The US, the Modern Surveillance State…

Monday, January 11th, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the surveillance that the US now does, would make the Stazi blush and the Gestapo swoon. Revelations by Edward Snowden about the NSA spying programs on American citizens, was as shocking as it was unconstitutional, and the reaction of the elite to those revelations is telling. There is a camera on almost every street corner recording us in case we might inadvertently break some law. Cameras record our vehicles as we go through intersections, automatically ticketing us if we run a red light, all without the need of a human being at all. Roe v Wade was won on doctor client privilege, yet the other day Obama unilaterally and by edict, ordered doctors to spy on their clients. Our emails are scanned by a computer program that checks to see if we use certain words, if those words are found then the email is pulled and read by government officials. Cab drivers are told to spy on children, teachers are told to spy on parents, and children themselves are told to spy on their parents! The list of incursions into our lives would fill volumes, and it all goes by without a whimper, yet even the most ordinary oversight of the elite, is met with screams of privilege and scourging that we should trust them more. The dichotomy shows just where we have fallen… a police state in all but name.

Crime, immorality and corruption flows from the elite to the people. This was one of Confucius’ main tenets. If the leaders are corrupt the people will be corrupt and if the leaders are virtuous the people will be virtuous. Our leaders however, are as corrupt as they can be, even using ignorance of the law as an excuse for breaking the law. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama use that defense all the time and are never called for it. You and I however, we have no such defense, for us, ignorance of the law is no excuse, so if we inadvertently break some arcane regulation, by filling a barrel with water for our garden for example, we are prosecuted to the full extent of the law. So basically, there are two standards, one where if you make the law you can claim ignorance of it, but if you are a citizen then ignorance is no excuse. Where there are two standards, it isn’t a standard, but a regulation.

We know they are corrupt that knowledge permeates the zeitgeist like wax permeates wax paper. The open and obvious corruption can only flow down to the people making the people more corrupt, self serving and vile. A large part of the elite are progressives and thus follow the Frankfurt school, they see chaos, crime, economic collapse and despotic government as good things, since those things lead us to evolve into the superman. Nietzsche’s ideal man, immoral, self serving, violent and stoic. Yet they all want to enjoy the fruits of their corruption, their ill gotten riches and their political power. So, they must counter that corruption that flows from them to us, the police state is that means. It also puts in place the slavish mindset, that we are mere slaves to the state and anything we are allowed to have, be it our fundamental human rights, to the bread we put in our mouths. The surveillance state is the logical outcome of a corrupt elite.

The Geheime Staatspolizei, the Gestapo would have loved to have a machine that read every piece of mail, scanning them for words the state found obnoxious, instead they had to have a office building full of agents, opening and reading mail, a far less efficient way of monitoring the people. The Stazi was famous for enrolling everyone as a spy against everyone else. Teachers spied on students, students spied on their parents, brothers spied on sisters and neighbors spied on neighbors. The US police state has followed that example especially under the Obama administration. Even doctor client privilege, the foundation for making abortion legal, has been upturned by Obama in his quest to rid the law abiding of self defense weapons. The Red Guard couldn’t have gone from house to house seizing all the food, leading to the famine that killed millions of Chinese, if the people had guns… and we know Obama and his administration have great respect and admiration for Mao.

We are being messaged into accepting a police state by the elite. Their importing hundreds of thousands of potential terrorists, outright corruption, fear mongering and misdirection all serve the state’s desire to become despotic. By ignorantly following, refusing to look at alternate news sources and thinking for ourselves, we are being groomed for slavery. The fascist police state is here, intrusive monitoring of the people, unending push for socialism, corrupt unaccountable leaders, unending wars on actions instead of states and the diminishing of the value of human life. We are in 1984 George Orwell in all except they haven’t outlawed love, but they are well on the way to destroying the family unit, and there isn’t a dour looking man with malevolent eyes on every street, watching us as we pass… he is hidden behind a monitor. Until we return to our Constitutional limited government the slide from here on will only get faster and harder to return from.

