Are You A Good Person?

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the best working definition of a good person, is someone who follows the Golden Rule. The Golden Rule is, “do unto others as you would have others do unto you…” It is also found in Confucianism, Confucius called it “Reciprocity,” – a human hearted men maintains his fences on the left as he would have his neighbor on the right maintain his. The Golden Rule is also the best measure of the justness of an act. Would the actor want his actions done to him? Or in judging another, would you want to be judged as harshly as you judge others? Philosophy is an area that must include the Golden Rule, for is a philosopher good, who would never accept his own philosophy forced on himself? If we want to have a civil, prosperous and healthy society… this is a lesson we must learn.

A hypocrite is someone who does not follow the Golden Rule and we have all been taught to associate the word hypocrite with someone who is bad. They are bad because they do not follow the Golden Rule. That is how highly our civilization has historically held the Golden Rule. You see it applied in the stories of Herodotus, Plutarch and Livy. Those who didn’t were recorded as villains. In at least one instance, Herodotus refused to name a villain, lest he give him immortality. History has rightly labeled those who do not follow the Golden Rule as oppressors, liars and thieves. Think about what a hypocrite is. He or she is someone who demands from another, that which they would never tolerate themselves, which clearly is not… doing unto another that which he or she would want done to them!

You have probably heard the old adage, “You can judge a person’s character by how he treats the help.” This also refers to the Golden Rule. Because someone who treats the help well, is treating them like she would like to be treated… were she the help. Doing unto another as you would have them do unto you. We all recognize this as virtuous behavior and see those who abuse waiters and staff as boorish… even as we might laugh at their childish antics out of social convention. Wouldn’t it be more civilized to follow the Golden Rule and point out such oafish behavior? Tolerating open abuse is to ignore the Golden Rule, since if you were being mistreated and were powerless to stop it, wouldn’t you want someone else to step in? The more outrageous the abuse the greater the imperative to intervene.

The Golden Rule presupposes a capacity for empathy. Empathy is the ability to see from another’s point of view. I believe it is a learned trait. Something we learn in our toddler years, and if we miss that open door, it remains closed for the rest of our lives. Nevertheless, it is empathy that allows one to reliably follow the golden Rule, and empathy comes from the heart. Empathy can be a double edged sword. If I were addicted to heroine, I would want legal and free heroine, but would that be the best for me? On the other hand, is it in an addict’s best interest, to keep heroine illegal, so fentanyl can leech into the supply of illicit heroine, and cause 70,000 overdose deaths in 2017? Moreover, is it our place to force another to follow our ethos, because we think it is best for them? Do we want others to do that to us?

Imagine a world where people applied the Golden Rule. It would be easy to start a business, have a family, your family would be safe while you are at work, crime would be very low, innovation would constantly improve our lives and people would have fulfilled existences, if a bit dull. How then do we get to this Nirvana, where everyone follows the Golden Rule and life is great? We start by following it ourselves. Lead by example. Goodness is more contagious than evil, since we are attracted to good, and repulsed by evil. Our examples will lead others to adopt the strategy for themselves, which will in turn change the actions, opinions and thoughts of others. Because, while society follows it’s leaders, they need not all be in government and media. Be good, be a leader and lead, by following the Golden Rule.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Natural Rights

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, our natural Rights interconnect, like Ikea furniture. By interconnect, I mean they both support, bind and protect each other. They are like ropes that are so intertwined they create a 3D structure. Remove any rope from the structure… and it collapses. Our Rights are the same, remove any one of them and the others quickly become irrelevant. Eliminate freedom of association and we can be oppressed individually with no one the wiser. Take away the freedom of speech and propaganda makes democracy a rubber stamp. Remove the freedom to keep and bear arms and government will establish a tyranny. Each Right supporting the others, creating a structure that promotes prosperity, civility, health and humanity… a 3D structure that is civilization itself.

There are two kinds of Rights, Natural Rights and government granted rights. Government granted rights insidiously negate Natural Rights. Government granted rights are those that require someone else be forced to participate. Single payer healthcare for example. In a state of nature we are morally obligated to help people who we come upon injured. Just as we would hope a stranger coming upon us would help were we injured. A moral obligation is different from a Right however. To conflate the two is a logical fallacy… or a spurious argument. Moreover, anything granted by a group of people, ie “government,” can be taken away by a group of people. Most importantly… unless there is a group of people to provide that “right,” it does not, indeed, cannot exist.

