Who are the Modern Tyrants?

Dear Friends,

I wonder, what makes a tyrant… a tyrant? Surely that is a question we as a society and people should ask ourselves. What is the quality that makes one a tyrant, as opposed to a jackass, and how does that quality lead to oppression? Some would say that only kings or despots are tyrants, while others would claim all white men or capitalists are tyrants. There are as many definitions of tyrant as there are political factions. What we need to do then, is do the logical equivalent of a Venn diagram, and see what qualities or attributes that all people called tyrants and oppressors share in common. Only then can we come to an understanding of what makes a tyrant, a tyrant, apply that lesson to modern powerful entities and thus avoid being tyrannized and oppressed by the powerful.

The progressive would point to the company town as an example of naked tyranny writ large… and they would be correct. The company town was an anathema to laissez faire capitalism… and a wad of gooey spit in the face of liberty. The “employees” of a company town are no more than slaves. The places were set up to insure the old song, “another day older and deeper in debt…” was true for as many people as possible. That is indeed a form of tyranny… showing tyranny need not arise from government. The workers cannot leave until their “debt” is paid. They are subjected to arbitrary rule and have no way of complaining or getting grievances addressed. They were also controlled by a single person who’s personal interests the entire enterprise served.

Someone from the Enlightenment might argue that hereditary kings are the true tyrants. Most people in a feudal system are serfs, while the noblemen are few and powerful, yet still subject to the arbitrary will of the king. Often, hereditary kings would be so inbred they would be half wits, endangering the kingdom and everyone within it. To put an end to tyranny, as practiced by kings, they were limited by constitutions. A contract between the king, (or other government) and people, upon which the powers of the government are limited to those enumerated. Protecting the people from arbitrary rule… in theory. Kings have arbitrary rule and the subjects are not free to speak their minds. A kingdom ruled by a tyrant king serves only the interests of the tyrant not the people at large.

In ancient time however they had a more discerning definition of a tyrant. Aristotle defined tyranny as a wrong form of government, in contradiction to right forms. He said the right forms are, monarchy, aristocracy and polity… while the wrong forms are tyranny, oligarchy and democracy. The ideal form is a republic, or blending of the right forms. The wrong forms have one thing in common, they all serve the interests of the rulers, not the society. A tyrant exploits his power to enrich himself at cost to the kingdom, the oligarchy exploits their authority to enrich themselves while under democracy the people vote themselves largess from the treasury… bankrupting the nation. In this case, we see that tyranny does not need to be a single person but could be any number of people, grouped to common purpose.

What do all these forms of tyranny have in common? They silence the opposition, they use arbitrary rule to enforce their power and exploit authority to enrich themselves at the cost to society. From the owners of company towns, Robber Barons, kings and despots to oligarchical hegemonies. If we apply this definition to the powerful today, (other than the administrative state), we can see who is tyrannical. Take the big tech companies, Google, Facebook and Twitter. They are modern company towns. They silence people they disagree with, exploit their monopolies to hold people, seek ever more power, act arbitrarily and without consequence… all to increase the stupendous wealth and power of their owners. Progressives used to hate company towns… but now they own them, it is a different story.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

The War On US Shale

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, if I owned a stripper well, I would “buy” oil at negative 40 bucks a barrel, and pump it into the ground. As long as the price of oil is negative I would add to my stockpile of oil and money. Why this is not done is beyond me… unless it is being done. The US government should be adding to the oil reserve as fast as it can as well. Imagine being paid to take and store oil? When the price goes positive, you can pump it out and sell it back to the people who paid you to take it! That is how absurd the markets have become. All because of a confluence of events. The Saudis and Russians have declared war on US shale producers. That this Kung Flu has broken out at the same time, deflating demand, has only exacerbated the war on US producers.

