Absurdity and Atrocity are Inextricably Linked

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, there is an old saying that is appropriate today… If they can get you to believe an absurdity, they can get you to commit an atrocity. Indeed if we look at human history, every atrocity and crime against humanity, was presaged by some psychopath getting a large portion of a people to believe in an absurdity. Often, the absurdity we are supposed to believe, is a diversion to keep us from blaming the real culprit of some societal problem. To this end, the Hegelian dialectic is handy. Create a problem, wait for the reaction, then provide a ready made solution. It may be absurd, but if the people are afraid, hungry and cold, they will believe anything… and thus do anything. This is where genocides, famines, wars and societal collapse comes from.

The Nazis convinced the Germans their loss of WWI was because of the Jews, and not the stupidity of their leaders, in starting a war without shoring up the food supply. That absurdity led to the Holocaust. Woodrow Wilson convinced many that the human race needed a pruning, and so instituted the US eugenics program, where people of “inferior genes” were rounded up and forcibly sterilized. Very progressive! In fact, Hitler himself praised American progressives, for their yeoman’s work on the idea of eugenics. Ideas he would gleefully put into practice during the Holocaust. The same eugenics and over population absurdity exists in modern progressives, like Bill gates. Which has led to their openly working to a new, more humane eugenics program, through “immunizations.”

An absurdity that has gained traction can feed back into greater absurdity later, and thus greater atrocities. As the Nazis got their ideas from American progressives like Margaret Sanger, Woodrow Wilson, John Dewy, Earl Warren and that crew, so did Stalin. His slaughter went in a different direction. Lenin and then Stalin, walking in his footsteps, created and disseminated absurdity after absurdity… leading to the classicide of the Kulaks, the Gulags and countless needless and cruel deaths recounted by Solzhenitsyn, which later led to Pol Pot’s infecting people with the absurdity, poverty is caused by the people who produce, so he slaughtered people indiscriminately, until utopia was achieved. Shockingly, he never got there, running out of people first.

Witches were burned at the stake because people believed in absurdity, Vestial Virgins were sacrificed because a disease would go through Rome, the Maya polluted their own water supply with the corpses of their sacrifices, and whole societies have been liquidated because someone believed an absurdity. Every war that has ever happened, was because people believed an absurdity, fed to them out of the rear end of a psychopath. Because psychopaths know how to package their lies into pretty boxes and smear the truths that illustrate the falsehoods. Which means, absurdity comes wrapped as a glittering lie, while the correction to it is usually an ugly truth. People, like crows, are attracted to glittering objects, and so we often reject the ugly truth for the glittering lie.

Today we are bombarded with glittering lies, while the ugly truths are censored, so we often can’t even see them. Just in case some are swayed. We are not only expected to mouth absurdities but to believe in them and donate to them. History, as I have shown, doesn’t suggest a good outcome from such actions. Defund the police for example. Could there be a more absurd stance? Yet the democrat party is 100% on board with it. Now think about it for a moment, is it possible that believing in that absurdity, then acting on that belief… could lead to atrocities? What about universal basic salary paid for by the government? Could there be a path for that to lead to a bad end? We are no different from the Germans, Russians, or Mayans… unless we start looking for the ugly truths and disregarding the glittering lies.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

The Solution

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, if the protesters, elite or rioters actually wanted to solve the problem that led to George Floyd’s death… they would unanimously demand a Numa. For government to be legitimate and Just, it has to be transparent, limited, policed and there has to be consequences for violating the laws and our Constitution. There would even be a system that advocates for the consumers of government. That bureau would be the one someone would file a grievance with in the case of government misconduct. The Numa would then investigate the matter, and if the government agent acted in violation of the Constitution or the law, they would be punished. Such a system would give vent for frustration, protect individual Rights and force government to fit in the Constitution to resume it’s legitimate role.

