt. So, off to the printers every government with a welfare state economy must go, to inflate away the debt they created, to buy votes, to fuel their agenda.

Today the entire Western nations and our satellites are printing money to buy our own debt. Many eggheads believe that socialism, along with unlimited money printing can work in an industrialized country, and they argue debt is a good thing, like Krugman. Many of them are brilliant people, able to twist a Gordian knot of logic, to make poverty wealth, and slavery freedom, most not even admitting to themselves their own logical inconsistencies. I suppose you could say they are falling into the trap of cognitive dissonance. We know what they are doing, they know what they are doing, and we all know where it will end, yet we allow them to do it?!?!!? We don’t miss a sip of coffee, when we see the unfunded liabilities for the US are upwards of ten times our GDP, and growing, but shouldn’t we?

Government Secrecy and National Security

It seems to me, since the Russians, Chinese and every other nation apparently have complete knowledge of the US’ military plans, equipment and capabilities… the laws on national security are in truth only there to hide our government’s shenanigans from us, not foreign powers. Indeed most of the time when we are told this or that information cannot be divulged, because it would irreparably harm US national interests, upon it’s disclosure, we discover the only interests the information harmed was of corrupt politicians! The term National Security has become a closet where the corrupt elite hide their dirty laundry. In truth, a just society, culture and government, would have as a common convention, that every action of government is open for any individual to see, any time he or she wants.

With the latest revelation that China got away with Gigabytes of data on the US Navy, it’s newest weapons, tactics, schematics, etc… it is clear that other nations can get whatever information they want from our government. Espionage is a way of life for governments and has been since at least the time of Sun Tzu. Heck, it seems half of the movies made about WWII were about getting this or that microfilm back to England to help the war effort. Lets face facts, when a foreign government wants information on another, especially when they are “enemy” nations, they have ways of getting it. The elite know this, they are the ones using those means, on both foreign countries and their own people. So the argument that everything government does must by default be secret is absurd.

It has become a standing joke that government secrets are more to protect corrupt politicians’ interests than to protect national interests. Remember the recent Nunes Memo? The establishment went apoplectic over it’s release to the hoi polloi, claiming it would do irreparable damage to national security. The controversy went on for months until the memo was released in full. As it turned out, the only methods it revealed were the shady actions of the FBI and DOJ, weaponizing the national security apparatus against a political foe. The democrats came out with a memo later that did expose means and methods, and was eventually rewritten so it too could be released. It largely corroborated the Nunes memo even while trying to discredit it. Government secrets only protect politicians corruption.

If we accept the Western foundational idea, that the legitimacy to rule comes from the people, and only the people, then Just governance requires open government. If we accept that those who occupy positions of power, presumably the ones who make decisions effecting the lives of every person under that political system, then isn’t it obvious they should be regarded as human beings and not saints or angels? Only a saint or angel could be trusted with such power, unchecked, and unobserved. Human beings will do almost anything when we know we are not being seen, and politicians are no exception. Therefore, it is clear that if we seek to stem politicians abusing their authority, their every action must be observed by the people. To do otherwise is a dereliction of duty to our foundational ethos.

We must ask ourselves, “Why do we have government?” Is it a means for a select few to become absolutely wealthy, have the power, (not the Right) to enslave us, and provide for their heirs as the aristocracy of old did? Or is it a way to harmonize the interactions of human beings to facilitate our productive enterprises? The first path, totalitarianism, the path that violates the foundational idea of Western political theory, requires governance in the dark. If we decide it’s a way to harmonize the interactions of human beings, and accept the Western foundational idea that authority only comes from the people, then government must be open, visible and nothing kept secret. Because, once you allow a human being a place to hide their corruption, they will exploit it to the detriment of everyone else.

The Fraud of Democracy

It seems to me, there are multiple ways for the elite to undermine real democratic input, and they use every one. You can’t say in truth there is democracy when any of these tactics is used to bring the democratic process to heel. Let me decide who can run and your vote becomes irrelevant, let me control the funding and your vote is a mere rubber stamp, or let me choose who can vote and again your input is only a ruse, to trick you into thinking you have a say, when in fact… you don’t. Moreover, why would the elite allow us unwashed masses to decide anything anyway? After all, they have the education, the breeding, the right political attitude and the lack of morality to make it all come together. What this boils down to is, the democratic element of our republic has become a sham.