Lawless Government

Sunday, May 31st, 2015

Dear Friends,

It seems to me that the US government has become utterly lawless. We the people are supposed to follow all rightly constituted laws, passed by the legislative branch and unless overridden by the congress, signed by our President. Our government is supposed to follow, to the letter, our Constitution, the contract between the governed and the governors, strictly enumerating the power we give up to government, to ensure our property is secure, establish standards, and control criminal behavior as well as protecting us from foreign powers. The US government increasingly seeks to control every aspect of human behavior, while at the same time totally ignoring, not only the intent of our Constitution and it’s limits on government, but are now actively urinating on the text. Examples abound, from their abdication of both tenets of the First Amendment, the total destruction of the second amendment, government living by rapine, we are no longer safe in our personal papers, government can seize any of our property at any time, to the crushing of State’s Rights in every way possible. To make the system work, increasing amounts of violence must be used against us, even as we behold our government ignoring the basic rules they are supposed to follow. We stand naked before government while they hide behind a wall of guns, woven together with red tape, aimed at us.

Fail to follow any arcane regulation, law or ordinance and the full weight of the US government will fall on you. Disagree? Try withholding taxes because they go to something you are morally against, like funding abortions, and see if armed men don’t come to your door and arrest you. We are held to the highest standard possible, to the point of being monitored by camera while driving down the street, our emails are scanned and saved on some government computer in Utah, our homes are peered into by the government with infrared and other sensors, our computers can be seized at any time, banks record our cash transactions and send them to the government, our credit card transactions are available to government for any purpose, etc… Every aspect of our lives is open to our government, but our government hides even the most mundane things from us.

The recent internet regulation was hidden, and even now that we are supposed to follow it, most of it’s intricacies are covered in arcane wording and red tape. Despite being called Net Neutrality, it does the exact opposite it was billed as. It creates a market web which players pay to play and the old internet which is free, so I ask you, which will get the funding? The one where companies can make a profit, (and is regulated as to their content and political correctness)… or the one where financial loss is guaranteed but is open to anyone to say anything? I submit to you, Net neutrality was and is designed to wither the open internet on the vine, creating a system where government can increasingly control the flow of information.

The Amendments are ignored and given less and less lip service every day that passes. If you are stopped by a police officer, make the mistake of talking to him or her, and you are carrying cash, they can simply take that cash, your life savings perhaps, and you are out of luck. How is that different from a highwayman? Moreover, it is a direct violation of the Fourth Amendment, but isn’t the only violation of the Fourth Amendment by far. Your church may be forced to provide abortions, pay for blasphemous art, limit what they teach or marry gay couples. You are limited in your speech in a myriad of ways, all the government has to do is label whatever you say as “hate speech,” or you as an “extremist” and you are now a criminal subject to prosecution… which are blatant violations of the First Amendment.

The Second Amendment has been eviscerated. Today States pass whatever law restricting our Right to keep and bare arms they want without a peep from the Judicial branch. The right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed… seems simple enough to understand, but the learned members of the new class have a hard time understanding what infringed means. It is no coincidence that those places where guns are outlawed, have the highest violent crime rates, the highest murder rates, and the most government tyranny as well. Look at Chicago’s murder rate, violent crime rate, and secret prison for example.

The interstate commerce clause has been so perverted government can regulate every and any aspect of your life. That perversion is based on Wickard v Filburn. In that case, (which still stands), the government can force you to plow under crops you are growing for your own consumption! Because you won’t buy that food on the open market and therefore effects the prices of food across state lines. In other words, the government has the power, as yet unused, to regulate you and your family to starve to death! Now, I can hear some innocent Pollyannas saying, “They would never do that!” But only a few decades ago, it was unthinkable that a human being could be executed by dismemberment, simply because he or she has been recategorized as a fetus.

The US Constitution makes no provision whatsoever to allow for the bureaucracy. Yet the bureaucracy has become the largest part of government today, and is totally unconstitutional. It too is based on Wickard v Filburn. The bureaucracy bypasses the Constitutional legislative process, creating unconstitutional regulations that stymie economic growth, erode what Constitutional liberties remain and most perniciously, move us from a limited representative republic to an administered despotism.

Our government has been disconnected from the limits the framers built into our Constitution. The new class elite claim the Constitution is a “living breathing document,” and thereby unshackle themselves from the limits put on them by it’s original intent. The Tenth Amendment says – “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.” In other words, if the Constitution doesn’t say government can do a thing, government is forbidden from doing, and those things the Constitution says government cannot do, it cannot do. Sadly, government does whatever it wants today, there are no limits, they have broken the contract over and over.

