Limericks

Dear Friends,

The Devil thinks he’ll have his day,
His allies their nations they betray,
A maggot of course,
Feasting on a corpse,
And in the end he’ll lose anyway.

This lurch rightward to the elite it isn’t soothing,
Elites have made a mess of their own choosing,
Now the people are fed up,
Political earthquakes erupt,
And it appears the Overton window is moving.

The uncategorized list muddies the pond,
Protecting those whom children are not fond,
Mix the innocent in,
Masking the sin,
And doing so break our trust and their bond.

Populism and capitalism are slandered in disgrace,
The corruption of the elite is but spit in our face,
They say we need more,
To fix what we abhor,
Though central planning caused it in the first place.

The greatest loser demands he is _____,
Opinion truth and pragmatism _______,
Muddy the _____,
Make cannon fodder,
And manipulated into self-harm by a wight.

Sincerely,
John Pepin
