Limericks

Dear Friends,

There’s more to this story than meets the eye,

Valedictorians don’t just shoot a random guy,

Not for a general hate,

What was really at stake,

But since there’s a cover up it’s rude to ask why.

They tell us to shut up and sit,

Our ideas and words just don’t fit,

But here’s the rub mate,

They would never tolerate,

Proving every censor is a hypocrite.

The roof can’t support the floor it’s agreed,

Yet there are many stomachs to fill and feed,

Imagine that,

Cutting the fat,

But the taxers and spenders can’t allow it to succeed.

There’s now a faction mate,

That sprung up as of late,

Twisting words with delight,

Evil’s now good what a sight,

Becoming the acme of a faction of hate.

Government is looking the clown,

The fear is making people frown,

Drones are getting out of hand,

So if one flies over my land,

I’m going to shoot the darned thing down.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
