Dear Friends,
War is an asymmetric profit and loss,
Firms get rich and people pay the cost,
Like Smedley Butler’s adage.
War’s a racket in a package,
That’s why every Rubicon is always crossed.
Bureaucrats and elites just love the dole,
Taxing and spending is their best goal,
So governments get a clue,
What you’re about to do,
Is connect your carotid to a black hole.
Everyone has some kind of disability,
That’s a consequence of their ability,
But it’s not the vulture,
It’s a pernicious culture,
That destroys prosperity and civility.
Hey look where the musclemen go,
Fires are burning its part of the show,
A new iteration,
Third generation,
Who bring chaos tyranny and woe.
Nothing stops the arrogant and the ____,
Taxing and spending until we’re all ____,
A consequence of prosperity,
Deletes our logical _______,
So let in barbarians with glee and aplomb.
Sincerely,
John Pepin
