The Appeal Of Central Planning

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the draw of Marxism to a psychopath is that it’s a means to do the worst things for the best of intentions, to an empath it feels like true equality, to an intellectual central planning is ego empowering, and to a despot it’s a path to absolute tyranny. So it pulls such people in like a magnet draws iron filings. To them it becomes a religion. Marxism and it’s associated ideologies, progressivism, fascism, and socialism, are totalizing. They have at their core an idea that the world, the nation, or the State is best run if centrally planned. This gives a permission slip to the psychopath for violence, feeds the academic’s ego, feels righteous to the empath, and is cocaine to the would be despot. This is why central planning is so attractive to so many people.

In their religion of the centrally planned state they demand heretics be burned at the stake. Because to a true zealot there is no atrocity that’s not justified by their ideology. They consider themselves the smartest, wisest, and dog gone it… the best most moral people too. Anyone not in the club then are sub-humans to be destroyed, or else they could pollute other people’s minds with their disinformation. So violence is inevitably called for. Once censorship has failed to keep the hoi polloi in line. Just as a pastor is careful to control what bibles come into their church, central planners keep close watch on the words and thoughts of the people they would tyrannize. Religions are totalizing, they demand our attention, our devotion, and control our actions.

In any totalizing philosophy contradiction must exist alongside ostracism for noticing it. This serves two purposes, one is to cut out non zealots, the other is to maintain unanimity of thought. The more the ideology is purified through ostracism the more zealous will be those who are left. In such systems of societal arrangement, who needs pacifists anyway? The revolution calls for fighters. Moreover, devotion to the centrally planned ideology, regardless of the flavor of the month, is paramount. So the psychopaths, zealots, and would be despots who are drawn inexorably to central planned systems, cam maintain their cohesiveness. Knowing that a small dedicated minority willing to do whatever it takes can take over whole nations. Because it’s been done before.

The fact central planning has never worked to improve the lot of anyone, but the despotic class, it has worked very well as an aid to a despotic class getting power. Simply because empaths are converted to zealots and psychopaths become soldiers in a cause. During the Troubles in Northern Ireland, those involved with the IRA were the same cut of man who robs banks… you know, like Stalin. At least I was told that by an Irishman, who lived through the times. Violent factions are attractive to violent people, and there’s no faction more violent than those dedicated to imposing central planning on the world. The sad thing is, those empaths turned zealots will be crushed underfoot the moment they win. Useful idiots are only useful until power is gained… then they become dangerous.

Those who love central planning are the same people no matter if they call themselves communist, socialist, or fascist. Central planning is their core belief and everything else hangs off that. It’s a religion to them. A religion that mutates empathic people into monstrous zealots, capable of anything… by focusing their empathy on the absurd. Led by would be despots cheering for revolution, as they keep a knife to the backs of their erstwhile allies. People willing to do violence to force their views on others don’t balk at a few lies. So while the leaders know, there’s no utopia at the end of the river of blood, there is power for them. Until they feel a knife penetrate their kidney. Because central planning appeals to the worst kind of people, and makes the worst kind of people out of some of the best.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