Clearly, someone with no scruples would have no problem, morally, in undermining the election process, especially sociopaths. The reality of human affairs is that sociopaths and psychopaths are over represented in politics. That is just an unpleasant fact of life. People who are not sociopaths don’t have the drive to lord over others and so do not seek political office at nearly the rate. Plus, a sociopath has a clear advantage in any political contest, they are charismatic, have no shame, will do or say anything to get power, then do anything once they have that power. The political class has no scruples when it comes to undermining the electoral process, but at the same time, they seek the legitimacy that comes with election, even fraudulent election.

The primary process is rife with areas the elite can undermine the will of the people. When Ron Reagan was elected the elite went apoplectic over it. They took strong measures in both political parties to insure no one like him would ever get to run in the general election again. The democrats were the more successful of the two, with super delegates that actually elect the democrat, rather than the people. This was proven true when the people voted for Bernie, but the elite wanted Hillary, and so Hillary ran against the Republican nominee. The republicans didn’t have the nerve to so obviously undermine the will of the people… so they kept their shenanigans to a minimum, which was why Trump won the primary against the elite’s choice of another Bush.

It is not the people who vote that choose, but the people who count the votes. Yet that is only one way the elite can turn democracy into a mechanism of usurpation. Anyone threatening the elite’s hegemony, with the bad taste to win a primary, will get zero funding and be held to every dotted I of the law, while his or her opponent will get oodles of funding and a pass when it comes to mere law, like Al Gore’s, “no controlling legal authority.” Vote fraud is another way the elite use to create a sham of the election process. In places where there are large volumes of illegal aliens, there is a commensurate amount of vote fraud, which is why we have “sanctuary cities.” Rest assured, if illegal aliens voted for our Constitution, instead of against it, illegal immigrants would be executed at the boarder without mercy.

What we have now, is democracy that is not democracy, but a means for the elite to cover their usurpations with a veneer of legitimacy. When confronted with their extra constitutional actions, they always say, “The people elected me to do this.” Even though in reality, they were chosen by the elite… who loathe our Constitution, our nation, our freedoms and us. The election of Trump is a burr under the elite’s saddle. He wasn’t supposed to get elected, he was supposed to be a straw man, so Hillary could continue progressing the world away from limited government, free markets, freedom of speech and freedom of religion, to the Marxian utopia of world slavery they have been working for, for more than a century. Poor psychopathic elite… lost the election, and will burn in Hell anyway.

Our Society’s Root Problem

It seems to me, the root problem that plagues our society is cultural rot, it is manifested in school shootings, random crime, the rise in single mothers, more and more people who are unemployable, the dropping out of young men, rise in self destructive drug use, etc… and since we appear to be absolutely determined to continue down the path to a totally hedonistic, immoral, Godless, cold hearted and intolerant society, there are only two choices to confront the violence, one is to create an Orwellian government where everyone is monitored all the time and there is a phalanx of police ready to pounce at a moment’s notice, or everyone would be armed and proficient such that the advantage of violence would be countered by the disadvantage of the probability of life changing wounds.

The fault lays mostly with the people who decide what height skirts will be this year, the music that will be pushed on the radio, what movies will be made, provide the subliminal messaging in ads, what books will be written, who will be paid to create propaganda, what the critics call genius… and what they call drivel, either through a lack of self awareness that is monumental, or a villainy that is heinous, have steadily lowered the cultural class of the average person for decades, creating an ever more hedonistic, self indulgent, irreverent, irreligious, immoral culture without a whit of self awareness, and continue to lower the standard of conduct and thought that has led us to the point where school shootings are not at all rare and death by depression is common.

Unless the next generation become as the Victorian reaction to the Romantic Era, and our society continues to slide to the abyss that Sodom and Gomorrah went over, driven by people with who knows what true agenda, the random violence, despondency driven drug use, checking out of young men and the economic externalities that inevitably result, we as a society will have to take one of two paths, either weaponize and train everyone to combat the random violence, creating a marshal society, and history shows that marshal societies are never successfully invaded, or subjugated in any way, else we could choose the path of enslavement, and put cameras in every home, a tracker on every person, real time financial monitoring, and a standing army of police to back it all up.

If we choose to become slaves within a totalitarian government system, cogs in the machine if you will, the path is easy, just continue to sleep in that comfort queen quietly, minding the height of skirts while admiring those spandex clad buttocks, gleefully root for your team of choice, whether it be political, sport or brand, while our culture continues to accept ever lower standards of interaction, demands more tolerance for that lowering and at the same time exhibits ever greater intolerance of morality, limited government, entrepreneurship and individual rights, our children will live in a gilded cage of bread and circuses, where their thoughts and actions are strictly limited to the debauched, chained by perversion and dependent on the government for their daily sustenance.

