Dear Friends,
Such an aqueduct could never be built now,
Regulation and tort would stop it somehow,
They may so need it,
But extraction’s a hit,
Instead projects become a sacred cash cow.
When the grift machine starts up everything is free,
Money from nothing is the best money you see,
Everyone gets a dab,
On the taxpayer’s tab,
And their cronies have ties back to the bureaucracy.
Taxing and spending is always an emergency,
The government wastes with some urgency,
A stab in the back,
And here’s a fact,
Only a stupid nation poisons its own currency.
Today’s elites abuse us in style,
Calling us dumb by wit and guile,
It gets dark at night,
So don’t get a freight,
Because they consider us infantile.
Regulation and extraction are inextricably ______,
And with administrative ties the red tape is _____,
It puts elites on top,
Extract to the last ____,
That’s why capitals swim in wealth hoodwinked.
Sincerely,
John Pepin
