Limericks

Dear Friends,

The populists have got their goat,

But one thing we’ve got to note,

Until the polls come in,

Anyone could win,

Wherever it’s the leftists that count the vote.

There once was a candidate Walz,

Though the man had many faults,

His heart was pure,

He said with a slur,

And he gas lighted in many assaults.

There once was a government that lied all the time,

Thinking that lying by the powerful was totally fine,

A little bitty lie,

A few people died,

But the big gag is passing out grift, bribes and wine.

Only one opinion is allowed,

The one the omniscient avowed,

The arrogant do know,

The rest of us are slow,

And our opinion is considered lowbrowed.

In a bit the democrats will turn on a dime,

Saying they’ve denied elections all the time,

Insurrection will be fit,

When democrats do it,

But it’ll still be illegal to put our opinions on a sign.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