The unthinkable option is to become a marshal society, unthinkable because a marshal society would quickly wrest freedom from the elite, which means the elite would lose their perks, the distinction between rich and poor would corrode, their privilege would diminish, their egos would have to endure a blow of epic magnitude and the elite would have to accept a much smaller role in the lives of their lessers, all these outcomes because a marshal people will not long tolerate usurpers, nor do they have to, the balance of power must shift from the elite, who control the government’s monopoly on violence, back to the people whom that violence is used on, returning society to limited government, laissez faire, self controlled individualists and economic prosperity… until the people are lulled to sleep again.

Oppressed or Oppressor?

It seems to me, no one should be above criticism, especially those who have chosen the spot light as a career. In whatever society, when it is illegal, overtly or subvertly, to criticize a certain person, faction or group, while that same criticism could legally be leveled against another, that society is unjust. Not simply unjust, as a backwards ignorant barbarian might be unjust, but unjust as a matter of law. In other words, the legal system is a tool of injustice. You see, law is not only a tool for good, but is often exploited by evil. In fact evil always becomes monopolistic when it wields the reigns of law. One sure way to measure then, if the law is being used as a means of oppression, is to examine if some cannot be criticized while we are encouraged to criticize others.

Criticism takes many forms, sometimes it is humorous, sharp, roundabout, tacit, witty, vitriolic and open. While some criticism should be off limits, ungentlemanly remarks for example. If a society allows them said of one group then all groups should also be subject to such banal witticisms. This provides an incentive to elevate the standard of discourse rather than lower it to mere gutter talk. To exploit the instinctual revulsion we all have when confronted by trash talk, yet demand to be above it, is not just to be hypocritical, it is to be oppressive as well. A human being, mature in development, or put another way, men grown, should be able to stand criticism, someone who cannot is certainly not mature enough to hold an office of public trust.

To argue that someone cannot be criticized, because they are a member of a “victim” group, is like saying, in a game of soccer, one person can choose play any position, at any time he or she wants, because they have no choice. You cannot both be oppressed and be above criticism. Unless the definition of oppressed has changed. If I can criticize you, but you cannot criticize me, I am oppressing you, and when I bring law into it, I am exploiting law to oppress you. I am using law to do evil, (oppression), and therefore establishing evil’s monopoly on law. To that end, those without scruples will joyfully claim the mantle of victim to further their oppression. It is a good trick though, for the oppressor to claim to be the oppressed, it will work for awhile with anyone, longer with fools.

Law does not distinguish between good and evil, law is… violence to impose order. When law is used to promote good, then law is useful, but when it promotes oppression, it is a tool of evil, and promotes a monopoly on evil. Law is like water… it can be clean or it can be dirty. The difference is distinct and yet the transition can be blurry. How much filth can we add to water before it is dirty? How much can law be bent to evil before it is tainted? If the ends are just, does that mean we can add as much foulness to water as we want, and once we get our way it will be clean again? Doesn’t that same apply to the law as well. Not just law but civility, social acceptability, cultural demands and group politics. The reason law is synonymous with order, and not good, is because law is a tool and good is a state of being.

Anytime you see a double standard, when some are above criticism by law and others are criticized below normal gentlemanly standards, you are witnessing law being exploited by evil to gain monopoly. History is rife with examples of what happens when evil gets a monopoly on law, millions die in famines, are swallowed up by gulags, families are shattered, ethnic cleansing, mass migration, eugenics and religion is diverted from God to the State. That double standard is not the benign thing those who are above criticism claim, it is a diabolical thing, that is always exploited to give a malevolent political faction the upper hand. You cannot logically have a faction that is above criticism, by law, while others are not, because by definition, those above criticism are exploiting law to oppress those who are not.

Act Now or Forever Hold Your Peace…

It seems to me… constitutionalists have had enough and are finally acting in the interests of our nation and indeed the human race itself. This is shown by the reaction of customers, to the NFL poking us in the eye, the slow motion train wreck of Netflix, ESPN’s committing seppuku, etc… businesses need customers. Constitutionalists are people who are happy to let the world turn, while we live our own lives, but progressives, socialists and Marxists are unable to let other people live in peace, so after decades of being pushed around we have finally taken a stand. I believe people who support our Constitution are the vast majority of the people, but the media plies us with constant propaganda, telling us we are an extremist minority. The sound of our outrage is slowly growing to a deafening roar.