All government officials must be policed, else why should they follow our Constitution, or even their own laws? If we were treated as the elite are, robbing a bank would have no consequences, if caught, and all you had to do is give back what you haven’t spent… why not rob every bank you come to and live like a king? If you sped down the highway and refused to stop, eventually some violent means would be used to stop you, and there would be a negative outcome for you or I. When the governor of MI violated every citizen’s Constitutional Rights, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, freedom of travel, freedom of the use of your property, etc… nothing was, or will be done about it. Except she will have to give back the Rights she hasn’t already spent.

People that allow their government to be opaque are demanding their own oppression. It is like giving a salesman a signed blank check for a used car you haven’t even seen. Everyone recognizes the foolishness of the second… while falling victim to the first. We have been so inculcated with the notion to trust government, it’s bureaucrats, police, legislators, senators, presidents and assorted bootlicks in the media, that when they say jump… we reflexively leap into the air, unaware we have done it. Moreover, why should people who are above the law and work in darkness not be corrupt? Maybe the “average” person wouldn’t take a pile of money they don’t own, even if they know they would never be caught, but those who seek office are not “average.”

There are some nibbling around the edges of the idea. Dallas has a police oversight committee. Filled no doubt with partisans. Nevertheless, it is a step in the right direction, Vermont, when founded, had a government oversight committee. Filled with good ol’ boys, who promptly decided they could be trusted absolutely, just ask them, and so broke it up as soon as it started. The Freedom of information (FOA) is another false start. It has the right idea, but no teeth nor does it change the default position, that government action is opaque unless adjudicated through FOA. There is not and to my knowledge there has never been an attempt to enact a consumer protection bureau, for the consumers of government goods and services, of any government.

Maybe I’m projecting, but I believe most of us want to be able to live our lives, without too much government intrusion, but keeping other people from making our lives a living hell. That balance is a hard one to achieve, but made impossible when the default of government is to become constantly more opaque, powerful and thus corrupt. The only way to reign in bad actors in government, including law enforcement, is transparency, oversight and consequences. To that end, a consumer protection bureau for consumers of government, would be another way government operators can be monitored and policed… by their consumers. From a man abused by cops to a bakery shut down for politics, there should be an effective process for citizens grieved by their government… other than rioting.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Judgmentalism

Dear Friends,

It seems to me… there is no more judgmental ideology than progressivism. While to exist is to judge, when we apply that cutting tool to human beings, someone ends up disemboweled. We judge if a food is good to eat, we judge if a neighborhood would be good for our children to grow up in, and we judge what kind of job we are suited for. We also judge others as to their fitness to be friends, a wife, husband, plumber, etc… These are value judgments that help us make intelligent choices. When we judge others as good or bad people, based on criteria that are irrelevant to that quality, we engage in destructive judgmentalism. The spurious judgment that all Black people dance well, all Asians are good at math, or that all White people are racist haters… are examples of destructive judgmentalism.

The lens through which progressives see the world is judgmental. To categorize human beings into groups is itself a form of judgmentalism, but it takes it to the extreme, to have the blind arrogance to judge who is an oppressor and who is oppressed. Especially when the criteria are not fixed but mercurial and arbitrary. Isn’t such thinking the epitome of being judgmental? Judging a human being’s intrinsic worth based on an arbitrary and sliding scale? Moreover, that judgment is based as much on the acquisition of power than on any individual quality of the person judged. How can any rational person argue, honestly, that someone who sits in judgment of humanity and without knowing a thing about the individuals, our merits, virtues and vices, categorize us into oppressed and oppressor.

The way progressives act is judgmentally. They use those judgments about the worth of a human being to enact change. Progressives see the role of government to protect the oppressed and harm the oppressor. Requiring judgmentalism. Progressives are only too willing to point out who should be oppressed, and who should be above the law… in the name of justice. After all, they have a totalizing philosophy that tells them, in no uncertain terms, who is the oppressed and who is the oppressor. The oppressors are Europeans and those of European descent, (except progressives) and the oppressed are everyone else. While that definition appears on the surface to be cut and dried, it is far from it. The definition of oppressed and oppressor have changed along with the political winds and will again.

