Corruption is the Greatest Threat the Human Race Faces

Thursday, October 13th, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the greatest threat the human race faces, is corruption in government. That is the wellspring from which all other threats flow. Economic stagnation worry you? That problem is directly caused by government corruption. Terrorism in our streets scare you? That is another issue created by government corruption. Crime, drugs, violence in schools? They all have as their root government corruption. Do you fear your loved one’s might get sick and not have health coverage to provide life saving treatment? Government corruption stands directly in the way of that life saving treatment. In fact, you cannot think of a problem we face as people, that is not because of government corruption. Since government corruption is so destructive of our well being, health and finances, you would think people would vote against those who have shown themselves to be corrupt, sadly, that is not the case.

The case for economic substandard performance as the result of government corruption is pretty obvious. Markets, like environments, function best when competition is free and fair. The less free and fair a market or environment is, the poorer the performance of the inhabitants. In this, government corruption not only warps markets to serve those with political favor, but that very warping creates the conditions where profits come from political machinations, rather than creating products or services people need and want. The more profit moves away from providing value, and toward political favor, the more the corruption feedback loop is strengthened.

How is terrorism fueled by government corruption you might ask? Machiavelli said a corrupt people can never be free, in that where there is violence, average people will give up liberty for security. Of course they are really trading random violence for organized violence. There is no lowering of violence only the marshalling of it for political ends. Violence is a political tool. That is not my theory but Von Clausewitz. He posited that war is the use of violence to achieve a political aim. How is government to create the conditions where people will give up their freedom? By creating violence in society, make everyone feel unsafe in their own homes, create the conditions where going to the mall is fraught with danger, and foment such mind numbing fear that we will happily trade our liberty for slavery. Terrorism is the perfect means. That is why Merkel is importing so many Muslim’s into Europe. She isn’t so stupid she doesn’t know what she is doing. The argument we need more Muslims to prevent terrorist attacks is the same as claiming you need to put a rattlesnake in your bed to prevent snakebite. Terrorism is a means to a political end, both the terrorists know it as do the elite, they just have different political aims.

The scourge of drugs is due entirely to corruption in government. In 1900 all drugs were perfectly legal. You could buy marijuana at the drugstore, opium was available, cocaine was put in soft drinks and laudanum was sold over the counter. Even with the availability of drugs there wasn’t a huge drug problem. That is because people had a stake in society. As Veblen said, people don’t bristle at income inequality, because everyone in American knows he or she could become rich. In other words, people had a stake in society. Corruption in government has taken away that stake in society. Our young people graduate school without hope they ever can get ahead. The ability of the common man to become rich by the sweat of his brow has been eliminated by corrupt government, as is our stake in society. When someone looses hope, the temporary relief from a drug induced haze becomes possible, it seems like the only way to cope.

This year we are looking at electing someone who is obviously corrupt, has used her connections to enrich herself, destroying anyone who stands in her way, lying under oath on multiple occasions and has a public and private position on every question. Her candidacy is a sign of the times. The elite would like to forgo the election process and have set themselves to that task with an epidemic of vote fraud. The number of dead people who will cast ballots cannot be tallied because the elite have so perverted the election process. Illegally cast ballots from non citizens may swing the election, especially in close states and so with so much corruption undermining our democracy, and thereby the very foundation upon government stands, the consent of the people.

People go where our leaders lead us. When the leaders are corrupt, the people will follow their example and become corrupt, when our leaders are virtuous, the people will follow and become virtuous. We can live as virtuously as we want, but in the end, the actions of the elite will always and everywhere be a far more powerful example to our fellows. As I have shown, corruption is the greatest threat we face on planet Earth. Our economic well being, our safety, our children’s future, even our very lives, all are negatively impacted by the epidemic of government corruption sweeping across the globe. This will not be fixed by electing a strongman who will “get them.” The answer is to police the elite. Create an agency within government that has the authority, power and incentive to bring the elite to task. To think the elite will give up their power, privilege and prestige of their own free will, is to believe the Mexican drug cartels will decide they have made enough profit, and turn to charity instead. The vote has been perverted, our economy has been made a slave, there is ever increasing violence on our streets and our children are subjected to a drug culture that is pervasive. It’s past time to put your foot down and demand change…. demand a NUMA!