Make no mistake, if the US shale oil producers are indeed taken out by this oil glut, the price will rapidly return to 100 plus dollars a barrel, and five dollar a gallon gas. That is the goal of our “allies” the Saudis. The “war” with the Russians is only kabuki theater to cover the open attack on US producers. They are hurting at the price collapse, but have put up enough largess to weather it, or so they think. One factor in their favor is that shale oil production is relatively new, and as such, is leveraged more than it will be, once it becomes a more mature technology. That makes the window of vulnerability small and closing. Maybe that is why they are acting now. If they can get the US to become dependent on foreign oil again… they will have solved all the world’s problems overnight.

How does it get rid of the world’s problems overnight… do you ask? Because US energy independence has created huge new tensions in the balance of power in the world. The US needn’t be involved and the US population has no interest in being the world’s policeman. To secure both the US access to energy as well as protect from advancing Communism, the US was willing to foot the bill to be the world’s policeman, trade at a deficit to the world, spend thousands of lives and over a decade in a middle Eastern manure pit, support dictators across the planet and participate in the managed destruction of the US itself. By making the US energy dependent again, the US will have to reengage… and all that wonderful stuff can return.

That the US government has not stopped the flow of oil into the US to counter the dumping, is amazing, but not so much if you think about how many congresspeople the Saudi’s own. The managed decline of America could not happen unless the elite were in on it and getting rich from it. They wouldn’t participate if they were not getting something from it. Power and money usually suit the bill for treason. So if the Saudi’s want to flood the US with negatively priced oil to bankrupt US shale oil producers, I say, “buy” as much as they want to dump, and pump it into the ground. Perhaps put enough Saudi crude into the ground so Ranger Texas can become a major producer once again, after this emergency is over. If they want to dump, let’s “buy” it until the Saudi’s are broke.

Which brings us to the elephant in the room… the open warfare against the US. As I mentioned earlier, I believe it is to get the US to reengage with the world. China’s very existence depends on it and the Middle East will return to the vacant starving hell hole it once was without the US. No one else is capable of protecting the world’s sea lanes, and no one else would protect it for the world’s interests, and not turn it to their own advantage. The world without an engaged US is a return to the robber baron days. Each nation procuring and protecting it’s access to natural resources. Which is why China is so heavily engaged in Africa. That investment will be worthless if the US disengages though… how do they get the yellow cake, diamonds and chromium across thousands of miles of pirate infested seas?

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Election Year Despotism

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the progressives who are practicing medicine from the governor’s offices, House and Senate… appear to be forgetting this is an election year. One would think that a governor like the democrat despot from Michigan, would be more wary of her constituents protests, or the black faced governor of Virginia, Ralph the constitution ripper from Richmond. While they are particularly odious to their voters, the surprisingly tyrannical actions of the entire progressive apparatus, shows a complete disregard for the people they supposedly represent. Acts like, banning medicines, encouraging mingling at the outset of the epidemic, outright lying to us and panic mongering. I suppose if they can get enough vote fraud in… they will not have to worry about the voters.

Don’t worry about their health though, those edicts banning useful drugs are for the little people to follow, not progressives or the elite. So while the progressives are outlawing hydroxychloroquine for the masses, rest assured, if Obama were to come down with the Wuhan Flu, he would get all the hydroxychloroquine it takes to get him healthy again. That drug will only be banned for you and your child. Like face masks don’t work, so don’t wear them, so we can save them to protect our heroes in the hospitals… before we were told, wear face masks whenever you are out in public, they won’t help you unless they are N95, but it may save your life. To put it bluntly, progressives are only playing politics with our lives, and the lives of our loved ones… not their own.

Some people might worry that playing politics with the lives of the people you are supposed to represent might have a negative side effect, like getting shellacked in an election, but progressive power holders need not fear the voters. They have a monopoly on the media that calls itself unbiased. When one controls the flow of information, it matters not what one does, that information need not leak out. Except for the damnable internet. That is why progressives have seized control of social media, to keep a reign on the flow of information to the hoi polloi. There are of course media outlets that do tell the ugly truth and let inconvenient information out, but they are righteously slammed as fake news… by shills for progressive propaganda as well as the CCP. Dulling the impact of ugly truths.