Progressives internal dialogue is judgmental. How else can a progressive call you a racist hater without knowing a thing about you? They have judged us before they interact with us, which saves a ton of time… figuring out who is a good person and who isn’t. That hard work is done for the progressive by his or her totalizing ideology. All they have to do is apply the definition of the day. A few weeks ago, anyone who protested was evil, now that arbitrary sliding definition has changed to, protesters and even rioters are the most patriotic element of our republic. How easy is that? Just listen to your rulers and apply whatever they say to your fellow human beings. Who cares about the humanity of the individual, it is far easier to group us and judge us, depending on what progressive leaders say.

All this yet progressives condemn others as judgmental. They can do that, with a straight face, because language to them is a tool to acquire power. Post modernism posits that all human endeavor is a means to power. To that end, all language becomes merely an expediency, a way to manipulate us. Whatever they do is just, however, since the ends justify the means, and once they have total power, they can get to the real business of punishing the oppressors in the name of the oppressed. Of course, by definition, that makes the formerly oppressed, the new oppressors and the former oppressors, the new oppressed, but progressives can change the definition later to punish the new oppressors. Then again, I would argue to eliminate oppression altogether… but I am judged a racist hater so you shouldn’t listen to me.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

We Have A Say

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, we are at a crossroads in human history, and we all have a say in how this story of ours turns out. There is bedlam in the streets, the forces of chaos appear ascendant and darkness has descended on humanity. Disease, riots, unconstitutional edicts, hoaxes, conspiracies, people showing supplication for the color of their skin, and most folks willingly wearing the symbol of anonymity… a mask. A human being has a face, an automaton does not, a rock has character, a brick does not, a numbered worker doesn’t need a personality, nor does a slave. Rhetoric by a zealot you might be thinking. Yet, there is a gnawing feeling at the pit of your stomach, telling you there is something to it. Listen to your gut, think with your brain and act with intent… and everything will be okay.

This has been an extraordinary year so far and we are not half way through it yet. The CCPandemic is a once in a century event, riots like these happen once in a generation, and we are yet to see what the progressive faction pulls out next. One thing I know, is that the riots cannot be sustained forever. The American people will become irate and will demand something be done. Once they are tamped down, as they should have been at the outset, the progressive faction will need another distraction. I shudder to think what they have up their sleeve next. There is a Obama holdover in the Administrative state openly calling for insurrection among the military. It isn’t beyond the realm of possibility some rogue Obama appointed general could try something third world.

Vote fraud will characterize the election this year. Even with diligent efforts the democrats will start with a few million fraudulent votes. That number could grow exponentially though if mail in voting becomes the norm this year. Each fraudulent vote canceling a legitimate vote, thus undermining both the legitimacy, and the integrity of the election. That will give the fraudsters an avenue to claim the election was illegitimate, if they lose, (even though they were the ones to delegitimize it). All of which creates a huge hurdle for the republicans to clear just to get a single vote counted in their favor. If there are two million fraudulent votes, for example, the first two million republican votes will not count against any legitimate democrat votes. As such the fraud diminishes the value of all our votes.

The open complicity of the media that calls itself unbiased, with the progressive faction in abetting and funding the riots, shows there is not a bridge they will not cross then turn around and burn behind themselves. Such devotion to the cause. Even as the places they own, shop at and work, are looted and burned, they cling to the ideology like a devout communist in a Gulag. Indeed that is the path they are on and would put all of us on. The more the absurdities they believe the greater the atrocities they will be capable of. Even a cursory glance at the news shows the belief and promotion of absurdity is the norm. I wonder though… is the average Joe and Mary on the street, as willing to burn the whole thing down, to build a socialist utopia? With so many feeding Moloch, with their own blood, I wonder.