Today, those powers that are not bestowed on government, are regularly done, and those powers the Bill of Rights strictly forbids, are commonplace. We stand naked before an all powerful government while they hide behind a wall of guns aimed out at us. We not only have to worry about a robber taking our hard earned money, the government itself has become the thief, government undermines economic standards whenever a politically favored group wants, it encourages an invasion of people who seek to change our way of life, and the list goes on. Government hides everything they do, as they tell us, if we have nothing to hide then we should stand naked before it. Can there be disagreement we don’t live under a poorly concealed despotism? Isn’t it time to reign them back in?

The Future is up to Us…

Monday, April 20th, 2015

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, we are well on our way to world socialism. Socialists, Progressives and Marxists believe there are two possibilities for the evolution of the socialist world state. The first, and the one they openly avow, is the Brave New World, the second, the one they know in their hearts will happen, is 1984. Of course neither scenario is rosy, both involve coercion of individuals for the benefit of the “society.” The new class worship at the alter of Marx, whether they are progressives, socialists or outright Marxists. They cannot imagine a future where people are free, prosperous and peaceful. Such a future is far too boring for them. The new class shows their presumption of a dark future in their dystopian science fiction movies, books and articles. Even as they seek an interesting future, it is up to us to fight that exciting future, and instead replace it with a boring one, for the sake of our children and their children.

The reason progressives, socialists and Marxists pay lip service to the brave new world is the assumed economic prosperity of that system. The brave new world is one where consumption is a sacrament. Society is broken up into several classes, where most are intentionally retarded as babies to ensure they stay in their place. Others, the alphas, run the show but are controlled by use of physical pleasure and the constant threat of exile, keeping them in line. In the brave new world, all thought is reduced to absurdly simple jingles, love is against the law, consumption is a religion, the family is a historic oddity, and instead of being for procreation… sex is merely for recreation.

The new class claims the brave new world is the most likely, because at first glance it appears to be the least scary, while 1984 is so dark even the most ardent Marxist shudders at the thought. In 1984, love is outlawed, thought is controlled, the state is in perpetual war, the family is illegal, people are monitored in their own homes and philosophy is reduced to newspeak. In one version of the the movie 1984, when the hero and heroin are caught in a love affair, a disembodied voice commands them to stand back to back, and as a helicopter approaches, the voice says, “Here comes a candle to light up your bed, here comes a chopper to chop off your head,” as storm troopers break in and arrest them. All reason has been reduced to ridiculous newspeak, where opposites are connected like, war is peace, and freedom is slavery.

Every time socialism has been tried it has followed the 1984 path instead of the brave new world. Even if the brave new world paradigm could happen it is every bit as dark as 1984. They both have a great deal of commonality. We see the seeds of both being planted today. The surveillance state is growing around the world, to the point where you are even monitored in your own home if you have a smart television, the family is under attack by the state, our education system dumbs down our children to the point they only respond to five second jingles, the world is in perpetual war, we are manipulated by our emotions, sex is held up as the ultimate recreation, newspeak is more and more common from our leaders, and the new class are defacto alphas.

As we watch our world descend into a darkness there is something we can do. We can fight the mind control that tells us that only a new class progressive can win an election, vote our principles instead of our pocketbooks, argue against the need for a surveillance state, refuse to fall for the trap of hate even as those who’s hearts are full of hate claim to be inclusive, protect our constitution at all costs and remain true to liberty… which is the penicillin for the brave new world and 1984. Most of all, we must think with our minds and not with our hearts. Our hearts can be manipulated easily by jingles, calls to emotion and five second sound bites, but our minds require information not mere rimes.

Yes, even a cursory glance at the state of the world today, shows that we are well on our way to 1984. The brave new world might be the goal for our new class alphas but the difference is so small it is insignificant. Humanity, in both scenarios is gone, and people are reduced to expendable automatons, that are as thoughtless as they are vile. To achieve the goal of 1984, or the brave new world would be a catastrophe for the human race, and would usher in a new dark age, far darker and more violent than anything you or I could imagine. The test for us, is if the new class has so perverted us, we are now incapable of withstanding the dystopian future they have in mind for the human race, or do we stand up and push back. Our children’s fate is in our hands. Please God, may we not let them down!