Natural Rights on the other hand are those that one receives in a state of nature. Presumably, we all agree that the original state of mankind, was that of a hunter gatherer, we lived in a state of nature. In that state of nature we had certain Rights, not voiced or legislated, but inherent in our existence. The right to speak our mind, the right to defend ourselves from lions or raiders, the right to associate with our friends, the right to our stuff, the right to live where we were born. These Rights are inherent, we are born with them, and anything inherent cannot be done away with, anymore than I could do away with my spine. Natural Rights define what it is to be a human being as opposed to a cow, snake or ant. They presuppose self awareness, individuality and agency.

To believe that we have outgrown Natural Rights is to believe we are no longer human. We could no more outgrow Natural Rights than we could, vision, hearing or thought itself. They are intrinsic to being human. To those who secretly think, “I like that the government is oppressing…” Christian white men, blacks, Jews, the English, Republican Irish, Roma, etc… beware who they decide to oppress tomorrow. Because to withhold someone else their Natural Rights is to abdicate one’s own… this is a strand of the 3D structure. Remove it and the structure falls. While we cannot outgrow Natural Rights… we could regress below them. If we become animals… animals don’t have or need Natural Rights. They cannot speak, choose who they associate with, have a conscience or can reckon.

Truly, our Natural Rights are woven into a civilization that while imperfect, is one that has risen far above any that has come before, in health, wealth and knowledge… if not in wisdom. Our Rights interconnect in subtle ways that defy the clumsy machinations of would be oppressors and busybodies. This is why psychopaths must connive ways of hoodwinking people, into acting out of charity, and thus giving up our Natural Rights in the process. Once one Right is fully removed, the rest will fall apart. It is up to us then to protect the Gordian Knot of our Natural Rights. Object when government grants rights that undermine our Natural Rights. In doing so, we protect the structure that will in turn protect our children and grandchildren, from the usurpations of psychopaths in office.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Here is how a war that no one dies in… could lead to the extinction of the Human race.

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the results of the recent India anti satellite test, shows that even a limited outbreak of anti satellite warfare in orbit… would make orbit unusable for perhaps a century or more. This is a very big deal. Government’s from Imperial China, Russia and the US have already demonstrated anti satellite capabilities. Moreover, the increase in tensions across the globe makes such a possibility likely. Think about the ramifications of making orbit unusable. Telcom satellites would quickly collide with debris from the fight and become useless, television satellites would become a thing of the past, weather forecasting by satellite imagery gone, all simply adding to the debris field. Such a situation should be avoided at all costs, but in their genius, the global elite are barreling towards it.

A few months ago India knocked out one of their own satellites. The space community was up in arms since some of the debris field will be in orbit for perhaps a decade. This leads to a danger to other important space hardware. The International Space Station among them. India claimed the debris will deorbit quickly since the target satellite was in a low orbit. Yet, the explosion kicked some of the debris into a higher orbit, making it more dangerous and long lasting. While the US was indignant, the US government has conducted similar tests and China has also destroyed satellites in orbit. No nation is without sin in this regard. Nevertheless, building and testing equipment is a sure sign it could be used in the future, to our great disservice.

Imagine the debris field that would be generated if the US’ Geo positioning satellite constellation was destroyed in a conflict?!?! Hundreds of satellites breaking into millions of bits, spreading to random orbits? That would be like stray neutrons in a pile of uranium 235. The effect would cascade as more satellites were destroyed by impact with debris from earlier events. Eventually orbit itself would become too dangerous to operate in. Once that happens, say goodbye to many of the things we take for granted today. Google Earth would be stuck at whatever date the conflict made orbit unusable, mineral locating by satellite would end, intercontinental calls would have to be routed via underwater lines, television would be back to cable and open air, etc… our whole way of life would have to change.

If orbit becomes unusable getting people to the Moon and Mars would become impossible. Many people would like to see mankind become an interplanetary species. Others would rather lock us onto Earth forever. A conspiracy theorist might conclude, anyone who doesn’t want mankind to become an interplanetary species, need only start a war in orbit, and we would be trapped here for a century or more. Simply get one nation to test anti satellite weapons, to force everyone else to catch up, and the race is off. Of course, anyone who is so conniving as to do such a thing, would have to be psychopathic or sociopathic. Regardless of who or why it is done, a war in orbit would guarantee we stay a single planetary species, for the foreseeable future.