The reaction to the NFL taking a vitriolic anti American stand, which is basically defecating on the graves of our fallen soldiers, is just one example of how we are able to move the needle back to sanity… by acting individually. People, loyal fans of football, were outraged that millionaire boys chasing a ball around a field had the audacity to spit in our face, we who work hard, have sacrificed for others and do the dirty jobs. No one wants to be called a racist, by a spoiled brat who is himself a racist, especially when the average Joe doesn’t burn a single calorie thinking about race, because we are far too busy changing tires, selling sofas, chasing leaks or framing a house. Only a fool of the highest order offends their customers… showing the NFL players and owners to be fools of the highest order.

As the new class progressive corporate leadership move their companies away from providing goods and services to open cronyism, and pushing an anti Constitutional agenda, they are discovering their customers are voting with our indulgence. The deal between Netflix and the Obama’s for up to fifty million dollars, to people with absolutely zero experience in creating video content, is clearly political payola. There are initial reports of Netflix losing customers at a rapid rate, yet they stick with the deal, how does it advance shareholder interest’s, for a company to shed paying customers so it can buy extremely expensive propaganda films, that will certainly have little or no viewership? It doesn’t, the executives at Netflix are acting out the principle agent dilemma.

All we need do is act. Progressives, socialists and Marxists have used the boycott since Marx wrote his Manifesto. To deny ourselves that weapon is like refusing to use a single shot gun against people that are using machine guns. Are we not fighting for liberty itself while they fight for oppression? Why cede the tools of victory to those who would destroy freedom in all it’s forms and make the world a prison? We are such a majority that even if a small percentage of us act, boycott businesses that act against the interests of the human race and against our Constitution, by writing our congresspeople about matters we find vexing, and standing up at town halls to express our opinions. We do have a voice, and when we speak together the elite must listen, so it’s time to use that voice.

The future of the world is at stake, shall we allow diabolical forces to oppress the entire human race, only to continue a failed experiment… or take a principled stand? We only grow when we get out of our comfort zones. It may take a bit of effort to cancel a subscription, change stores, write a letter or post an article, but it helps us grow. Perhaps it is easier to allow the forces of darkness to win? Darkness is only vanquished by the light, that is why all oppressors censor the free flow of information, to protect themselves from the light. When you see injustice point it out, shine a light on it, so that all can see it. So, what are you waiting for, act now, make a difference and together we might be able to drag our world from the precipice of oppression, violence and want.

The Age of the Double Standard

It seems to me, a real leader leads by example… while a sociopath leads by violence. This is one way to reliably tell the two apart. True leaders don’t do one thing and demand others do something else. That is not leadership. Not just today but throughout time, most of our “leaders” have in fact been slime balls, holding others to a much higher standard than themselves. Now however the progressives have elevated the double standard to an art. Government holds the people to a much higher standard of conduct than the police, judges, congresspeople, the President and especially members of the deep state. Government officials today are as above the law… as the rest of us are below it’s protections. Perhaps in the future, the age we live in now will be called… the age of the double standard.

This is not a recent problem, in Confucius’ time, the Duke of Lu asked Confucius how to stop his subjects from coveting, greed, lust and perversion, Confucius replied the Duke could lead by example and stop doing those things himself. Shortly after… Confucius and his disciples had to flee Lu state. The way Cyrus the great was discovered, was by the fact he was playing king and ordered an aristocrat’s son beaten. Since only a member of the aristocracy were so double-dealing, it was discovered Cyrus was in fact, the heir to the throne of Persia. History is full of examples of leaders leading by violence to keep the people from following them into vice. Today however, the elite are so bold and comfortable in their power, they openly pursue a double standard for all to see.

The elite today have no shame at all, they openly engage in insider trading even as they send citizens to jail for it, which is certainly not leading by example. When the government lies to you, it is politics, but when you lie to the government, it is a felony. When government passes thought laws that only apply to certain segments of the population the double standard cannot be denied. Especially when the party in power colludes with foreigners, to indict the other party for colluding with foreigners… and everyone knows it, but the media, deep state and law enforcement focus on the victim and not the perpetrator. If a political leader today did lead by example, he or she would be crucified by the media that calls itself unbiased and prosecuted by the deep state for highlighting their villainy.

