Limericks

Dear Friends,

An ungrateful bunch are we,
So thank the Lord all three,
The gifts overwhelm,
Even in Satan’s realm,
And I don’t thank him enough I guarantee.

An atheist once avowed himself wise,
With crossed fingers and blurry eyes,
Depressed and gruff,
He said in a huff,
If there’s a God then I’m quite the prize.

The welfare state is a safety net,
But open migration’s a risky bet,
A magnetic draw,
An existential flaw,
And indigent migrants are what you’ll get.

Promises in elections are expediently wed,
A lack of ethics with cronies in bed,
Let ’em fly,
That’s why,
It’s best to buy a congressman instead.

There once was an ethical _______,
Ideas and promises ____ ____ ____,
But reality _______,
And _____ ______,
So his ethics went ___ ____ ____ _____.

Sincerely,
John Pepin