Humanity’s Hubris

Monday, October 3rd, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, we behold our science and technology, then stand in awe of our creations. In our awe we have become vain and egoistic, turning away from God and worshiping ourselves as gods in our own right. In that we have become as Adam and Eve. We have turned our backs on God thinking we are his equal. In our hubris we believe everything there is to know… is possible to be known, we foolishly think we can control the universe as our plaything, and we have polluted our very existence with such short sighted, egoistic and inane beliefs. In our idiocy we have destroyed the family, corrupted our governments and taxed our economies to death. The more we flail about in our self absorbed aggrandizement, the more our lot, the lot of mankind itself is diminished, reduced to the point of our self annihilation, fueled by our empty wisdom and inflated egos.

We look at the heavens and in our hubris we believe we can know all there is to know. The advancements of the hard sciences, physics, mathematics and chemistry have made us proud, and that pride tricks us into thinking we are gods. Unlike the hard sciences however, the soft sciences are often nothing but assumptions based on wishful thinking. We have egg heads who make huge gobs of money, pretending to understand complex systems that don’t lend themselves to total understanding. Systems like economics, psychology and governance are not quantifiable, as is the weight of a proton, they are not unchanging like the speed of light and they are inherently mercurial, due to millions of factors that cannot ever truly be known. In our self absorbent hubris we elevate such hucksters to the status of scientist, when in fact they are snake oil salesmen, not just taking our money and health but our very humanity.

Our egos have made us the slaves of our selfishness. When someone stands above the rest of humanity, as in the case of a king, billionaire or legislator, that person looks down on the rest of humanity. Like the child who burns ants with a magnifying glass feels no remorse, the elite believe themselves to be so high and mighty they can use the rest of humanity as mere lab rats, to be run through mazes, used for invasive tests and tossed away like a used diaper… after all, are they not a king, rich or wield temporal power? The rest of us look “up” at the elite and bow our heads to them, after all, he is a king, she is rich, they do wield such sway. It is just that inhuman regard for our fellow man, and indeed ourselves, that allows the elite to feed their egos at cost to humanity itself.

Progressivism, and it’s ultimate goal socialism, is the natural outgrowth of this. Progressives believe they can assemble the complex systems of humanity like a watch maker makes a watch. If only they can get the mechanism right, everyone would be happy in their diminished station, a cog in a mechanism. The world would run like a Rolex keeping time to the tune the elite play. The egoistic belief that they are smart enough to gauge the mass of public opinion as the mass of a neutron, they are able to divine the trajectory of future history as easy as measuring the speed of light, and the hubris to force their ideas on the rest of humanity, is the reason arbitrary rule is so attractive to the elite. In their arrogance, progressives honestly believe they are not God’s equal, but his better. They think they are able to make a world better than the one created by God, a world without poverty, violence and racism, then stand in awe of their fantasies. All that is required is that the rest of us give up our free will and bow to our overlords with the respect and reverence rightfully given to God.

The answer is to recognize we are not gods, we are flawed human beings, each of us a spark in our own right, but only a spark, a tiny portion of truth. To force one’s free will on the rest of humanity, while denying theirs, is to prove unworthy of power and respect. Such thinking has always and always will lead to catastrophe. Our leaders deserve no adulation, to do so is to adulate self-centeredness and arrogance. Science is a powerful tool to understand God’s creation, but a poor substitute for the wisdom to know that we cannot know everything, that there is more to our world than we can see, smell, taste, hear and touch, even with the vastly improved senses that our scientific instruments give us. We are not gods, no matter how powerful our machines make us or how accurately our science measures God’s universe… we are flawed human beings, to know that and yet to love humanity, despite all our flaws… is the first step to real enlightenment.