One thing democrats despise… is voters, and our petty, stupid, idiotic grievances. That is why they so loathe democracy. We need only ask ourselves, “Why do the democrats so favor anything that abets vote fraud?” If they truly believe in democracy, why would the Broward county Florida election supervisor, Brenda Snipes, destroy republican ballots then argue that destroying ballots is not vote fraud… and get away with it? If democrats believed in democracy they would have demanded she be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. They defended her instead. In California, the democrat legislature changed the voting laws, elevating vote fraud to legality. As a reward, the democrats swept formerly strong republican bastions, routing republicans from the California Legislature.

Vote fraud has been a very effective tool of democrats for decades. Their long and storied history of busing people, to get the most bang for each democrat voter, has been the stuff of legend but is just the tip of the iceberg. Progressives are a faction that controls the narrative, has used huge amounts of vote fraud historically and is ruthlessly despotic. What will they do once they have consolidated power? Follow the actions of their heroes, Mao, Lenin and Marx perhaps? Is someone who releases murderers, rapists and home invaders from prisons, as they imprison people for going for a drive and ban the sale of self defense weapons… really interested in the health and well being of their constituents? In their guarded and gated mansions, they don’t have to worry about crime… or those pesky voters.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

The Progressive’s Panic

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the media that calls itself unbiased, has unabashedly become a mouth piece for the Chinese Communist Party. That they are allied with the Marxists is not shocking, birds of a feather… but that they have allowed that allegiance to become obvious is revealing. It hints at panic, not about the CCPandemic, but about the loss of their faction’s power. The most dangerous animal is a cornered one and the progressives feel cornered. They have pulled out all the stops in trying to rid themselves of the odious Trump. Colluding with the Russians to charge Trump with colluding with the Russians, used epic vote fraud to regain the House in 2018, impeached Trump for looking into democrat malfeasance, and now that Trump has survived all the attempts, they have cornered themselves.

The allies of the progressive faction, the CCP, abortion worshipers, would be despots, constitution haters, pedophiles, illegal immigrants, vote fraudsters, Islamists, activist judges, Marxists of every fashion, America haters, universities, people with mental health issues, street gangs and the unbiased media… are all taking it on the chin. The punches delivered by Trump and his allies. While it is not widely reported, Trump’s DOJ has been taking down pedophile rings right and left. Epstein was only the tip of the iceberg, Trump has been destroying human trafficking rings across the nation and even reaching into South America and Europe. I imagine that alone has cut the supply of adrenochrome. Plus, Trump demolished the Islamic state, which Obama had spent his entire term building.

The abortion lobby has taken a few hard jabs but are still standing, weakened, but with a hegemony on the legal system by the progressives, it can take much more. Look at the way the people who exposed Planned Parenthood’s illegal activities, were forced to pay Planned Parenthood for besmirching their name, by telling the hoi polloi the illegal acts like selling baby parts, and torturing babies to death to get undamaged organs. The universities are facing an end to the government backed unforgivable debt, that has been foisted on kids just starting out, to enhance the economic fortunes of universities. Trump’s trade deal with China has made them stop stealing US intellectual property and cut tariffs on US goods, which has enraged them. Why, do you suppose, did the CCP create Covid 19 in the first place?

From the outset Trump has had his sights on human traffickers. The wall on the US Mexico border is just such a solution. That is why the democrats have so strongly opposed it. Several of their allies, illegal aliens, human traffickers, as well as fentanyl, cocaine and heroine importers interests, would be maimed by Trump’s border strategy. Trump and his constitutionalist faction seek to stop vote fraud, which again is in direct opposition to the interests of progressive faction’s allies. How can illegal aliens and dead people vote if they have to have picture ids? They can’t, they will be disenfranchised if vote fraud is stopped, cutting off a large portion of democrat votes. Moreover, fair elections would make busing people from one precinct to another, to vote multiple times, impossible.