What is needed, is an international agreement not to wage warfare in orbit, such an accord might protect orbit for awhile. This is an imperative, because other than nuclear war, nothing else has such global implications and long lasting consequences. The inevitable war for water and resources on the Moon, the coming genocidal religious wars in Europe, the wars of conquest Imperial China will launch against her neighbors and any other major conflict, as long as nuclear weapons are withheld, will have only local effects, while an orbital conflict, against orbital assets, will have long lasting and global effects. Perhaps even existential, if an asteroid is predicted to impact earth… and because of our foolishness we have lost the ability to divert it, we will have forged our own extinction.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Monopoly Is The Tool Of Oppression.

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, Google, Facebook, Youtube and Twitter, among others, have become tools of oppression. Uniformly enforcing a certain political view to the exclusion of others. While that is normally the role of a “Stermabetilung,” the tech giants have taken on that role with gusto, to our detriment. Lord Acton said, “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” That is true of kings, senates and corporations. Monopoly is almost always a function of government policies, and Google started on CIA seed money, which makes it’s monopoly, and the absolute power it wields, that of the bureaucracy, and the new class progressive faction that owns it. Which means, any regulation the monopolies, Facebook, Google, and Twitter face, will be written by themselves, for themselves.

In an alarming story that few know about… Google manipulated search results in California, and by doing so, changed the outcome of elections in normally republican districts to democrat… rendering democracy obsolete. Even as Youtube is quick to ban or demonetize a conservative, but allows even open calls for violence, pedophilia and terrorism… just not anything that ridicules progressives or progressive protected groups. Just as Twitter suppresses conservatives by diabolical means, like shadow banning, Facebook is quick to punish thought crimes by temporary suspensions and so forth. They all act out the desires of the progressive faction, suppressing pro constitutional political speech. These are the actions of political tools rather than for profit companies.

It is only through their monopoly status that they can act this way. Any company that faced even close to perfect competition, has to be extremely reactive to their customer’s wants and needs, rather than some dark political faction, if it was to stay afloat for more than a day. Only where people are channelized into certain firms, can those firms engage in actions that clearly violate the interests, wants and needs of their customers, because there is no place else to go! That is the beauty of monopoly and big government, the people have no where else to turn, we are captured! Judge Greene broke up Ma Bell, Standard Oil was shattered and American Tobacco was chopped up, because they were a threat to competition and the citizenry. Today’s monopolies are set up, by government, for just that purpose.

When a company enforces censorship based on politics, that company is a tool of oppression. If the phone company censored phone conversations, based on political content, would that not be oppression? Even though a private company is doing it? Big tech is utterly enthralled by progressivism. Techies are the perfect people to be captured by an idea. They are geniuses at programming, creativity and implementation of that creativity, so they believe themselves infallible. They are not experts at economics, climate, sociology, history, religion, philosophy or humanism, yet they think they are. So they use their genius to foist absurdity on people who know better, but are powerless to stop them. Their hubristic ignorance has made them the tools of oppression.

Now the tech giants are openly pleading with the government to regulate them… they have given up Br’er Rabbit’s tactic with Br’er Fox… Skin me alive, burn me or boil me in oil, just don’t thrown me in that brier patch! A warren of regulations that will permanently protect their monopoly status, but they have made us so mad… they beg for the brier patch! If any regulation is foisted on Google, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, it should be anti trust regulation. Break them up. Make Google a generic name that leads to a page with a multitude of search engine results side by side and make the user databases and content of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter available for competitors to use. Don’t let them write their own regulations, granting themselves permanent monopolies… that would just be stupid.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Has Government Ever Succeeded?

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, government itself has been proven throughout the ages, to be a sub optimal means of protecting us, arbitrating disagreements and establishing order… the three fundamental roles of government. Once something has failed every time it is tried, that is proof it is unfit for the job. Failure then, is evidence something needs to be replaced. If you use balsa wood for a shovel handle, and it breaks every time you use it, like government’s spectacular failures, a wise person would at least consider using a more suitable wood, like white ash. If on the other hand, I have a monopoly on balsa wood, I would never allow ash to be used. Failure would be money in my pocket, the more my product fails, the higher the demand for it… just like government.

