Limericks

Dear Friends,

The elite claim they’re full of virtues,
High minded ideas they did seduce,
Singing globalist refrains,
One question remains,
Are the elite stupid or just obtuse?

The demands for despotism build up like phlegm,
Even as patriotism Marxists roundly condemn,
So they always picket,
Here’s the dirty secret,
They want us to live under communism not them.

Our wrongspeak is what gives them hell,
As we call out their absurdist lies as well,
Liberty’s flaw,
A hypocrite’s law,
And the dross won’t stop till we’re all in a cell.

Some people are just a raw nerve,
Lacking confidence agency and verve,
They complain very loud,
Hidden in a crowd,
Without ever knowing who they serve.

Idle people make leaders nervous,
Making them think there is a surplus,
But here’s the crux,
Even with lives deluxe,
All nations like people need a purpose.

Sincerely,
John Pepin