Trump today is arguably in a much stronger position than he was even a few months ago. Despite the underhanded and illegal means used to get rid of him. This has to make the entire progressive faction terrified. If Trump has done so much harm to their close friends, while under vicious legal, political and media assault, imagine the damage he will do once freed from such fetters! No wonder the progressive faction’s mouthpieces are blindly parroting CCPropaganda. Sheer terror has made them react instead of thinking. The more they fail the more out of control they will get. It is human nature. The fight or flight instinct… it runs deeper than corruption, avarice and even lust for power. People in a panic will often show who they really serve, and the media has shown it serves the CCProgressives.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Constitution Nullified

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, now we have the precedent that our Constitution is set aside for diseases, we can expect more diseases to “ravage” the world in the future. To combat this novel disease, which by all accounts is at most twice as bad as the seasonal flu… governors have been given unlimited arbitrary power. As Lord Acton said, “Power corrupts… absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Those given absolute arbitrary power today, will not easily give it up and will exploit it as best they can, to make the state of affairs permanent. By enacting emergency legislation that elevates vote fraud to a legitimate business perhaps? Our rulers are not idiots, psychopaths, but not stupid… they will recognize the advantage, to them, of a pandemic, and so will be quick to declare an emergency the next time any novel disease shows up.

The arbitrariness of the fiat declarations by some governors is astounding. Closing churches and even putting armed guards to stop people from attending drive in services! Strewing nails in the parking lots of churches, arresting congregants, etc… The measures taken to stop people from worshiping are as draconian as they are arbitrary. Because as Churches are shut down, abortion clinics are grinding up babies to feed to Moloch, as fast as they can. I suppose the governors, who have established Moloch worship as the State religion, feel that feeding their god is essential, while allowing people to attend Mass, even safely ensconced within the environmentally controlled confines of their car… are not. How many Wuhan Flu cases are passed in the sacrosanct abortion clinics?

In some states it is now illegal, by fiat, not constitutionally legislated law, to travel between one’s own home and a second house, say a camp on a lake. To supposedly stop the spread of the Kung Flu. A man was recently arrested for walking around on his own lawn! When confronted by armed police for his intransigence, he begged, he needed some fresh air. Which says openly and loudly that we are no longer protected by our Constitution, by edict of the governor. Even Roman governors of conquered peoples didn’t wield such arbitrary power. Panic has made us the lab rats of our rulers. At every level of examination, this pandemic has put us under unlimited arbitrary rule… for our own good. Then again, when is unlimited arbitrary rule, not for our own good?

It cannot have escaped the notice of the psychopathic power hungry progressive faction, that this “emergency,” has resulted in a centrally planned economy by default? Our sublimely wise and all knowing governors have taken it upon themselves to decide what can and cannot be sold in the marketplace. They are also looking into eliminating cash. (I suppose to “save us” in the event an emergency shuts down the electric grid and destroys all electronic money… or not)? The centrally planned economy has long been a central goal of the progressives since their inception. The American People have steadfastly resisted their attempts to get it through. Woodrow Wilson got some past but his innovations were rolled back as well as FDR’s. This panic however gives progressives new hope.

In no time, this new disease and the panic the media has generated about it, has given progressives everything they have ever dreamed of. They get to centrally plan the economy, they have arbitrary power to shut down churches while keeping abortion clinics open, they can lock anyone and everyone in their own homes under penalty of prison, they are even talking about giving us the Mark to buy and sell… their power has become absolute and arbitrary. The progressives will not easily give up such power. If it is pried from their hands, they will lustfully scan the world for another such emergency, to give them back the power over us that is rightfully theirs. That is why I suspect we will see many more “panics” over new diseases in the future… or at least unbiased media calls for panic.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

A Rock Solid Asset… Political Favor

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the true value of political favor can be seen today, in that the worst corporate executives are given the biggest bailouts, at cost to the workers they are laying off. Great deal, that the poor are paying off the liabilities, as well as subsidizing the educations… of the rich. Yet, political favor pays dividends in spades, so it can be considered an asset. Examples abound of companies that have been poorly run, while the executives got rich, as they produced ever more defective products, that are being sustained by the magic of bailouts. Such zombies will continue to walk the Earth as long as they are fed the elixir of life… free government money. Heavens to Betsy, they must be sustained because if they are not, the employees they laid off might not have a job!