This year has been a year for the history books. Not only in the ferocity of the historical emergencies, magnified by the progressive faction, but in the impact this year will have on the future. Should the democrats win big, this will be the last real choice we have. Vote fraud will be written into law nullifying the democratic element of our republic, along with the rest of the Constitution as written. The progressives will put their plans, laid out in the Georgia Guide Stones, UN Agenda 21, etc… into action. Should the republicans win, things will return to relative normalcy, the economy will grow again, freedoms will be restored and the apparatus of government will be returned to it’s right role, instead of being an arm of a political faction. Until progressives become ascendant again.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

What The Riots Really Are

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the complete breakdown of progressives into violent, deranged lunatics, is a sign of panic. The most dangerous animal is a cornered one and the progressives have cornered themselves. They managed to keep President Trump bottled up and impotent, with the Russian collusion hoax for three years, with the absurd impeachment for almost another year, then the Kung Flu and now open riots on our streets. All of which show a deep terror of the man by the CCP, the progressive faction and indeed, despots the world over. This is an election year and they realize their candidate is fatally flawed, a rapist with dementia, along with their message of poverty, hopelessness and oppression, are not a winning combination. So we have a complete breakdown of the progressive faction into animals.

The progressive faction appears to be blind deaf and stupid to the message they are sending to the American people. That message is, “Put us back into power or we will burn this nation to the ground!” While it has emotional impact, and puts a very real threat into play, the underlying theme is not flattering. Someone willing to burn it to the ground, if they can’t have it, probably shouldn’t have it to begin with. Take Solomon’s example of the two mothers who claimed a baby. He said, “Cut it in half and give half to each.” The mother who said, “NO! I’ll give up my half so the baby can live!” Was the one Solomon awarded the child to. Since she cared for the child more than winning. If we accept this wisdom, then the progressive faction, by it’s actions, is proving it’s unworthiness to run the nation.

Of course, alienating the American people isn’t a smart move in an election year. Even with a monopoly on the message and messengers. This is especially true now that there is not a monopoly on the message and the messengers. Oh, the progressive faction is fighting underhandedly, with vitriol and spite to regain that monopoly control, but they are failing. Their apparatchiks at Twitter, Google, Facebook, Youtube, unbiased media and the rest, hold phenomenal power over the flow of information, but their government granted monopolies are not perfect. Willing to destroy their reputation, in a business model where reputation is king, they have proven their allegiance to the progressive faction and it’s goals of total 1984 style government, holding out the possibility of a Brave New World later.

Which brings us to another salient point, that to progressives, the ends justify the means. Remember, the progressive message today is… they will right the historic wrongs, by oppressing the oppressors. This is the core philosophy of post modernism. They will find victims, and oppress their oppressors, in the name of the victims. Violence is often seen as a bad thing, and it is, if it is done to progressives, but done to another, to right a historic wrong… it is virtuous, Even when the person victimized had nothing to do with the historic wrong… because all that matters is the emotional cathartic effect of punishing someone, it matters not who. So if the progressive faction’s active arms, BLM and ANTIFA, burn down a few buildings, kill a few folks and steal some stuff, it is perfectly acceptable, it is social justice.

What manner of justice though? Is it justice as Thrasymachus described it, as a means to power, or Socrates idea of Justice, as a means to order society? One thing the progressive’s view of justice is not, is equal treatment, fairness and living the Golden Rule. It is something less. People who would burn it down, rather than allow it to be run by another, do not love their nation, they love power, they don’t harbor love in their hearts, it rots with envy and avarice instead. In November we’ll find out if the American people like the riots, looting, hoaxes and diseases, or would like a return to normalcy. Any political faction who’s power is based on poor, angry and hopeless people, need there to be more poor, angry and hopeless people. To that end, riots, hoaxes, panic and diseases are just the ticket!