Government, far more often than not, endangers us instead of protecting us. A modern example is the CIA lying to us, (and supposedly the President) leading to a decades long war. As part of the US strategy in that decades long war, US soldiers guard poppy fields, so the CIA can handle it for profit, and heroin produced and distributed from it has resulted in 70,000 overdose deaths in the US in 2017 alone. Dwarfing the US death count of Vietnam’s 60,000. WWII was the inevitable result of the treaty of Versailles… another failure. Wherever government is most powerful war becomes inevitable. Like Imperial China conquering Tibet in the 1950’s. Far from protecting us from war, government uses us like ammunition, with every bit as much concern for our children… as they have for a bullet.

All governments eventually become despotic, if history teaches us anything, it teaches us that. From time immemorial, people have tried to create a system of government that didn’t become despotic. The Greeks tried pure democracy, only to be stymied by Pericles. The Romans used the consular system, only to be upended by Marius and Sulla. Constitutions were introduced during the Enlightenment and have had zero success. Even the vaunted US Constitution is powerless to protect the citizenry from the usurpations of the elite. The Judicial branch itself has become a tool of our oppressors, as highlighted in anti Constitutional rulings like, Dredd Scot, Wickard V Filburn, Roe V Wade, etc… showing that any innovation in government will eventually be turned to tyranny.

More often than not, government policies create chaos, rather than eliminate it. Someone jaded might reckon the Hegelian dialectic is being used, so often is chaos created by government policies, obviously to create chaos. How does reintroducing once eradicated diseases like TB, Measles, and even plague, order society? It doesn’t, disease creates disorder, not order. Yet in the US the policies of the progressive Obama administration, reintroduced TB, Measles and Plague back into the US. They were eradicated before he came to office and were epidemic when he left office. Obama’s policies clearly established the conditions for their reemergence. His policies then, created chaos, not order, Fast and Furious, sanctuary cities, Libya, Syria, etc… unintentionally or intentionally.

A totally new paradigm needs to be implemented to take the place of government. One that actually establishes order, adjudicates disputes fairly and protects us. Anything else that fails as often and with the human cost, as government, would have been eradicated. As medicine did bleeding, lead based remedies, and shaking a chicken foot over a patient. They failed as means to cure disease, like government has failed, in protecting us from war, adjudicating our disputes fairly and keeping order in our societies. Only because government provides a means for “great men,” (psychopaths), to get and maintain power over “ordinary men,” has government been kept. There are other options, propaganda to the contrary be damned, nothing could fail us as badly as shaking a chicken foot over us has.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Factionalism

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, politics places the individual at odds with the group, moreover, it elevates the group above the individual. Political power comes from people banding into groups, factions, that have a common purpose. As politics becomes more pervasive, and encompass’ ever greater power over our lives and fortunes, we must become more political, to protect those things from politics. Thus politics factionalizes society. Can it be said that a factionalized society is better than a coherent one? Perhaps, but I suspect not. Today, people are centrifugally spreading from the middle to the extremes, to enhance our political power, in ever more politically intolerant times. That is why we have become highly factionalized… because politics has become such a force in our lives.

The individual is the atom of society. The smallest unit that can exist as a political entity. While a faction is a political organization, then city, county, state, and nation are still larger political creatures. Some would even like to see a world government. With each step away from the individual, the atom, the less effect any one atom, (human being) has over the political machine. If a world government was enacted, our democratic check of the elite would disappear, like a fart in a whirlwind. Only on the scale of faction can any effect be made on a political entity two steps beyond the individual. The larger the government entity, the less effect the individual has on it, yet the more people a political machine has under it’s control, the more derived power that organization will claim!

Most people would rather be left alone… but wouldn’t mind running other people’s lives for them. We all have this tendency. As a philosopher once said, (I don’t remember who), we will readily admit another’s superior intellect but never his wisdom, for we see his at a distance and ours close at hand. Many of us look around at our fellows and only see what they are doing wrong… and just know that if we had the power, we could fix them. Never mind our own lives are a mess. This is all well and good, until the busybody gets political office. The higher the political office, the easier to manipulate the masses for, “our own good,” and the less oversight they have. That is when the busybody becomes a danger to liberty, prosperity and innovation… and do it with the full support of their conscience.

