Limericks

Dear Friends,

Robots have been calling incessantly for awhile,

Yelling Hello and waiting in an automaton’s style,

Don’t drop the connection,

There’s a general selection,

To type “FU” on your push button dial.

Harvard is destitute they want you to know,

The billions in the bank are just for show,

A billion a buff,

That’s not enough,

They want the dish washer to subsidize the CEO.

The dog ate my homework and dust was in my eye,

The devil made me do it, it was that other guy,

I trusted the wrong source,

That put me off course,

I’m a mockingbird journalist and I never ask why.

A man once sold his soul to be President,

Thinking it would make his life relevant,

But it’d be phony,

In name only,

Because he would rule in derangement.

The UK is overrun by aliens in torrents,

The courts hold them in with warrants,

There’s a resolution,

Labour has a solution,

Raise the welfare for undocumented migrants.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