Sincerely,

John Pepin

On this Weekend’s Peaceful Riots

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, once again we are being treated to leftist violence, while the progressive faction warns us of “violent” conservatives. From the riots around the nation… to the regular practice since 2016, of shooting into republican headquarters, violence from the left has not only been ratcheting up, it has increased in deadliness. Sooner or later some volunteer at a random republican headquarters will be shot and perhaps killed. I wonder, at that point will it become fashionable to point out the ugly truth, that the left is violent? The history of the left is one of unimaginable violence, covered up and swept under the rug, to perpetuate the hoax that the left is peaceful. Because all leftists know, perception is reality, and they control perceptions, through their monopoly on the media.

Remember the Tea Party protests? The media that calls itself unbiased created the narrative they were racist, violent, anti American riots that have no place in America. The video of the Tea Party “riots” showed middle aged people, on lawn chairs with an American flag taped to it, sipping a cold soda pop. When those rallies were over, the park service commented how clean the Tea Party had left the venue. Compared to the “patriotic” Wall Street protests “speaking truth to power.” The Wall street occupation was characterized by rapes, outdoor defecation, graffiti, vandalism and other filth. By this we see the media that calls itself unbiased has some difficulty with the truth. While that was an epic lie, one they have been well and truly caught in, stochastic terrorism is far worse.

Remember when the media that calls itself unbiased, singled out a teenage boy as a racist hater, deserving of having his face punched in? Yea, that was great. Then spent the better part of their coverage ginning up hatred and anger at that child. Of course, he had it coming, for wearing a MAGA hat and attending a Right to Life march. Even though the media knew, at the time, the teen was standing between two leftists organizations about to go postal on each other. How ironic is it, that the leftist organizations, counter protesting the always peaceful Right To Life march, were threatening to attack… and the teenager with the MAGA hat was protecting them from each other? For protecting those leftists from becoming violent, the media singled him out for stochastic terrorism.

Remember the Baltimore riots a few years ago? The chant then was, “Hands up don’t shoot.” The protesters were given room to vent back then and it led to the obliteration of Baltimore. Since then Baltimore has become a hell hole of murder, drugs and out of control crime. Normal people are abandoning it to the hoodlums. Well done Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. Ordering the police to stand down, a common order by progressives as it turns out, has had ramifications to today. The other day the new mayor of Baltimore pleaded with the people to, “stop shooting each other.” You would think that was a chilling example that others might not want to emulate, but alas, today’s progressive mayor of Minneapolis saw that example and thought, “I want that for my city!”

Creating violence, allowing violence and exploiting the fear caused by the violence to leverage more power, that is one of the pages out of the progressive playbook. If we had a Reichstag, progressives would burn it to the ground, and claim it was White racists. Every progressive organization that is on the street is violent to the core. ANTIFA, the anti fascist organization, that promotes fascism, cannot have a meeting without burning a car or two. BLM is sponsoring the present riots with the financial backing of George Soros. Not to mention the historic Weather Underground. Barak Obama is close friends with the founder, Bill Ayers, a domestic terrorist. Finding common purpose with the violent and lunatic fringe is leftism. It always has been and it always will be. We are seeing it again now.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Why Progressivism Fails at Being Machiavellian

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the complete collapse and actual debunking of the Russia collusion hoax, again proves Machiavelli’s maxim, that a prince should never rely on evil, because it always fails. Machiavelli used the example of an evil prince who was subdued by an unarmed Pope. That while the evil prince could do evil to his people, taking it the next step, and killing the Pope and his Archbishops was going too far… and so Machiavelli concluded, that evil may work well for awhile, it eventually becomes impossible to continue, and so leads to the downfall of the prince. This should be a warning to the progressive faction, but they are power mad. Blind to anything that stands in the way of absolute power over the human race, to experiment on, play eugenics, oppress and population control us.