Evil is Evil, No Matter Who or How Many Do It…

Thursday, September 22nd, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, if an action is wrong for an individual, it is wrong for a group. Blame cannot be diluted, as salt is diluted in water, blame fits all equally. Evil is evil no matter who does it or how many are involved. A robbery is made no less of a sin, if ten people are involved than if a lone gunman in an alley robs you, it is still a sin and the blame is not diluted by there being ten involved, each is as to blame as a single thug. This is an important concept for people to understand since the dilution of blame is a paramount theory of government. Often this dilution of blame is such that it allows ever greater evils to be done in the name of goodness, which is of course absurdity.

If a person wants his neighbor’s land, so he storms that neighbors house killing the father and enslaving his family, obviously an evil has been done. What of a whole neighborhood lusts after the land of someone and they storm her house taking her land and killing her? Is it any less evil? What if a million people desire someone’s property, kill them and take it, is it any less evil, are the individuals any less culpable? No, they are all equally culpable and don’t share the blame, diluting it, they are all as culpable as if one person does it. No matter if the thing stolen is real property or chattel, an evil has been committed, and everyone involved shares in the blame equally, in the same measure as a lone wolf.

What if a person is detestable in his philosophy, espousing a point of view another cannot stand, so that other cuts out the first person’s tongue, has an evil been done? What if a hundred people don’t like what the first person says, would it be okay then to stop his speaking by force? What if a billion people call for it… is it any less evil? No matter the number of people involved the crime is the same, the blame is the same, and everyone involved has committed an evil. What about if someone is doing something detestable but is harming no one else? Can a lone woman take offense and lock that man in her basement for a few years? Would that be okay? What if a dozen people get together and in their indignation capture him and lock him in a dungeon for a decade, for his own good, would it be a good thing then? What if a million are offended?

A crime is a crime no matter who does it. What if a king decides he only likes women with blue eyes, would it be acceptable for him to order all women with brown or green eyes executed? Does the king’s pleasure overwhelm the right to life of those women? What about if he preferred brown eyes… would it be okay then? Would it be a good thing if a king ordered a squad of armed men to go door to door taking every carrot the people had grown? Perhaps our theoretical king could violate his own edicts, would it be acceptable for him, but not anyone else? What if that king were loved by the people, would that make it okay? No it wouldn’t. A person’s title, occupation or status does not give her the right to visit evil on another, no matter the difference in the adoration of the masses.

In the example of the king ordering a squad to visit evil on someone else, is the king less culpable because he didn’t actually commit the crime himself, what about the squad of men, are they less to blame for their actions because they were simply following orders? Do you think God will hold a death camp guard blameless because he was following orders? Will God hold the person ordering the sin blameless because she didn’t actually commit the sin herself? Maybe a king could change what is good and what is evil by edict? Could a king, beloved by the people, change morality, let’s say changing murder from a sin to a virtue? Is that in the power of any man, king or not?

That which is evil, is evil, no matter who does it, why it is done or how many people do it. Sadly this concept is lost on the lion’s share of humanity. People see a single evil and call it evil, but when they see a million evils, they call it a good. This doesn’t follow. The ancient Chinese utilitarian philosopher, Mo Ti said, “Take the case of a man who when shown a few black dots calls them black, but when shown a large number of black objects calls them white. He would have to admit his eyesight was in disorder and that he did not know the difference between black and white.” This sums up what I am saying, everyone knows a single evil like theft, is evil, but many see theft by the multitude as a good, especially if it benefit them. They would have to admit their moral compass is off by many degrees… Just because an evil is done by someone who claims to represent the many, doesn’t make it a good, it simply involves the many in the sin.

The War of Ideas

Monday, September 19th, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, we live in a world of competing ideas, America is an idea, justice is an idea, socialism is an idea, Islamism is an idea, gender fluidity is an idea, limited government is an idea, etc… these ideas compete for the minds of people. As in any competition it is not the best who wins but the most zealous. If the adherents of an idea are willing to do whatever it takes to forward their idea, then that idea will become widespread, if the adherents of an idea are wishy washy, that idea will loose ground. The battleground for these competing ideas is the media, schools, universities, cafes, bars and any other forum in which people communicate. The goal line is the zeitgeist. The ideas that permeate the zeitgeist best become widespread and either visit evil or good on humanity. It is important to note, the goodness or badness of an idea has little or no merit in the strength or weakness of that idea, the strength of an idea comes from the intensity of belief of that idea, in the minds of those who take it to be truth. If we seek goodness, then we must grab those ideas that are good and let go of those that are bad, in this we have history and common sense as guides, yet the power of many bad ideas is such that they cannot be easily let go of. As self interested rational maximizers however, it is our ability to reason that has allowed any good ideas at all to survive, against the magnetic pull of evil.

