Limericks

Dear Friends,

Canada once had a great culture and people,

Friendly, mannered and everyone was equal,

The open minded curse,

Progressives got the purse,

And now Canada has become a flock of sheeple.

There once was a man from Ottawa,

Mark Carney was his name and draw,

A gaslighter extraordinaire,

With verve style and flair,

And would burn his nation down just to become the law.

Any circus in need of a good Barney,

Will hire one shady and smarmy,

If he’s a drunk or a zero,

You don’t hire a hero,

What you do is hire a Carney.

Oversimplification is a curse of the obtuse,

Glittering mistaken ideas so often seduce,

They’re busy grinding their axes,

With regulations tariffs and taxes,

And so the wrong conclusion they often deduce.

The worse things get the more clingy people become,

It doesn’t matter who where or when they are from,

We grab to the known,

As history has shown,

Resulting in national collapse ruin and expressions grum.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
