Dear Friends,
It seems to me, with a Supreme Court as corrupt as the US is, you don’t need enemies. It’s hard to fathom the end game for Roberts and SCOTUS in this open and notorious violation of Constitutional Separation of Powers? It’s unlikely that SCOTUS will exist as a functional body in short order, should this abuse of power continue. Because if they win and nullify our Constitution, their authority will be nullified as well. SCOTUS and the progressives have replaced our Constitutional three Branches with an unelected administrative state. The bureaucracy. By dribs and drabs SCOTUS has installed an ersatz government over and above our Constitutional one. Now that an elected Executive threatens it, they have to step in to protect their Frankenstein monster. Besmirching SCOTUS’ reputation in the effort.
In Federalist Papers # 10, Madison, Faction; Madison warned that if any two branches of government get monopolized by a single faction, tyranny will be the result. The Roberts led SCOTUS has proven it’s captured by the progressive faction. With all but three judges captured by that ideology. Blinding them to criticism, precedent and logic. The Judiciary is now useless at its job. Like a car engine with all its spark plugs broken, the carburetor full of dirt and the only thing operating is the crank. Roberts and all the other progressive judges think they’ve outsmarted the plain wording of our Constitution, believe they’ve won. The unlimited administrative state they so adore is nearly at hand. All they need do now is capture the Executive and Legislative branches by legalizing voting by illegal aliens.
In Federalist Papers # 51 Madison, Separation of Powers; In it Madison warned against concentrated power. Today SCOTUS has concentrated power in its hands, out of ambition, hubris and breach of trust. Installing itself and an administrative state above the Constitutional government. Judges today must be angels, given their unlimited power to overrule the Executive in his Constitutionally delegated authority. There are no rival motives in the Judiciary anymore. Being united in their usurpation. So SCOTUS rides roughshod over the other Branches. Making the erstwhile weakest Branch the strongest. By exploiting our civility. Though our patience is ending. Why respect a SCOTUS that doesn’t respect our Constitution? The document that gives it authority. Roberts is ruining the reputation of SCOTUS.
In the past SCOTUS has made some pretty horrible decisions. Rulings that violated human rights, our constitution and their own stated ethics. Decisions like, Korematsu, Wickard v Filburn, and Buck v Bell, were legal atrocities. But far from remedying those blatant breaches of trust, SCOTUS under Roberts has doubled down. Allowing rogue judges their heads as they stampede over our Constitution. There are maybe two judges on SCOTUS today who feel any responsibility to follow Constitutional law. The rest of the Judges are zealous partisans who agree on one thing only, that our Constitution is an outdated document. They prefer the South African constitution to the one the US Founding Fathers created. So said Justice Ginsburg as well as a multitude of other judges.
Possibly, Roberts thinks he can rein in the administrative state he has empowered, after the threat of Trump has been neutralized. Which, you have to admit, is conniving at its most malevolent. Abusing his position to hinder the elected Executive from doing the will of the American people. As illustrated in Trump’s landslide election. Roberts and his fellow partisans are standing fast against moving power from the administrative state back to the people and the elected Branches. In doing so he is besmirching the reputation of not only SCOTUS but the idea of an independent Judicial Branch. Because if one can become this corrupt, why have one at all? Maybe it’s simply the logical outcome of an unlimited Branch of government? Nevertheless, James Madison would have a lot to say about Roberts’ SCOTUS.
Sincerely,
John Pepin