Good Intentions, Bad Ones, and Avarice… the Road to Tyranny

Thursday, April 9th, 2015

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, bad ones and avarice. Through a sense of altruism, watchers will want to help those they watch, more than they can now, because to do that they always need more power, when they get that power, they find it is insufficient and so… thereby advancing inevitably to tyranny. Tyranny doesn’t require as a prerequisite, malevolent thought, not at all, tyranny can arise from perfectly altruistic intentions. Each man and woman having different tolerances for despotism will wake up and find themselves in tyranny sooner or later, but all eventually will, once it has got too late.

In our modern surveillance state there are watchers, this is a new fact of life, and if they have a sense of compassion, which is a perfectly human quality, those they watch will become like pets, to be protected, nurtured and fed. Imagine having a beloved pet and you can only splash water at it’s dish? Wouldn’t you want the power to pour water directly into it’s dish? Now that you can pour water directly into it’s dish, shouldn’t you have the power to clean it? Isn’t it cruel to force it to drink from a filthy dish? You could minimize the violence it faces by collaring and leashing it. It would get the benefit of not fighting as much and the wounds that come with fighting.

When the watchers have no one to watch them their other human traits come to the fore. Vice, avarice and opulence creeps into the lives of the watchers, with no immediate direct negative consequences, because they are above being watched. No matter if it is personally immoral, socially immoral or just plain uncivilized behavior, the whole of the nation must suffer when the watchers become corrupt. Like a volcano spewing lava from the top, society vomits corruption from the top, and it oozes from the top down, covering the rest of the mountain in due time. Once corruption has reached the lowest echelons of the bureaucracy, you know every inch is saturated.

Our watchers have no one to watch them, the proof is where there have been attempts to limit the actions, even in extreme cases, the watchers have marshaled their political power, through their unions, the political faction that derives it’s sustenance from those unions, the judicial faction that sees our Constitution as liquid, and the unbiased media… to push back those limits. During the financial crisis of 2008, it was discovered that the very people who were supposed to watch over the banking system, were instead, watching porn. When it came out that they were derelict in their duty, their right to watch porn instead of work, was upheld in the arena of political power and they enjoy their right to watch porn at work today.

Which presents us with a second means a watched society can devolve into tyranny, if the first is through a sense of compassion, the second through corruption, and a third a sense of superiority. Sitting in a dark cubicle watching the comings and goings of other people, all day and all night, either directly or indirectly using meta data, can only lead to a sense of superiority. If I am setting there watching some person make the same mistakes over and over, even if I make those same mistakes myself, gives me a sense of superiority. That is human nature.

A sense of superiority dehumanizes those the superior person oversees. They become less than a human being in his or her eyes, they may be beloved pets, chumps to be fleeced or maybe just an ant farm. If you are overseeing an ant farm, you want your ant farm to be bigger than other people’s, don’t you? That would be the goal of an ant farm. So you would do everything you could to make your ant farm bigger. You might find a better medium for the ants and so transfer them into the better sand. They might outgrow the terrarium so you might move them to a larger terrarium. Maybe, you could add some plants for your ants to crawl around on, because it amuses you to watch them crawl around plants.

There is no possible way a system where there is a caste of people who watch the rest of society, enforcing every law, rule, regulation, either civic, social, or criminal, at every moment of the day, everywhere… that doesn’t lead inevitably to despotism and is itself tyranny. If the watchers were computers, programmed to watch everyone, all the time, no matter where they are, would remove the human element. But that would not be acceptable to the elite, who make those laws, rules and regulations. Such a system would enforce their own rules on the elite, which is unacceptable, so they need a group of humans to stand in the way. But even a cursory look at a computer driven system, shows it is utter tyranny of the highest order, it’s one redeeming feature is that even the elite would chafe under it’s provisions, showing that while not being liberty itself, it would lead to liberty in short order.

While the benefits of being watched over, might seem like a good thing to some people, random violent crime would become regular, plenty of soylent green for everyone, parks to crawl around on, everyone could live in Cabrini Green, a vibrant vice economy would employ many, etc… the inevitable tyranny that would result isn’t as rosy. No matter the nature of our watchers, and the likelihood is that every type will be represented, it will initiate a slide to tyranny that will be hard to stop. A Fourth Branch, or NUMAfourth branch, might mitigate the negative side so we could get some of the positives, but that is for another blog. The takeaway point of this article, is that a system where some watch others is a path to tyranny, no matter if the watchers are virtuous or villainous. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions, bad ones, and gluttony.

The Dystopian Future is the Present.