As politics becomes more intrusive to the individual’s life, the individual must become more political, else he or she will be destroyed by it. Who gravitates to jobs where you can intrude on other people’s lives with impunity? Busybodies, that’s who. As government grows, it brings in ever more busybodies, who think they know better than you and I, how we should run our lives, based on progressive post modernist doctrine. Not satisfied to ruin only their own life, they set themselves to making the ruination commonplace, so most of us are then forced to engage in politics, if only to hold off the busybodies in government. If the busybodies are two levels above us or more though, in state government for example, we have to coalesce into factions, to effect such a large political machine.

Since the individual is the atom of politics, politicians exploit the number of people, (atoms) they “represent,” as chits in a power game. The more chits under their control the less say any one chit has. Forcing those chits, you and I, to become engaged because if we don’t, we are political pawns. So we form factions to fight for what we want, to be busybodies or to fight busybodies. While most will understand this argument, many will be repulsed at the obvious solution… lower the role, scope and power of government, (politics) in our lives. Only that will stop pitting the individual against factions, intent on spending what we have earned, and running our lives for us. Until that solution is at least understandable, we will continue to factionalize, pitting the individual against the group.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Why Does the World Suck?

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, whenever government does something, that action is also accompanied by a message. The message can be a positive motivator of men, or it can be a negative one, but every action does indeed send a message. When murder is punished by the death penalty, for example, the message is, “If you take someone else life unjustly, the State will take yours… justly.” The message there is not to kill others. When we avoid killing each other, there is less chaos… which means businesses can thrive, children can walk to school and food is plentiful. When the government refuses to prosecute, or even investigate someone because of their political favor, the message is different. That message is, “some people are more equal than others.” Which powerfully effects our society.

Government in this way sends messages to society all the time. Every regulation, policy, permit and even plank in a platform, send a message. The rise of the welfare state sends many messages… fathers are no longer necessary, the roof can now support the foundation, you are more likely to become poor than get rich, etc… when it is illegal to feed the poor, the message is virtue is bad. Planks in political platforms send powerful messages about what a faction believes, where they want the nation to go and who they serve. You have to read between the lies… and lines. Often the real goal is in opposition to the stated one. This is done by passing a law that is supposed to do one thing, but the message creates the opposite effect.

Society reacts to these messages in subtle ways. We don’t consciously listen for the message, it slides in under the radar… to society as a whole. This makes the messages sent by the elite, that run our government and culture, very effective at changing society for the better, or worse. The effect is strongest among the weak and vulnerable. They are the ones who openly act out the intent of the message and suffer the most for it. The lust for transsexuals has created laws and regulations, out of “compassion,” along with the accompanying messages, creating a wave of people self sterilizing to become playthings… who will most likely end up committing suicide. But that’s okay, because they will no longer be pretty anymore, anyway. You see how powerful and sinister these messages can be.

The result is the society we find ourselves in. The level of homelessness, how many school shootings there are a year, the factionalization of our society, crime rate, poverty rate, business ownership rate, etc… in short, every statistic that can be looked at, is most strongly effected by the messages the political elite send us through government actions and policies. The effect is compounded by the fact we are locked into government monopoly schools. This allows the new class progressive faction, that controls our education system, to inculcate these messages directly to our children. Every problem, and indeed virtue we find in our societies, are a result of the messages we are sent by our governments actions. Our society as it is, is as it is, because of the messages government sends.

To change society then, we must change the messages government sends, to do that we must first examine the messages. What messages do… holding the boarders open, government subsidizing abortion, anti constitutional laws, selective enforcement of laws, selective punishment of laws, the welfare state, ever more absurd legal rulings, etc… send? These messages are often at odds with the stated goals of the policies that send them. Selective punishment of laws, tells people there is no real justice, and where justice is for appearances, people will not act justly, and society will be filled with injustice of all kinds. We must ask ourselves, maybe it’s time to look at the messages government sends, as well as stated intentions… to make our society what we want, rather than what we don’t want.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

The Acquisition of Power

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, we have to come to grips with the fact, progressives care nothing about the people… only power. Every position they take is against individual liberty, humanity and God. They talk a good game about “fairness” and “social justice,” but those are simply Orwellian newspeak terms, where “fairness” requires government to be unfair, and “social Justice” requires injustice. Power is their reason de etre’, it is the warp and the woof of their existence, motivating them to get up in the morning. Progressives embody Thrasymachus’ “great men.” Manipulating people into self harm, by calling evil good and good evil, they have no morality other than the acquisition and use of power. Once, and only when we truly understand this, can we fight their machinations effectively.