Boeing is just such a company. For years they have driven down the quality of their crucial products, while using leverage, (debt) to buy back shares, thus enhancing the bonuses of the executives. (Since their bonuses are largely dependent on the stock price). In the epic failures and cost overruns of that company’s flagship products, the 737 max, SLS and Starliner, and the subsequent awarding Boeing of more government contracts, shows unambiguously, the deep and lasting value of the asset of political favor. That political favor has allowed them to stay in the running for government contracts despite their horrible track record of actually completing them. Cost plus is a sweet deal, but only available to those with political favor… you know, like Boeing has.

I read the other day that there are hedge funds that returned over 3000 % profits the first quarter of 2020. Others are being bailed out as we speak. Making it clear that their profits are private but their losses are public. I would love to get such a deal! Every time I make a mistake and invest in a company that drops in value, buy precious metal and the price is manipulated lower by the big banks, have the value of my home gutted by a recession or made a bad bet on the ponies, the government would step in and bail me out. That would be too expensive though, my losses might exceed a few thousand dollars, while the hedge funds have been drinking at the bar for the last few months, to the tune of billions of dollars a month printed, to pay the tab. Political favor at work.

https://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/bst_recenttrends.htmApparently the Federal Reserve is printing upwards of 20 billion a month now to keep the system above water, while the US government is passing trillion dollar spending packages, like a drunk throws darts in a pub… with the same accuracy. The pittance we are getting is, as Thrasymachus would say, to keep us silent at the raiding of our bank accounts, the theft of our Constitution and the ravaging of our Rights… to protect the wealth of those with political favor. Put another way, to make us think there is justice… as we are being treated unjustly. Every dollar they print takes a small piece from every dollar you have in your pocket, bank account, your paycheck and in your future. They are all taken from you in the darkness and given to those with political favor. Very progressive indeed!

Now, some will argue that the jobs at Boeing will be lost of they are allowed to fail, the failure of some hedge funds might be systemic and the economy needs that stimulus, else we might loose millions of jobs. All of which are reason to be concerned. The millions of jobs though, that has already happened. As to the hedge funds being a systemic risk, I say that is sufficient reason for their elimination in the first place, not reason to privatize their profits and make their losses public. Companies that are essentially zombies should not be sustained. If they are allowed to fail, the jobs will not be lost, except for the executives that ran it into the ground. The reason they are given bailouts, is to keep the inept, corrupt, psychopathic executives in power… based on political favor.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Miracles

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, on the day we celebrate Jesus Christ rising from the dead, it might be wise to dwell on the miracle itself, and the fact that miracles happen every single day. That the historical Jesus rose from the dead, is argued over, but there is sufficient historical record to show the story is probably true. Non Christian accounts tell of a Jesus, that Pontius Pilate was the governor of Judea at the time, Crucifixion was common practice for revolutionaries, flaying was also in vogue at the time. These are historical facts. There is also Pilate’s letter. Rising from the dead is only the culmination of the miracles Jesus performed. Many of us think that miracles are a thing of the past, but I am hear to tell you, they still happen every day. Just as the angel of death passed over the Jews in ancient Egypt…

Physics is arguably the most sciency of the sciences. The smartest people get into it and they attempt to model every action, event and indeed the universe itself, with mathematics. So far they have been stupendously successful… and a total failure. While Newtonian physics gives us the ability to predict the motion of the planets, the wearing of steel and the motion of fluids. Einsteinian physics that allows us knowledge of the fabric of the universe, the equation that converts matter into energy and gives us a basic understanding of gravity. Meanwhile quantum physics explains the universe at the smallest level of observation. They all fit together… like a square, circle and a star. Physics has been held up for a century with very little real advancement since Plank, Bohr and Einstein.