The modern evidence suggesting Machiavelli was correct, is that the progressive faction was willing to exploit their authority to spy on political enemies, silence us, lie, commit vote fraud, weaponize law, and collude with foreign powers to frame Trump for colluding with foreign powers… when push came to shove, they wouldn’t go the last step and lie under oath to back up their Russia Collusion hoax. In closed door sessions, in testimony the progressives thought would never see the light of day, they told the truth, and that was their ruination. Had they lied then, unanimously and without care to their own potential prosecution, they would have prevailed, Trump would be in prison and their power would be total and permanent. Just like that Prince would have “won,” had he slaughtered the Catholic church.

Evil is the easy path… at first. It gets increasingly difficult to follow as one goes further down it though. Each step making the traveler more of a demon and removing more of their soul. Like the German policemen who were sent to Poland during WWII. At first they tried to be humane, but they were given increasingly evil orders, while being told they could go home at any time. Their commitment to each other made doing evil acts heroic. Because only a bastard would leave his friends to do the dirty work. Each step down that “heroic path” made the men, who originally were good people, into monsters their own mothers wouldn’t recognize. Committing acts so evil they don’t deserve to be recorded. Had they all refused however the atrocities couldn’t have happened.

The Nazi party they served, rose to power by evil, and collapsed by evil. They were the German version of the American progressive party. Nazi Germany is what the US would have become had the progressives seized total power here. Hitler praised American progressives for eugenics and their ruthless implementation of it. In the end though, when Army Group Center was in dire need of supplies… instead of sending it to them, Hitler sent the trains to Hungary to bring Jews to the death camps. Insuring the “Collapse of Army Group Center.” The German policeman illustrating each step becomes ever more evil, and the collapse of Army Group Center, that evil must always eventually destroy itself… because even if it can be taken far enough, evil then becomes an end in and of itself.

So again we have history, this time modern, showing us the wisdom of Machiavelli’s idea, that no prince can use evil as the means to power, no one can bring it off. Despots since the first cave man have tried it, and each of them has met a bad end. Hitler most famously tried it as did Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and today’s American Progressives. Their post modernist progressive movement mirrors the ideas of the Nazi philosopher Martin Heidegger. Who’s philosophies are supremacist at the core, “rational,” atheistic and hold that the end justifies the means. Another thing they have in common, is that they are willing to use evil as a shortcut to power… but as the Nazis and Machiavelli’s ill fated prince discovered, and progressives are today… that short cut ends in quick sand.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

How To Describe the Indescribable

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, some concepts are so complex they defy definition, and can only be explained in the narrative format. Justice for example. Plato’s Republic is just such a narrative treatment of the idea of “Justice.” In it, Socrates asked everyone he runs onto, “What is justice?” their answers are as different as they are. Each touching a facet of justice but missing the mark. Justice however is like an eight dimensional cube projected on a three dimensional landscape. We can easily describe a three dimensional idea, like car, tree, animal or vegetable, and even up and down, but complex ideas like justice, right, wrong, love, hate, the nature of reality… the philosophic concepts, these must be considered as having too many dimensions to fully comprehend rationally.

In mathematics it is possible to describe higher dimensions. These dimensions can be projected down to lower dimensions, just as a three dimensional object, like a cube, can be projected to two dimensions. A three dimensional cube projected on a two dimensional surface can be understood by us, as it is, because our brains think in three dimensions. When more dimensions are projected onto our three dimensional space however, our brains lack the ability to fully understand the geography of the object. How a cube can have more than three dimensions is foreign to us, so we can only understand it through looking at the projection at multiple angles. Walking around it, looking at it from all directions… the way the narrative format works.

We may not be able to describe justice rationally but we know it in our hearts when we see or experience it. Even a dog understands justice in it’s own way. Give one of two dogs a treat, and deny the other arbitrarily… and the dog denied will act out, because of the injustice done to it. We have the same instinctual understanding of justice. Yet an instinctual understanding is not fore brained reason. Instinct is often a thing we catch out of the corner of our eye, but when we turn to look, it is gone. Other notable instinctual understandings, like right versus wrong, are the same way. We feel them but cannot fully comprehend them. The rationalization of the indescribable, even as we ignore our instincts, leads us to all manner of pitfalls and snares.

