Dear Friends,
It seems to me, the socialist playbook is followed whenever they seek power. It starts with the youth. They seize control of the education system and inculcate the virtues of socialism and the vices of capitalism and Christianity. The media is the next institution they must march through. That way the truth need never see the light of day. Meanwhile, they create violent sub-factions to create chaos. Then they exploit the chaos their violent protests create to claim the present government is inept and must be replaced. Once they come into power, elections are declared anti democratic and socialism evolves to Marxism. The reason socialists must have a playbook that they follow studiously is because they know they are selling a con. They are swindlers selling mankind a pig in a poke.
The socialist playbook was used to great effect in South America during the Twentieth Century. They have been using this in revolutions across the planet. Venezuela was a huge success until they had ruled for a while. Then, like always, extraction destroys the economy and incentive. The reason I believe virtually all communist revolutions have been led by out of work brainiacs and soldiered by peasants, is because socialism only appeals to the envious and or ignorant. Moreover, a socialist can teach someone who is ignorant reams of half truths and outright lies, which they can’t refute so must accept. Then lay down their lives to usher in the people’s utopia. The simple fact is they have used the same strategy and tactics so many times it amounts to a playbook.
Swindles are based around a plan. There may be slight differences but the foundational idea is the same. That idea is to trade a thing of no value for a thing of great value. A pig in a poke for example. A stray cat sold for the price of a pig is the classic con. Ponzie got to name the pyramid scheme, the Nigerian Prince is priceless, and of course the Spanish Prisoner is older than the Bastille. In every one the game is to get something for nothing. Each scam plays on the patsy’s unmet need or want. The patsy is told he or she is getting a great deal. Like when someone offers to sell you a Rolex watch for fifty bucks, because they need the money. Moreover, cons play on asynchronous information. They know what they are selling is fake, so the game is keeping that information from the mark.
Socialism, communism, and Marxism by this measure are swindles. They play on our greed and envy by telling the poor, you can have his wealth, just back me. They claim if we buy in we’ll get a great return and the sooner we buy in the more return. Of course, those poor rioters are in deep trouble unless you donate money to their cause. Even as that Rolex looks pretty shiny on their wrist. Then, once they have the power, they do the exact opposite of what they promised. The poor don’t get rich. Only the communists get rich, everyone else gets poor. There is no equality, crime becomes rampant, and food scarce. Yet protesting as the socialist had done is met with tear gas, bullets, and night raids on people’s homes. You paid in faith, loyalty, and life yet the product is not what they told you it is.
The fact socialism is a swindle is why socialists prey on the youth, the downtrodden, and the naive. They teach kids how great communism is and how terrible capitalism is. Then they maintain the false narrative by controlling the media. This allows them to keep up their asynchronous information advantage. Most ironically though, the socialists have a system in place to jump on any event they can turn to their favor by violence. Then they claim the reaction to their violence is unacceptable violence. In doing so exploiting the gutter to climb on a high horse. These tactics work very well as long as the people are kept ignorant, and told stupidity is a virtue. This is a weakness as well. All swindles are subject to exposure. An alert mark is all it takes for the whole bunko scheme to come crashing down.
Sincerely,
John Pepin
