Limericks

Dear Friends,

A book filled with conjecture and envy,
Loved by the elite lacking empathy,
A idealist trope,
Was the guy on dope,
Arguing for class hate based on jealousy.

Evil begets evil or so they say,
Hatred escalating day by day,
What pomposity,
Another atrocity,
And both must stop for the evil to go away.

There once was a king Martel,
He really gave the Islamists hell,
Attacking their loot,
He gave them the boot,
And fathered Pepin the Short as well.

There once was a narcissistic lot,
Spreading hate by twit and bot,
Enforcing right-think,
By ostracism’s stink,
While sleeping on Satan’s cot.

Wrongthink in the UK will cause a fight,
Selective enforcement is elitist might,
In jail for opinions free,
The other’s on the BBC,
As the double standard proves Thrasymachus was right.

Sincerely,
John Pepin