Thursday, February 19th, 2015

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the surveillance state that is being built, is no more or less than a prison, where everyone is a criminal, except the elite. While the government implements systems that are able to see through the walls of our homes, monitors the speed we are traveling ticketing us if we exceed the speed limit by a single mile an hour, listen in on our phone conversations, record our text messages, use license plate readers and facial recognition to keep track of where we go and when, etc… We have lost our fourth amendment Right… “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” Government has overstepped it’s authority granted by our Constitution in a big way. But why is there so little outcry?

We have been groomed to fear our fellows. Every news story is about how some person was abused by another. The pages of our newspapers are filled with stories of random violence. This or that person was robbed, someone broke into a house and beat the owners, we are treated to videos of the “Knockout Game,” drive by shootings are described in vivid detail… and college rape is the latest bogyman the media shills. All of these stories have one thing in common, the underlying message is that our fellow human beings are vile, violent and vicious. But reality tells a different story, the incidence of random violent crime has been going down for decades! We are actually less likely to be targeted for a robbery today than in the 1970s. Not because of the constant monitoring, no, the trend has been going down long before the surveillance state came along.

We have been trained to trust government. At the same time as we are told what reprobates our neighbors are, we are shown how virtuous our government is. Government only wants us to be safe, well fed, equal, and empowered. The media constantly tells us that unless this or that law or regulation is passed we will starve, be beaten up in our own homes, we might have to work for our money, some big corporation is going to steal from us, etc… it is only through the benevolence of government that we survive! History however teaches a far different story. The greatest atrocities ever inflicted on humanity has always, and will always be, by governments. Sometimes against it’s own people, a hated minority, foreigners who have something government covets… or political dissidents.

In 1755 Benjamin Franklin said, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” He was basically saying that if power is given to government, to keep us safe, that power will be abused, and those who are so foolish not to see that, are too foolish to have liberty or safety. He was a student of history, but since then, we have many more examples of governments doing far worse things than had occurred before his time. The bloody history of the 20th Century is as horrifying as it is illustrative of the diabolical evil those with arbitrary power are capable of.

Governments always want more power, that is the nature of government, moreover, those that seek political office have as their stated, or unstated goal, to use that political power. If someone doesn’t want to wield political power over the people, they don’t seek political office. Human beings are incapable of having enough good while a little bad is more than enough. So, it is self evident, that those who seek power over the people always want more power. Since our Constitution limits their power, it must be circumvented. To that end the political elite have enacted the bureaucracy. An unelected, unoverseen and unanswerable government entity, that regulates our every action, requires us to get permission for any economic activity, passes laws in the form of regulation outside the system laid down by our Constitution, and enforces those regulations outside the judicial system. In short a shadow government within government.

Confucius said “People follow their leaders…” what he meant is that we follow our leaders into virtue or into vice. Since our leaders are unwilling to give up their vices they must monitor us to the nth degree to keep us from following them into decadence. Our leaders are human beings, with all the foibles of human beings. They are, lustful, covetous, prideful, quick to anger, lazy, envious and most of all, greedy. They understand however that if we followed them, the system they abuse to their own ends would collapse, and they cannot allow that to happen, so they regulate and monitor our every action. The Elite regulate us to the point where no one, even the very best trained lawyer could ever know the laws, regulations and ordinances. So we cannot possibly follow them.

Human beings are not, and cannot be, perfect. Where our every action is categorized, scrutinized and memorized, everyone is a criminal. Especially when no one knows all the laws, regulations and ordinances. Where everyone is a criminal, and government has record of it, anyone can be blackmailed by government. No one can stand up to the government, because the elite have dirt on everyone, except a saint, and there is always an available open elevator shaft for that rarest of human beings. If you or I argue against a usurpation, the government need merely scrutinize our lives to find some misstep, and ruin us for it. Even to the point of jailing us, ostensibly for a violation of law, even as the real reason is for dissension. There is only one place that road can lead… arbitrary rule, or in other words, tyranny.

Our modern technology has allowed government to become a leviathan in the truest sense of the word. The tentacles of government monitoring reach to every corner of our lives. We are forced by the threat of violence, to divulge our economic situation, donate to political causes we find detestable, accept governments intrusions, give up our personal papers, have our communications monitored, etc… even as the actions of government become ever more opaque to us. While our leaders are above their own law, we are below the very basic protections that our Constitution reserves for us. The power of government over us, our actions and our lives, has become total and complete. In fact, what our government has become, is 1984 George Orwell in all but name. We have been blindly led into the Dystopian future so many have warned us of… and many of us have no concept of it.