Despite physics track record of success, it has failed for decades to create anything like a grand unified theory, that fits the disparate parts of physics into anything like a whole. Instead they contradict each other, depending on the level of observation, and no one can account for this. The paradigm is in need of smashing. Even as there are innovators out there who threaten to break the dominant paradigm for something totally new. Thomas Campbell is looking into such things as, how does our intent effect the universe on a quantum level. Now this is research that, if shown to have merit, can enlighten us at the cost to the present paradigm. If physics does prove that our conscious minds and our intent do in fact effect reality, then it will have melded science with religion… adding a cross to the mix.

Because if we can effect reality itself, and we do all the time, then miracles are a daily occurrence. How many times in your life have impossible coincidences happened? Try this experiment, pull over on a lonely road, that a car passes about once every 10 minutes, and make a 5 minute cell phone call. There will be a car that passes you, and will pass at the same time as another, almost guaranteed. How is that possible? Every oncologist has seen miraculous healing of cancer, children have been found in the woods after spending days there with strange stories of their “saviors,” mothers picking cars up off their children after an accident, the stories of miracles are as numerous as stars in the sky. Can we take all these anecdotal stories as proof though… probably not.

To conclude something astounding, takes astounding evidence, else the alternatives have to be more astounding. In the case of miracles, the anecdotal stories are insufficient to prove, but are indicative there is more to it. Physics itself, the most sciency of the sciences, is spooky in it’s lack of advancement in the last century, yet Quantum physics has given us tantalizing hints, that there is something behind the veil. Plus we have the historical evidence of Jesus and his rising from the dead. We don’t have extraordinary evidence, on the other hand, what other possibility is there? That there are waves of mass insanity crossing the planet daily? That Quantum physics is not science? That historical writings are deceptions, lies or fiction? To believe those things, over the evidence for miracles, takes real faith.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Happy Good Friday to Everyone.

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, given the interesting times we live in, it might be wise to read and think about the Nicene Creed…

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.

Who, for us men for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.

And I believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Trading Liberty for Security

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, soon we can judge the wisdom of Ben Franklin’s words, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” Ancient Rome had a means of dealing with emergencies that required Romans give up their liberty for a limited period of time… the dictatorship. For the most part, it worked, saving Rome from the Gauls for example. It didn’t always work though, and the more the dictatorship was used, the more destructive of Roman liberty it became, until it utterly wiped out all Roman freedom, resulting in the post republic period. From that historical example we can glean the insight, that using dictatorship to negotiate an emergency is often more dangerous to the liberty, prosperity and independence of the people, than the emergency itself.

Fear is a powerful motivator of human beings. Put the fear of death into us, or more fittingly, the death of our loved ones, and we become putty in the hands of our masters. They know it… we don’t. How many wars have been fought over fear alone? In ancient Rome, if a plague would sweep through, the Romans would find a Vestal Virgin who “wasn’t chaste,” and kill her, to satisfy the gods. Then, miraculously, a month or two later the plague would go away. Obviously, killing the woman had nothing to do with the plague going away, but it made the people feel better by assuaging some of their fear. That emotion is so powerful because it is generated when we are in mortal danger from a lion, and even when we imagine a lion, both causes can result in panic that overrules our rational minds.

Criminal organizations work through the judicial use of fear. They display their violence so everyone else will see it and fear them. Then wield that fear like an epee to control people. That is why when there is a killing in a ghetto, the old saw is… there are never witnesses. Because everyone is too afraid to speak. So the criminal enterprise can continue unimpeded by the law. This is a way of using fear to get people to willingly give up liberty and become a slave of criminals. How many Zatoichi movies are based on this theme? Almost all of them? Since fear is a tool of organized crime to forward immoral and illegal acts, it is not a stretch to conclude that using fear as a weapon, is probably immoral as well. By the dictates of the golden rule… it certainly is.

Those who capitulate to fear of evil, to stay “protected” from that evil, only allows evil the time and space to become powerful enough to become an existential threat, rather than a nuisance. In the case of organized crime, clearly, exchanging liberty for safety gets one the opposite. It destroys liberty as well as making everyone far less safe. In the case of becoming cannon fodder to participate in a war out of fear… only empowers those who would manipulate you by fear. Becoming a quivering bag of jelly might not be wise though. Despite the magnificent banquet of fear, fed to us by the unbiased media, the cleptocracy and the bureaucracy, which we all know are totally on our side, not at all psychopathic or manipulative, so we can trust them. Regardless of the steady parade of lies they ply us with.

