Acceptance

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, to be civilized, one must have acceptance. A child stomps his little feet at that which cannot be changed, while an adult accepts it, and moves on. If we apply this logic to Critical Race Theory, progressivism and “Woke’ theology, these notions seem to prove the Existentialist idea, that life is so tragic, pathology, not only is the norm, it would be absurd for it not to be… and therefore the world is pathological because we are pathological. A neurotic cannot accept and therefore cannot understand why he is being pathological. So, instead of lessening the suffering in the world, the neurotic captured by Woke theology, increases suffering with misplaced, inauthentic empathy. Their pathology of unacceptance is so complete they cannot even accept a person’s sex.

That there is suffering in the world cannot be denied. We are born of our mother’s suffering, are fragile, get sick and eventually, we die. To someone who dwells neurotically on these things, ignoring and therefor missing the joys, the suffering of life is overwhelming. To someone who experiences a great trauma, the personal wound can be permanently damaging. That such things can make people pathological is no great leap. Our psyche is as fragile as our bodies. The difference between those who thrive and those who wither however, is always and everywhere, the ability to accept. Then move on. Acceptance is the prerequisite to moving on. Moreover, until we move on, we can never get anywhere. Acceptance then, is a choice we can make, that helps with the inevitable suffering of life.

CRT, Woke theology and Progressivism, are about not accepting anything, total cynical nihilistic skepticism. They teach that everything is about power. Law, science, truth, conscientiousness, and even math… all are about maintaining the dominant power hierarchy. They don’t teach this is wrong, only that the wrong people are at the top, of their thought experiment. It should be them who wield unlimited power. To that end they accept nothing. It all has to go. There is no limit to their destruction because what they are destroying is the apparatus of illegitimate power. Since even math is a means for the dominant white patriarchy, to maintain its control, math is a valid target of criticism. There can be no truth when one’s worldview is that everything is only a means to power. They accept… nothing.

The more the world slaps someone in the face, who cannot accept, the angrier they must get. Atheism is common sense to some, because people who accept nothing are too self absorbed, to accept there are deeper truths than we can comprehend, and move on. Such a mindset is in and of itself narcissistic. Using the existential tragedies of life to justify absolute egoism. Perpetually angry at life, the universe and God, an atheist cynically sows suffering as punishment for their unhappiness. They feel a perpetual deep disquiet, because no matter how “authentic” they are told they are, while following the crowd, getting the latest tattoo, piercing or hair color, it is not really authentic, in the Existentialist idea of the word. It is lying to oneself, a pathological action, that leads to more pathological actions.

I personally, am more of the opinion that the neuroticism of the world, is made pathological by, as Thrasymachus called them, The Great Men. Confucius said people follow their leaders, into virtue or vice. My experience of life leads me to think along these lines. Not that the idea that life is so tragic, pathology should be the norm, has no merit, I just think that generalized pathology is of little consequence until it is marshaled by a psychopath. The individual pathology of the average neurotic, only negatively effects their own lives, until they are marshaled into an army of broken people, intent on breaking the world. The fact many of us cannot accept the tragedies, sufferings and unfairness of life, makes us easily manipulated. Manipulated into making life even more unbearable.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