The Destruction of Our Standard of Living.

Monday, August 4th, 2014

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, government policies are destroying the middle class in America, and unless the political elite are drooling idiots, the destruction is intentional. From the prices we pay for our needs, to the wage suppression government policies encourage, we are under assault from every direction. While our government scoffs at our Constitution and ignores their own laws we are held to every word of arcane regulation. The veil of secrecy around government and it’s actions grows while every facet of our lives is being recorded for prosecution at a later date. Our taxes are increasing at an alarming rate and the money is sent to Hamas to kill our only real allies in the region. The New Class political elite have been on a crusade to lower the standard of living of the American worker for years, and now the results are showing up for all of us to see, but many refuse to look and blindly follow the elite like lemmings. If we are to turn this around, giving our kids hope for a better life instead of a perpetually lowering standard of living, we must force the political elite to follow their own laws and our Constitution, returning the US to Constitutional rule upon which it was founded, else America will inevitably become a third world hell hole.

The business and economic elite claim there is no inflation. As the price we pay for food, housing, heat, electricity, gasoline, clothes and cars gets ever higher, the smartest people in the room claim that because I pads are cheaper, the substitution effect, and wages are stagnant, there is no inflation. The absurdity of their opinion is lost on them. I don’t buy and I pad a day but I have to eat every day, moreover, I can’t substitute an I pad for a loaf of bread. No matter how low the price of a computer gets I will only buy one when the one I am using breaks, but I have to get around, and so I have to pay for gasoline. The reality is, inflation can be driven by wages or regulation but the definition of inflation is an increase in costs, not in wages.

Speaking of wages, have your wages kept pace with the price of hamburger? Why do you suppose that is? Because government policies are destroying jobs while the government has opened the flood gates to illegal immigrants. As the number of jobs declines and the number of people looking for those jobs increases, while at the same time the cost of labor increases from regulation, there will be increasing pressure driving down wages, it is basic supply and demand. Raising minimum wage only fuels price inflation and in fact lowers everyone’s real wages, thus lowering the standard of living for everyone, without the benefit of a single person being helped. At least the elite can claim they have done something, something that has hurt instead of helped, do you suppose they are so stupid they don’t know that?

Our government is building a huge data storage facility in Utah to keep their illegal and unconstitutional recordings of our personal phone conversations, emails, and any other digital communications the government sweeps up in the NSA spying operation. Meanwhile, the actions of our government get darker and more hidden. As we drive down the street we are videoed, our license plates are recorded along with our location and the time we were there, but try to record the police and you or I would be incarcerated. Moreover, why are there 28 pages redacted from the 911 report? According to congressmen who have read them, if they were to become public, they would force every American to rethink what we know of the history of that day and who our enemies really are. So why are we being kept ignorant? Government seeks to hide their actions in the dark, but we all know what grows in the dark, mold and corruption.

Taxes and government fees go up constantly. As our government drives down wages and drives up the prices we pay for our needs, it is also raising our taxes to absurd levels, increasing the strain on our standard of living. Warren Buffett complained he was paying a lower tax rate than his secretary, so the government stepped in, raising his secretary’s taxes. No matter how high our tax burden gets our government always spends $2.00 for ever $1.00 they take in. As a result, the higher our taxes get, the more our government goes into debt. Couple this with what they spend our money on like, making indigence a career choice, buying rockets for Hamas to attack our allies with, funding every third world dictator’s Swiss bank account and giving economic aid to China, etc… and even a blind man can see why we are in such debt.

The New Class promotes the economic assault in every way, in the media, academia and culture they are unanimous in their adoration of government power and prerogative. The New Class sees nothing wrong with bringing in millions of illegal aliens to suppress our wages by creating a permanent underclass, passing thousands of pages of regulations that promote crony capitalism, keeping the actions of our “democratic” government in secrecy, while monitoring us to the nth degree, and they have no problem with arming Islamic militants against our allies. We have to face the fact that the elite, who make up the new class, are totally on board with the sinking of the US standard of living, and are the real problem.

