Dear Friends,
What’s that protest down at the quad,
Some half-wits who think they are God,
The left is insane,
Singing a refrain,
Now they’re forming a circular firing squad.
In Davos I hear the central planners met,
Conniving and striving more power to get,
People with big eyes,
Stomachs of great size,
Who’ll burn it all down now the fire is set.
From the mechanical loom and its lore,
To ford’s cheap car and there’s more,
A cycle of instruction,
Creative destruction,
Because we’ve seen this story before.
There once was a politician named Keir,
A corrupt elite with his brain in his rear,
His party Labour,
Curries political favor,
Grasping to the power he holds so dear.
Stupid people of themselves have a grand opinion,
They look at the world and see it as their ________.
But capitalism is in their way,
A thorn in their side every ___,
As they cling to power not knowing they’re a ______.
Sincerely,
John Pepin