One negative effect of a double standard is that crime becomes endemic. Why should you and I follow laws that those who passed them don’t? The only reason is the threat of punishment, punishment that the elite are immune to. This can be illustrated by the effects of progressivism in Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, etc… they were at one time nice places to live, until progressives took them over. Now, due to the blatant double standard and corrupt leadership, they are not even nice places to visit. Europe was fairly crime free until it fell under the spell of progressivism. Today Europe is a hell hole that is speeding rapidly into genocide, poverty, violence and religious wars. Clearly, those who have no fear of government violence, must break the laws… they are just following their leaders.

Raising the double standard to an art is an amazingly diabolical act. Leading by example is much harder than leading by violence. Why should a member of the elite not rape little children? They certainly will not be held to account for it… like in Rotherham, Parliament or the many unreported scandals by the elite in the US. The more deranged and self absorbed the elite become the more the double standard grows. Lacking shame is pretty handy, when it comes to doing that which you forbid others to do, by threat of violence. Another quality of those who lack shame is sociopathy. Of course, sociopaths are the most likely to seek power to abuse, and so sociopaths are over represented in government. Obviously, a sociopath will never lead by example… always by force of violence. So, welcome to the age of the double standard.

Trust Your Eyes… Not the Grifter

It seems to me, many of us, for many reasons, would rather believe a huckster than our own eyes. Whether out of laziness, self doubt, self delusion, weak mindedness, etc… the fault lies in us. The shyster cannot work his guile on people who are situationally aware, self assured and tireless. Often, the scammer will enchant us by holding out that which we most desire as bait, and in that way get us to ignore what our own eyes, minds and common sense scream to us. This way, even the most intelligent can be driven into nets and trapped, even as they say, “I know, I know…” This truth cannot be denied. History is nothing but a list of tragic examples proving the point. Yet how much easier would our lives be, if we did indeed give our own eyes, mind and common sense the gravitas we do grifters?

The used car business is built on the principle, we will ignore our eyes and minds and go with our hearts most every time. That is why a car ad doesn’t tout the car’s statistics, they go long on the car’s feel, status and atmosphere. Rather than shop based on pure self interest we temper our self interest with emotion. Cars are not the only thing that is sold on emotion, status and feel though, virtually everything you buy and sell is in some way based on how it makes the consumer feel, what status it bestows and it’s appeal, as well as it’s utility, price for function, etc… We are emotional, it is a fundamental quality of human beings, but we also have the ability to reason. Reason however is not the handmaiden of emotion but anneals it.

While moving a used car or a sofa is not a sin, fooling someone into ceding a nation to authoritarianism is. The same tactics and strategies used by Wells Fargo to get people to put money in their bank despite the atrocious record they have with stealing from their customers, Equifax to get us to trust them again with all our most valuable information, and cruise ship companies to get us to continue riding their fancy expensive petri dishes… that are used by the political class to get us trust a government that cannot tell the truth, accept that colluding with foreigners to generate a political indictment for colluding with foreigners is perfectly acceptable, that our leaders are not utterly corrupt despite the Panama Papers, that unlimited immigration selecting for criminals will work out well, or that freedom is slavery.

The same qualities that make one hard to scam by the political class makes one better at seeing the enchantments of criminals. Fall for the Nigerian prince who wants to move several million dollars to the US and just needs your help? You might also believe that a government bureaucrat is going to save you money on your health care too. Ever given your bank details so some foreign lottery can transfer a million dollars into your account? You might also complain about your taxes as you vote progressive as well. Have you immediately sent your private information to an email address you don’t know because an email from them said you had been hacked? It is possible you have also been duped into believing there is a revenue problem with government instead of a spending problem. Anyone can fall for a well rehearsed trick, but the machinations of the political class must be clumsy.

Yes indeed, every aspect of our lives is improved when we pay attention, trust our eyes, our minds and common sense. Instead of letting our emotions take us for a ride, imagining what we would do with that windfall and instead open our eyes and examine the deal. Reason is there to temper our emotion, not provide post facto excuses… justifying our emotional decisions and instead provide reason for other more logical ones. Logic can only function when one allows oneself to see and so is situationally aware, has self awareness, is open minded, can soften their emotions with reason, and listens to their inner common sense. So, next time you get a certified check for $100.00 and all you have to do is send back $50.00… or maybe vote for someone who will take from others to give to you.
