Limericks

Dear Friends,

There once was a senator Mitch,

He put his reputation in a ditch,

Bleary eyed he said,

I’m smarter than Fred,

And with a dumb look he did glitch.

There once was a government Hegelian,

Creating problems like a vile chameleon,

Then milk the issue,

Crying in tissue,

And building an oligarchy truly Stygian.

There once was a mockingbird media,

As smart as a walking encyclopedia,

Fully awake,

On the take,

And their journalism was gas lit and sepia.

The elite do follow Thrasymachus,

Using law against the rest of us,

The morally course,

Upon a high horse,

While calling their self serving just.

Spending other people’s money,

Is like eating candy and honey,

So spend away,

Every single day,

And rot your teeth as if it’s funny.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