The first thing we must do is wrest back the education system. There is almost universal agreement a voucher system would drastically improve the quality of education in the US. A voucher system, is one where public taxes would be distributed to parents as a voucher, so the parents could choose the school that best suits their children. This would allow smaller specialty schools to open and a vast number of experiments to take place in education. Obviously innovation would, as it always does, improve the quality and quantity while lowering the cost. Progressives argue against it, and indeed would die on this issue, because without indoctrination, almost everyone would embrace Enlightenment values rather than a return to the Rights of Kings. We have to be taught to be good little socialist citizens.

Does anyone really thing progressives want to get rid of the electoral college… out of fairness! What a joke! Probably they do want to get rid of a founding principle to make elections more fair! The exact opposite is true and everyone knows it. Especially progressives. Being so blindly ambitious they care nothing for the negative consequences for the democratic element of our Republic. The internal stresses, of having the productive faction of our nation placed under the jack boot of the left coasts, would trigger violence. In Orwell’s Animal Farm, what happened to the horse? Unlike in 1920’s Russia, in America… the horse has sharp teeth. Disenfranchising Middle America might lead to democratic hegemony of the President, but could lead to civil war… and only a psychopath would want that.

The erosion of journalistic liberty is alarming. As new class progressive “journalists” destroy their reputations by lying, and remaining silent as real journalists, people who tell the people what our government is really up to, the actual role of a journalist, Julian Assange is being tried for espionage and faces life in prison. Progressives were silent when Obama targeted Fox news reporters then, lately they are silent as Tommy Robinson was imprisoned for exposing Rape Gangs!!! Rape Gangs had more protection from having their horrific crimes revealed, (because their crimes lead directly to Parliament), than he has to free speech! Even as the Elected “representatives” in the West, decry very real Russian transgressions against freedom of speech, three fingers point back at them.

Every progressive position, is one that is at odds with the best interests of humanity and the nation, but align perfectly with progressive’s ambitions. They are willing to create internal tensions by disenfranchising eighty percent of the nation for absolute power. We pour more and more money into our government monopoly education system, and it turns out children unable to read and comprehend a face clock, cursive or an news paper, they are not taught a word about Mao’s famines, rebuilding an engine, philosophy or profit loss statements. Progressives defend Rape gangs, even as they claim there is a war on women, to rally women to them. Every position progressives take is to enhance their political power… the nation and humanity be damned, so they can be the kings they see themselves as.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

On Tolerating Intolerance

Dear Friends,

It seems to me… the left has become despotically intolerant. Progressives cannot be reasoned with, acting like children, they demand that we not only tolerate outright evil… but pay for it as well! The progressive faction today is more intolerant than the Nazis were. Imagine how intolerant someone must be, to accost a family with children in a restaurant, because of politics?! How close minded to demand the silencing of someone because you don’t want others to hear the message?! Would you ever go to someone’s house and scream at a woman cowering inside, that you are going to rape and kill her… because she has a different idea of the role and scope of government? These actions are those of people who have had a psychotic break with reality. They are not the actions of rational human beings.

Civilization requires as a prerequisite, tolerance. Intolerant civilizations exist, but are uniformly poor, oppressed and hungry. History cannot be denied in this. The industrial revolution could not have happened under anything other than an Enlightened society, economy and people. Only where people are allowed to follow their dreams and ambitions, without regulation from busybodies, can civilization advance. Even Islam had a golden age of tolerance. Short lived as it was, when the intolerant came back to power, it was over. For a civilization to be healthy, prosperous, and safe, it must also be tolerant. The Enlightenment was all about tolerance blended with healthy skepticism. Intolerance, as progressives exploit, can only end our time of prosperity, health and safety.

There is a saying, the intolerant win. Take for example, you are throwing a party, there’s a vegan coming and three meat eaters. You will have a vegan option for her and maybe everyone will have to eat vegan. Because the meat eaters can eat vegan, but the vegan will not eat meat. The intolerant wins. This is true to a point. However, when people are seen as intolerant and unreasonable, they will be ostracized. That is the limiting factor for intolerance. Just as Clausewitz said there is a limiting factor on how violent war can get, and was proven correct by the Versailles Treaty, intolerance has a limit as well. That limit is, the tolerance of the majority for irrational intolerance. Once that limit is reached, the intolerant will be ostracized, for the egoists they are.

