Limericks

Dear Friends,

Sooner or later the money will run out,
Then the dependents will have to pout,
A Ponzi scheme,
A bankrupt theme,
That has to end in an economic rout.

The elite do ride about town,
Smiling from under a crown,
Filled with glee,
Never as happy,
As when they are punching down.

Democrats don’t have to budge,
Keeping the nation in the fudge,
A republic not,
Justice bought,
Because no one’s as corrupt as a judge.

Once there was a civil leftist,
Open minded bearing chest,
Honest and forthright,
Would never start a fight,
But no not really I truly jest.

There once was an economist Keynesian,
An ignoramus ideologue and _________,
Backed by law,
Tooth and ____,
Thumping his chest like a good contrarian.

Sincerely,
John Pepin
