Rusting the Razor Wire

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, governments have a tendency to keep things that are dangerous away from us. That they are dangerous is the justification for every gun law on the books. Many chemicals are banned from public use due to how dangerous they can be. So I don’t find it at all surprising that many elites want to keep AI from the public. Not all elites… there are factions within the elite as there always are. Some want to capitalize on it, while others want it all for themselves, and every position in between. The CCP wants AI as a weapon of world domination, while Elon Musk wants open-sourced AI for the masses. These are two of the opposing positions. Nevertheless, AI is treated as a weapon. If it weren’t there would be no export controls on it. So at some point there will be a move to restrict it from us.

A weapon need not be a knife or gun… it can be sharp wit. The knife and gun are fallbacks should the wit fail. Wit, then is a weapon of intellect or thought. AI is a tool that leverages thought. So AI could be considered a wit weapon like a sling is a kinetic weapon. Moreover, wit isn’t the only intellectual weapon. The human species traded tooth, muscle, and claw for intellect. That trade has served us well in that we have become the only species that I know of that doesn’t live in ecological perfect competition. Intelligence broke the paradigm. That is why the elite believe AI is a weapon. It is the sling that can throw our ideas much farther and with more force than we ever could by hand. AI could be the sling in the hands of the little guy to be used against the Goliaths of the world.

Weapons of intelligence are very handy in the wild and under conditions of ecological perfect competition but excel in social settings where there are rules much like chess. In a state of nature one need only think a few steps ahead, but in matters of politics thinking many steps ahead while cornering one’s opponent matters. This means that AI can gives an advantage to those who wield it by increasing their ability to think more steps ahead. The flip side of the coin is that those who would manipulate must work all that much harder to keep their games hidden from their marks’ AIs. This logic also applies to corporations and states. Those who would manipulate us then would want AI to help them while keeping it from their would-be marks. People being people, some will exploit AI for crimes.

This brings me to a possible Hegelian manipulation. I’m not saying anyone is plotting this but if it happens remember: it has all the earmarks of a plot… What if there was an incident where some individual used AI to trigger a widespread emotional reaction? The person could be a patsy. The emotional reaction could be ridden by those who would restrict AI from us to regulation restricting our use of AI… keeping it to themselves. Only those with an authorized, State approved use could have access to unrestricted AI. These regulations and laws would of course be sold to us as being in our best interest. Take, for example the laws restricting ownership of weapons for public safety. Let’s face it, people will exploit AI to defraud and such, terrorism is a political crime done for politics.

In a new world order where there is a global government, AI could rust the razor wire. People are largely corralled by perception, not guns and knives. Guns and knives are used to give us the perception of being corralled. A weapon like AI could corrode that perception as fast as it’s established. That’s sufficient reason for globalists to oppose AI. So be on the lookout for a Hegelian game to be played on us. If it is, all opposing viewpoints will be slandered. Then there are those who believe AI is an existential threat to their livelihood. Despite the fact AI will increase demand for their services and lower their workload… (via the price/demand curve), their perception is what’s important. People spend money to get a return: a product, service, or leverage. Watch who spends to keep AI from us.

Sincerely,
John Pepin