Bad ideas, or ideas that result in human suffering, have an innate pull. They always promise power wealth and prestige for those who hold fast to them. Think about the pull of socialism for a moment. It promises wealth to everyone, it claims to be a form of fairness and it pretends to be about love, (applying to emotion) but most of all, socialism gives unlimited power to those who will run the socialist state, (applying to self interest). To anyone who favors socialism, it is that unlimited power that is the magnet that provides the attraction. Every socialist wants to be the one who runs the socialist state. That is why whenever the dismal history of socialism and Marxism is brought up, the socialist will claim true socialism has never been tried, else that the “wrong” people were in charge then, the obvious connotation is that if they were in charge things would have gone much differently. Bad ideas have an innate pull to people who lust after power.

When someone is so certain of the idea they espouse they are willing to do violence to force others to believe and to stop others from abandoning that idea. The NAZI party was all too willing to visit evil on anyone who didn’t hold their ideas. They waged war against every other political faction in Germany at the time until all the rest were subjugated. Then the NAZIS went on to wage a bloody war of conquest across Europe and north Africa to further their idea of national socialism. The NAZIS are not alone in their willingness to do violence to forward their idea. The willingness to do violence in the name of an idea is a strong indication that idea is bad. If an idea requires the evil of violence to spread, that idea is evil. Evil ideas must be withstood at all costs else evil will become widespread.

Good ideas however don’t promise power, wealth or prestige for a faction, person or group, they offers good to everyone, and in that way good ideas have less power over the minds of those who take them to be truth. Limited government offers no incentive to someone who seek power over others, and so those who believe in limited government don’t have personal gain in believing in limited government, so limited government is an idea that while good, has little pull on the minds of people. The idea of America, the land of opportunity and of the free, has a strong pull to those who live in poverty or oppression, but once a person gets to America, other ideas become more attractive. Preferential treatment by political force is much easier than hard work, and so it often replaces the idea of “America,” once an immigrant comes here. The result is that people move to a place for freedom and opportunity then try mightily to turn it into a place of no opportunity and oppression.

It is in talking that we promote or denigrate ideas. Any form of communication is how ideas are spread and how they are destroyed. Hitler wrote Mien Kampf, Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto, the Founding Fathers wrote the Federalist papers and the anti Federalist papers, nightly news programs promote progressivism, and it is in our cafes, bars, and internet forums, that ideas are passed from person to person. The battleground for the spread of ideas is anyplace people congregate and talk.

When we watch people debating an idea we usually gravitate to the idea whose adherents are the most zealous. Often a zealous arguer is more convincing than one who uses logic and reason, because she uses emotion, and emotion is a stronger motivator of men than reason, especially those who claim to be “reasonable.” Logic, reason, emotion and self interest, are some of the weapons people use to promote their ideas. Emotion is like a nuclear weapon since it has such power, self interest is like strategic bombing and logic is like a sword, cutting absurdity from truth. Only where the battleground is intolerant of emotion can the nuclear weapon be banned. This is why bad ideas that are based on self interest and emotion are so powerful and have such sway over the minds of people.

We live in a world of ideas, whether evil or good, those ideas determine the quality of life of all humanity. It has been said, the human mind is like a rider on an elephant, the rider is reason and it is the elephant that does the work. Clearly, the rider has only limited control of the elephant, and must ride where the elephant goes, that is why emotion is such a good motivator. We are all self interested, seeking our own good over the good of others, applying to our immediate self interest then is another powerful way to promote an idea, bad ideas are good at this tactic while good ideas are bad at it. It is this siren call of evil ideas, that is why human history has so few examples of good ideas becoming widespread, and why evil ideas have been the norm. Good ideas apply to logic and reason while bad ideas apply to emotion and self interest. Good ideas recoil from violence while evil ideas embrace it. In the end however, the good ideas… limited government, America, and justice for all, actually are in our long term self interest, if not in our immediate self interest. Let us pray then, that humanity will use logic and reason to decide what ideas we will follow, abandoning emotion and lust, thus improving the lot of mankind.

