It seems to me, we are being attacked by a hydra and the more heads we cut off, the stronger it gets. The problem with fighting a hydra is that it has many heads but one heart. All we see are the heads vying for power and attacking us. If we attack the creature the heads defend their heart. This is because stabbing the heart kills the monster. In the case of our culture’s hydra, the heads are Marxism, progressivism, Nazism, Socialism… and the heart is Central Planning. In the Twentieth Century we cut two heads off and four grew back. Despite the millions dead in the wars against the hydra, we embraced its heart, central planning. Today the world is awash in central planning. Every nation on the planet embraces it, and is indebted to the bankers as a result.
The head of the hydra we call national socialism, or Nazism, was cut off in a decisive war. That cost around sixty million lives. From the stump of that grew corporatism and the administrative state. By the end of the Twentieth Century the head called communism rotted off, and from its stump grew globalism and postmodernism. Communism cost the world around one hundred million human lives. Yet the heart ticks in the dark cubicles of every nation on Earth. Why is this the case? This happens because most people are mesmerized by the dancing heads, and few think of the heart that drives them. The hydra wants us to attack its heads. Cutting them off serves its purpose… not ours. That’s why we can destroy Nazism and prove communism a failure without harming the beast.
Now we are vying with post modernism, corporatism, globalism, and abetted by the administrative state. What we should be attacking is the heart… central planning. Why? It’s because all those dancing heads rely on central planning. Kill that and the heads fall dead. Identifying it isn’t as easy as it seems though. Many people refuse to stab the heart because they ally with one of the heads. The socialism head is quite friendly. Though it has deadly poison venom, it seldom bites. The head we call corporatism protects corporations from the other heads. That’s why executives love it so. Meanwhile the head called bureaucracy guards the beating heart the most ferociously. So it calls parasites of all colors to its banner, including the media. This makes the hydra’s heart difficult to stab.
This tactic, that of pitting us against each other instead of the beast is very effective. The more we defend our favored heads the less effective we are at killing the beast. Keeping us mesmerized is the media’s job. They distract us, use emotion to manipulate us, and spurious logic to confuse us. As Mark Twain supposedly didn’t say, “People who don’t read the papers are uninformed, and people who do read the papers are ill-informed.” The media has always had its place as a friendly head of the hydra. Maybe a few tens of millions of us will die fighting globalism, post modernism, or corporatism? Then that stump will sprout two more heads. You can’t simultaneously defend a monster and attack it at the same time. That’s a way certain to end in your defeat.
All beasts are able to be killed. The secret to killing this monster is to gather people to our side… to show them the beating heart of all the perverse elitist creatures we fight, is central planning. Marshal everyone to attack the heart instead of individual heads, while defending other heads. If we turn on the heart and expose it for what it is, the beast cannot live. From its blood we can count on another monster arising, but should we slay this hydra, our children could live in prosperity, safety, and freedom. Should we fail and the beast devour us, they will live in poverty, insecurity, and slavery to the hydra. So stop cutting off heads and go for the heart… central planning. At least that way we have a chance to kill the beast. Going for the heads only serves to strengthen it.
