Normalizing Factional Violence

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, political violence from progressives and Islamists is not only normalized, it’s acceptable now. Why would I say it’s acceptable? Because the media doesn’t even report it anymore. For example, a preacher in France was just murdered while preaching, by an Islamist. There is precious little news coverage on it. If, however, a Muslim Imam was murdered by a Christian… it would be front page news across the globe and proof all Christians are evil. Meanwhile, Charlie Kirk was shot to death by a leftist for wrongspeak. There’s also the little girl riding a train who was stabbed to death by a crazed lunatic, progressives had set free. There’s an old saying, if a dog bites a man, it’s not news, but if a man bites a dog… it’s news! So clearly, progressive or Islamic violence… is dog bites mailman.

The Summer of Love 2020 was a time of extraordinary violence from progressives in the US. They burned government buildings, beat folks, killed people, destroyed icons of Americanism, set police cars ablaze with police in them, they even tore down a statue of Abraham Lincoln. No one was punished in any meaningful way. The lawyers who set a police car on fire… with police inside, escaped consequences. Moreover, many rioters were rewarded with fat paychecks from the courts… because their rights were violated when the police stopped them from burning down a historic church. When a faction is allowed to get away with violence… the elite are normalizing violence from that faction. So, from this example we can see that violence from progressives has been normalized since 2020 at least.

At the same time, non-violent protesters of another faction were sent to prison and put in solitary confinement for years, without bail or fair trial. The double standard couldn’t have been more stark. It took a presidential pardon to stop the abuse of those protesters. In 2016, a rancher, Lavoy Finicum, was in a dust up with the BLM over his land. He and his friends protested by “occupying” a few thousand acres of wilderness. That was big news. Finicum was shot to death for it by the FBI. At about the same time the Occupy Wall Street protests were going on. In it, progressives committed rape, vandalism, and other atrocities… which were not news. The occupation of a remote ranger station by a rancher who was beset upon by the administrative state, however, was big news. So a man died.

The normalization of progressive and Islamist violence is such that violence from them is expected. When Charlie Kirk was shot to death by a progressive, many other progressives openly condemned the victim… for being controversial. Saying that someone who speaks out against the progressives, should expect to be shot to death in public. Yes, there has been some institutional backlash against such actors, but not the outrage there would be, if a conservative didn’t condemn the mentally challenged boy who ran his car into ANTIFA protesters in Georgia that had just beat the tar out of him. The average American, Brit, Frenchman, or German fears their government couldn’t care less about violence perpetrated against us… as a 14 year-old Scottish girl is arrested for defending herself from groomers.

The world is far less safe than it was in 2000. By every measure the elite have made a world that’s dangerous for everyone who isn’t a progressive or Islamist. Today no school is safe from an angry trans shooter. Groomers work with impunity in the UK. In the West we live under the threat we could be shot, stabbed, or get acid thrown in our face at any moment… simply for being white and Christian. Moreover, if we open our mouths like Charlie Kirk did… we will be targeted, as he was, or arrested as Tommy Robinson so often is. When the elite normalize violence, it forces everyone to become violent, or else become irrelevant. Call it out and be outraged at it, because it’s outrageous. Meanwhile, stay alert, maintain situational awareness, and be safe!

God Bless You,

John Pepin