When a concept such as justice is misunderstood, it must lead to human suffering by injustice, because instead of instinctively putting justice into practice, we rationally mete it out like a portion of meat. With every bit as much concern for it as the piece of meat. When we reduce justice, right, love, etc… to a rational legal description, that rationalization only looks at one dimension of a multi dimensional object, that description must by definition be defective. More insidiously, an intentionally pathological description of an important idea such as Justice, leads to it’s being used to create injustice… that is called justice. Enforced by a monopoly on violence rather than the willing consent of the governed. This is one of the dangers of describing an eight dimensional cube in one dimension.

The other format that lends itself to describing concepts that are both instinctive, and several dimensions above our own… is song. Why then do such ideas defy rational description and lend themselves to narration and song? Because they have an emotional part. They are indescribable rationally, because of the emotional facet, that reaches into higher dimensions. That is why dogs understand justice while psychopaths don’t. Movements that have rationalized justice, and apply it ruthlessly, are by their very nature a perversion of justice. They epitomize the blind man… describing an elephant by touching the point of it’s tusk. Rather than rationalizing ideas like justice, love, right, etc… thereby misunderstanding them… it’s best to gain a deeper understanding with story and song.

Have a Blessed day,

John Pepin

The Struggle Theory of Human Existence

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, The entirety of human existence, since at least the invention of agriculture, has been the struggle between those who would rule, and those who would live their lives in peace. In this I have simplified it as did Marx, but unlike Marx, I have correctly identified the combatants. Marx claimed the fight was a class struggle, but that theory has been disproved by many social scientists. Alvin Gouldner for one, when he applied the Marxist dialectic to Marxism itself, and found it also wanting. There has been a constant battle, but that combat has been between, as Thrasymachus told us, between Great Men who would rule and Little Men who would live their lives in peace. Indeed I would argue that Thrasymachus the Sophist’s identification was correct more than two thousand years ago.

You can break humanity up into whatever set of groups that meets the needs of your argument. This has been done since people started identifying and classifying things and by extension… people. Nevertheless, there are classifications that lend us real insight, and those that muddy the waters. The same goes with identifiers. Moreover, a theory that is close to true, can appear to be a true representation of reality, when it isn’t even a good instrument. The class struggle theory muddies the water, because if we do a Venn diagram of those who would rule, and those who would live in peace, over one of class identification, over another that shows who is actually in power… at any given time. We see that those, “in power” most overlaps the, “those who would rule” circle.

The Venn diagram above is a good thought experiment. It shows that class has less correlation with holding power, even where only people of a certain class can hold power. While the drive to rule over others is a much better correlation, because those in classes barred from power, will do anything to get it. Logically, those who seek power are drawn to positions of power, while those who seek to live in peace are not. I shouldn’t think that a revelation to anyone. This comports with the theory that the true struggle within humanity, is between those who would rule over us, and those who would live in peace. Let’s examine Roman society in the time of Marius and Sulla. The Patricians ostensibly had the real power, being the only group Consuls were drawn from, but the Plebeians had made great strides.

Marius was a member of the Patrician class. He considered himself a bulwark against further inroads by Plebeians into the Senate with their Tribunes. Sulla was a Tribune who claimed he had enough of the arrogance and hubris of the Patricians, and he demanded he be allowed to run for Consul to rectify it. Both men willing to destroy the Republic to get their way, and they did, bringing Rome to her knees. Slaughtering their way through the ranks of the Roman populace, depending on political favor and position, they reduced the gene pool of Rome to a puddle. One could claim this proves class struggle, but a more detailed look exposes the truth, that the struggle wasn’t between classes, but individuals mad for power, and doing anything for it, regardless of the cost to the nation, society or people.