All the actions our government is doing to destroy our standard of living could not happen if the political elite were held to their own laws and our Constitution. The entire regulatory structure of the US is based on one flawed ruling, Wickard v Filburn. That one flawed anti Constitutional ruling by the Supreme court has allowed this absurdity to grow like an aggressive cancer in our government and our economy. It needs to be overturned as badly as Dred Scott did. The only way to stop the trend to total economic separation between the rich and poor in America, like we see in third world countries, is to force the elite to follow their own laws, and our Constitution as it was written and intended. I offer one method in my book, The Fourth Branch, but there are others that might work as well. The point is, we must start holding government and those that serve in government accountable before it’s too late, if it isn’t already.

911 and the Surveillance State

Thursday, September 12th, 2013

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, one of the results of the 911 attacks on the World Trade Center, is the surveillance state we now live under. The surveillance state has been a long time coming but the terrorist attacks of 12 years ago greatly accelerated the trend. The elite seized on the opportunity to move ahead with their plan to monitor every aspect of our lives, not to protect us from terrorists, but to protect their shredding the Constitution from our outrage. This is a continuation of the elite’s overall scheme to move the US from a Constitutional republic to a socialist democracy. Anyone who has their eyes open must be alarmed at the development.

The NSA scandal has it’s roots in the 911 attacks. When the Patriot act was implemented and became law under George Bush it was sold as a means to protect the homeland from future terrorist attacks. The reality it seems, is far more sinister. The sweeping surveillance of the American people by our own government is Orwellian in it’s scope and intrusiveness. The Snowden leak is only the tip of the iceberg I’m afraid.

There is not a single aspect of our lives that is not monitored by our government. They vacuum up information from our Twitter and Facebook posts, our phone records, our personal information and our financial information. If you or I were to get just the phone records the government claims are not personal or private, we would be charged with a CPNI, (Customer Personal Information) crime. We would be tried with the full weight of Federal law. The irony is delicious. If those records are truly impersonal and not private then why is it illegal for us to gather that information? Because they are personal and private.

Many police cars have license plate readers that operate all the time. The readers log the owner of every car they pass, where that car is, at what time… and store that information in a government database. The government could conceivably use this information to model every American’s comings and goings. Software could use this data to predict not only where we are at any given time it could be used to predict our actions. Most major cities have government cameras on street corners. If these cameras are coupled with face recognition software they could be used to reduce the granularity of the police license plate readers. It is impossible to argue this is not an intrusion on our privacy.

Off site backup is a great idea and a wonderful business model but leaves anyone who uses it open to further government intrusion. Every bit of your hard drive is backed up on the firm’s server farm. They can have the very vest encryption software and have the most stringent privacy policies, but all that information is only a subpoena away from the government tracking your web habits, writings, political leanings, financial information and who your friends are. All in real time without you even knowing they are doing it! The problem is only magnified by cloud computing.

As we know, the government, not just the American government but all governments seek to increase their power over the citizenry. This is not new nor is it startling. Governments have always been this way and the United States founding fathers understood all too well this pernicious nature of government. That is why they put such stringent restrictions on the US government in the Constitution. Those restrictions have been under direct assault for over a century now. The fear that 911 caused in the American psyche was exploited to speed the scheme up.

Today if you or I bring up the Constitution we are scoffed at. Nancy Pelosy laughed when she was asked if Obama Care was Constitutional. The unbiased media derisively call those of us who argue on Constitutional grounds, “conspiracy theorists” and our own government has issued directives that clearly state that Constitutionalists are potential terrorists! Imagine that! Patriots who consider the Constitution a limiting document are called terrorists, but those who openly call for the overthrow of the US government, are not! Our government refuses even to call Islamic terrorists, who openly avow terror as a means to conquer the World, terrorists! This shows conclusively, the surveillance state is not aimed at real terrorists, it is aimed at citizens who seek to limit government on Constitutional grounds.

The IRS scandal is proof positive that the US government is, or at least has, used the apparatus of government to promote a political ideology, and we can reasonably extrapolate that scandal to any other surveillance program. If someone misuses one tool without consequence why wouldn’t they misuse other tools? Now the IRS is the gatekeeper of our health care as well as who gets tax free status. The ability to deny medical coverage to someone, due to his or her political ideology, is a very powerful tool to dominate citizens, by the political party that wields power. Coupled with the ambitious program to monitor our every move gives government unprecedented power to control us. There is no hiding from Big Brother government, and I am afraid that is exactly where we are headed, an Orwellian state… if we are not already there.