When a tolerant civilization becomes so tolerant, it tolerates intolerance, that civilization is on it’s way out. Rational tolerance is for ideas, people, innovation and change. Irrational tolerance is for violence, censorship, fear or oppression to address past oppression. Tolerance of such things can only lead to an intolerant society. That follows like water from a spigot. Civilization itself is jeopardized when an intolerant faction uses violence to enforce it’s intolerance. Any faction that feels it must silence others with fear, riots and threats, is one that should be ostracized, else every faction must adopt violence and intolerance to stay in the game. For civilization to function, we need to be rationally tolerant, and ostracize the irrationally intolerant.

No honest broker could claim the left is tolerant of ideas, innovation or change. They would never accept what they demand others do. Can you imagine a progressive knuckling under to being silenced on a college campus? How often has that happened! The progressive movement has always been loudmouthed, hubristic, calculating and amoral, but now it has become intolerant as well. One could claim, the eugenics movement was a form of intolerance then as well, pointing to a deep, septic, congenital cavity in the heart of progressivism. Their intolerance has become so bad that it threatens even our very civilization! No civilization can withstand such extreme intolerance of itself, it’s institutions and it’s values… from within. In the end. We tolerate the left’s intolerance, at our peril.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

The Electoral College

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, when he loses, a scoundrel changes the rules rather than tries a new strategy. That is because it is in a scoundrel’s nature to be manipulative. Today the democrat party is seeking to change the rules for the Presidential election… showing them to be scoundrels. By their actions, the scoundrels that run the DNC prove daily, they despise the electorate. Why else would the democrats do everything in their power to subvert and pervert the vote? They have been caught in outright vote fraud, busing people from station to station, encourage aliens to vote, undermine any effort to clean up the rolls, demand children vote because they can be easily manipulated in the monopoly school system… and now want to eliminate the electoral college. Stealing suffrage from the people… how progressive.

The elephant in the room is the fact that the huge population centers are progressive bastions. They house millions of people, almost none of which ever have to come into contact with reality. Living in a fantasy they don’t understand how the world works. In their pretend world, electricity comes from the wall, there are no laws of thermodynamics, wild animals aren’t dangerous, food comes from the organic store, and they take it for granted they will live for a century. Being out of touch with reality, they can be convinced of anything, and that is the point. So they vote progressive… and if the progressives, the scoundrels, can get rid of the electoral college, they will have disenfranchised, thus enslaved the rest of the nation, the part that lives in contact with reality. Thus insuring democrat monopoly on power.

Socrates didn’t like democracy, at least not popular democracy, he believed for democracy to work the voters needed to be educated. There have been various plans put forth to enact this vision for the voters. The founding fathers believed in individual education, creating rugged individualists, capable, smart, wise and industrious. Dewy changed that paradigm, to one where the people were educated to have a slave mindset, be “good citizens” rather than rugged individuals. Even with the progressive indoctrination in the monopoly public schools, reality wakes too many, and so the scoundrels have decided to water down their vote. By turning a blind eye to fraud, aliens voting and now the electoral college, democrat scoundrels, are destroying the democratic element of our Republic.

The Democrat party has embraced post modernist philosophy, which is why they have changed from being the party that represented, (even poorly) the downtrodden, to being the party of the elite. Where they used to be patriots, now they stand for global government. Post modernism teaches that reality doesn’t exist except as a means to power. Even mathematics, science, history and logic are “racist,” in that they back and provide a foundation for the patriarchal hegemony. Post modernism has taken class struggle to the next step… group struggle. All they see is groups vying for dominance, some are victims and others are oppressors. The oppressors, regardless of their individual merits, are to be punished to benefit the victims, regardless of their individual faults. Westerners are the oppressors.

Scoundrels will get what they want, by hook or by crook, they care nothing of the consequences for future generations. Post modernists only believe in one thing, political power to punish oppressors and reward the oppressed. Not by individual merit but by group affiliation. Since overthrowing the patriarchy is the goal, reality doesn’t count and power is all that matters… the scoundrels, progressives, seek to undermine the votes of the educated and patriotic, with those of the foolish and treasonous. They seek the destruction of the United States as an entity, to be replaced with a global professional government, by administration. To that end, they need to get rid of the electoral college, because it stands in the way of total power, the progressive scoundrel’s fantasy… a single party state.

Sincerely

John Pepin
