It seems to me, those who have been caught in lie after lie, probably shouldn’t be believed, while those who have been caught in truth after truth, probably should be believed. Sadly, that’s not human nature. We’re far more likely to believe a glittering lie over an ugly truth any day. Moreover, we have an innate need to believe anyone in authority. I think that’s why the payola press can lie over and over yet is still trusted. Even I have to hold myself back when a news story hits the air. Because even though I know the media is on the USAID take, and have lied in significant ways on a regular basis, yet I still tend to believe when a news anchor claims bringing back jobs will cause a recession, all our problems started in January, and stopping wars will end the world.
In the last few years alone the payola press has obliterated its reputation. Remember when they told us Covid came from a pangolin, and anyone who said otherwise is a racist? They told us, with a straight face, that hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin are dangerous maybe deadly drugs? They said the Biden lap top and diary were Russian disinformation. Then SWAT raided James O’Keeffe’s home over the diary, in the early morning, left him out in his underwear in front of his neighbors… and the NYT called him rubbing it in. Examples abound of the media lying to us in significant ways, constantly, for the last several decades. So much so, that one could reasonably conclude that lying is their default position on any news story. Which means manipulation is their stock and trade.
The media manipulates us by our innate need to trust authority. As jaded as I am, I tend to trust the media, despite knowing they’re worthless lying censors, that manipulate me for the fun of it. I have to check myself when I hear something that sounds vaguely plausible. Because it’s almost certainly a lie in some fashion…. lies of omission, lies of subterfuge, or outright gaslighting. Like when they claimed the summer of love 2020 was safe from Covid, and mostly peaceful… as BLM burned buildings, destroyed iconic statues and terrorized people. Then, in the next breath, the media claimed people walking peacefully between velvet ropes was a violent insurrection. Remember their fear mongering about Covid? Day in day out the media filled us with terror… to manipulate us into getting the clot shot.
The damage to citizens and the US itself, from the media’s lies is incalculable. The suffering of one single mother at the loss of her beloved son in war, exceeds the human mind’s ability to comprehend. Multiply that by thousands and the human suffering of war makes it unthinkable. For anyone with a smidgen of compassion and empathy. How many wars do the psychopath press start? Remember the Maine, and WMD in Iraq? How many have lost their livelihoods because the media’s lies destroyed an industry? Unsafe at any speed was pure propaganda, shown when NBC put explosives in the trunk of a Corvair to “prove” it was dangerous. The nuclear industry was decimated by biased reporting. Then there’s the climate change hoax, that offers unlimited power to the corrupt.
The press has made itself the enemy of the truth… consciously, intentionally and malevolently, because they were purchasable. The globalist progressive deep state bought them and own them lock stock and barrel. As illustrated by the USAID scandal the media has forgot all about. Which is another issue with the press today, their propensity to memory hole inconvenient truths… like their history of lies. Of all the media liars, the NYT, the paper of record, is the worst. Even arguing in court their news section is in fact, opinion. Which is why reasonable people today turn the main stream media off altogether. Because the press is the Mouth of Sauron, manipulating us to our detriment. The media’s become the enemy of truth, and smart people side with truth… it’s merely self interest.