Is it possible that giving up all our liberty, out of fear of a pandemic, will lead to a good place? Maybe if we sacrifice a few more babies to Moloch the Wuhan flu will go away. That certainly is Planned Parenthood’s answer. Which is why they are demanding abortions be considered essential. The WHO has been astoundingly wrong, else have lied through this whole thing, so, they are either incompetent… or liars. The bureaucracy has passed us a few whoppers as well, like masks don’t work, before they ordered us to wear a mask, did they lie then, or now? Our central planners are deciding for us what is essential, and barricading off “non essential” store isles, for our own good. What do you think… can we trust liars, criminals and manipulators to restore liberty once taken?

Sincerely,

John Pepin

The Character Of The Culture Determines The Future Of The Nation

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the reason Third world countries are Third world, is not due to imperialism, poverty, poor geology or climate, they are Third World because corruption is endemic in their societies. Where you cannot trust anyone to do business, business doesn’t get done, and poverty results. The laws are necessarily draconian and arbitrary, and the people might display great humanity inter-personally, but they must follow the Golden Mean of their cultures. These are not causes they are effects. Obviously, where the culture itself fosters corruption, those with the least morality will rise to power. The dross always floats to the top. Moreover, anything they become involved in, they will carry the burdens of their culture, like the UN, which is corrupt from top to bottom and back up again.

Today we are getting a good view of the results of the endemic corruption in the World Health Organization (WHO). That corruption helped make a local outbreak of a disease become a pandemic that has shaved quite a chunk from the world’s GDP. I hear the WHO spends almost a third of their budget on first class airfare and other expenses. Now we find out they are the lackeys of Imperial Marxist China, which is not surprising, but also that schemes to defraud the UN of money are rampant… again, sadly, not surprising. While the WHO is utterly, completely and totally corrupt stem to cudgel, every other international body is just as corrupt. It is almost like giving psychopaths, from places where corruption is a virtue, unlimited power, with zero oversight, might not be the best idea?

The culture of a people is like the mindset of a person. It is a set of underlying programs that run the show when our focus is elsewhere. You don’t actively breathe when you are doing something do you? No… your subconscious does all that stuff for you. It does more than just that. When you drive a car, do you remember every moment of that experience? No, you listened to the radio, talked or your mind wandered. You did it on autopilot. Culture works the same way. The culture of a nation runs the show in the background. The body politic or corpus plebeian, might be focused on a present danger or opportunity, while the culture, society and economy work in the background. Like your subconscious. Moreover, that programming, in both you and the culture, determine your future.

You might have heard the old saw, the rich are rich because they have a rich mindset, and the poor are and always will be poor, because they have a poor mindset… or maybe you haven’t, nevertheless, it is true. That we achieve largely what our subconscious programming tells us is not great insight, it is common sense. That it also effects nations as it does people… is. I don’t think many people recon that way. That while their own subconscious effects their life outcomes, the subconscious of the nation, the culture, society and economy, effect it’s outcome as well. If the culture is of corruption, no one pays taxes, everyone cheats everyone else, the courts are corrupt, etc… the outcome of that nation will be diminished, just as it is for a person programmed to be poor. They are in fact the same thing.

How to solve the problem then of Third World nations always being Third World? To solve the culture problem one must get to first causes. Force the elite to follow their own laws to the letter. Hold those that make the laws to the highest standard, and do it by invasive surveillance. It is possible and inexpensive today to put every chamber and office of government on the internet for any citizen to see and hear. No part of government should be opaque to a citizen, unless it is up to no good, which they usually are. Such measures would force the top to become virtuous. Since, as Confucius said, the people follow their leaders, the people would follow and the culture would be changed. Only that way, can a Third World nation no longer need always be poor, disease ridden, lawless and oppressive.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