How do we know the blood spilled by Marius and Sulla wasn’t really about their classes? Because if they cared about their classes… they wouldn’t have defecated in their own well. No one destroys a thing to preserve it, they destroy it because it stands in their way. Constitutions were invented to give those of us who want to live in peace leverage, against those who would rule over us, but those who would rule have a loophole. Constitutions have no teeth. In this, we see that speeding along the highway has greater consequences for a little person, than openly violating a Constitution has, for a “Great Man.” Making Constitutions a limitation in name only. If we want to finally bring the power of both sides of this ancient human conflict into balance… we must add teeth to our Constitutions.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

What Do the Elite Hate?

Dear Friends,

It seems self evident to me, that when someone attacks a thing, they clearly do not like it. People don’t attack that which they like. Who goes around kicking puppies? People who hate puppies, that’s who. Given this not so shocking insight, then all we have to do, to know if someone likes or dislikes a thing, is to watch how they treat it. A person who goes around kicking puppies, we can reliably conclude, doesn’t like puppies. Just as a person who perverts the democratic process, attacks free speech, undermines freedom of religion, vilifies freedom of assembly, exploits the law, spits upon justice and attacks gun ownership, we can reliably conclude they do not like those things, just as we did the person who goes around kicking puppies. Moreover, they are qualitatively the same things.

Those who love democracy don’t try their best to destroy it, undermine the results and pervert the process. That is something one who hates democracy would do. Now, let’s face it, someone who hates democracy, and by extension, the will of the people, will not let this be publicly known, (unless they are stupid). So instead of standing on a soap box, shouting to the world how idiotic and subhuman they think we are, and how we should willingly submit to their superior intellect and wisdom, the more effective means would be to just pervert it… to give the appearance of democracy, when there is only their will. Someone who is conniving and heartless would take the latter path, which conveniently, is the path that requires one to be conniving and heartless.

Those who cherish the natural Right of self protection don’t chip away at it every chance they get. That is more the wheelhouse of someone who would have others shivering afraid and defenseless. Living like rabbits, or if made sufficiently obtuse by “education…” like cows. A cow is fed, well cared for, has access to medical procedures when necessary and hasn’t a care in the world. Well… until it is shipped to the slaughterhouse. Such is the life of a cow… not a human being. Oh, there are some who would happily live the life of a cow, and those who would rule prefer them, to rational human beings. Those who are too intelligent to be cows can be rabbits. Terrified, defenseless and hopeless, hiding from the predators that the elite have loosed upon us. Why make us defenseless like cows or rabbits?

There are two theories of justice. One of Thrasymachus, Caesar, Tamerlane, Mohamed, Hitler, Lenin, etc… and the other by Jesus Christ, Confucius, Socrates, Aristotle, Buddha, and Zoroaster. The theory of justice as envisioned by the first group is as a means to power over the little people. Thrasymachus said it best. Justice is a trick the great men played upon the little men. To keep the little people in line so that we can be more effectively taken advantage of by the Great men… and it be called just. While the concept of Justice as understood by Jesus, Confucius, Buddha, Zoroaster, etc… was that all people be treated equally. That we treat others by the Golden Rule. Reciprocate instead of exploit. Those that take the side of Thrasymachus don’t love Justice… they love power.

It becomes clear who and what we are dealing with if we examine our leaders in these terms. Do they cherish democracy by keeping it secure and honest, or do they undermine it with vote fraud, and seek to undermine the legitimacy of it at every turn? Do they love justice and protect it or exploit it to their own ends. Are they hypocrites who care nothing about the suffering of raped women unless it can be turned to their advantage? Do the leaders defend our ability to worship? Are they staunch protectors of our freedom to keep and bare arms or do they attack and undermine it? Do they turn tragedy into opportunities to forward their agenda? Do they solve problems or make them worse? An honest answer to these questions will tell you everything you need to know… who kicks puppies.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