Justice, Honor and Arbitrary Rule.

Thursday, July 7th, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the mask has come off, we in the US now officially live under arbitrary rule and our leaders have no honor whatsoever. The fact Hillary Clinton has not, and will not be indicted for destroying evidence, keeping top secret information on an unsecured server, using a personal email for government business and/or lying under oath to congress, is proof positive we live under arbitrary rule. If anyone with less political power did one of those things they would be in jail and everyone knows it. That is an undeniable fact. The US has become, no longer a constitutional republic, but a banana republic. That a member of the elite can get away with multiple infringements of federal laws, without consequences, consequences that you or I would face, shows there is a double standard at work that is as pernicious as it is destructive. Moreover, recent news articles have shown that the rest of us no longer have the protections of law, or our Constitutional rights. Just as Rome was no longer a republic after Caesar crossed the Rubicon, the US is no longer a republic since the elite have the audacity to rub our noses in the fact they are above the law, and we are below it’s protections.

There is no true rule of law whatsoever the world over. This is not just happening in the US but is a world wide phenomenon. Human history is nothing but a story of the elite holding the people to laws they will not hold themselves to. The US was different, for a speck of time, because the US had the rule of law. True, the elite held themselves to it by their honor… but at least they did. Since FDR broke the unwritten rule that a President only run for two terms, our elite have increasingly lost all honor, and have disgraced themselves in every way possible. It is a quality of a civilized person to hold others to a lower standard then one does him or herself. To hold others to a higher standard then oneself, shows a lack of character, moral indifference and conniving which is on full display in the Hillary Clinton case.

Throughout history the wise have opined about the need for honor among the rulers of a society. When the rulers have no honor they will resort to every evil known to Man. History shows this to be true but goes further. In a society where the elite have no honor the people quickly loose their honor. Confucius said it first, (at least as far as I know), the people follow their leaders into corruption or virtue. In a nation where the leaders have no honor, the people will have no honor, where the people have no honor crime, chaos and beggary are rife. Economies grow in serenity and collapse in chaos, wealth flourishes in the absence of crime but erodes like sand when crime is rampant and where the economy is collapsing and wealth is being destroyed, poverty becomes the norm. All because the leaders have no honor.

The question of whether justice or arbitrary rule is best was considered in Plato’s book, The Republic. In it, Socrates argued for justice, while Thrasymachus the sophist argued for arbitrary rule. Thrasymachus claimed the great men, (those with political power, intelligence, wealth and ambition), should not follow the law, only appear to do so… law is only to make the hoi polloi believe there is justice to facilitate the control of the people and trick them into being obedient. Socrates made the argument justice in and of itself is a good. Justice is both a good that we do because it is good and a useful good as well. By allowing arbitrary rule to come back into fashion we become the dupes of the “great men.” Do you want the elite to exploit law to enrich themselves, amass political power over us and eventually tyrannize us? Or do you agree with Socrates that justice is a good in and of itself, one that is useful in creating a peaceful, wealthy and safe society?

Why would the people follow laws even those who write them don’t? Every one of us is a hypocrisy detector and hypocrisy is the surest way to make people despise the law. As a lack of honor flows from the top down a society will increasingly only follow laws by force and threat. Whenever they believe they can get away with breaking a law they will. Once dishonor reaches the lowest rung of a society no amount of punishment will suffice. People will not be not safe in their own homes, business cannot be conducted, children are at risk, people’s oaths are meaningless and every chance meeting becomes a danger. Clearly, to allow the leaders of a country to become utterly corrupt, dishonorable, conniving and lustful for power, can only lead to human suffering on a national scale.

One way to tell how dishonorable your leaders are is to look around with open eyes. Do people need bars on their windows, are all children safe on the streets, can you look at a passerby in the eye, is poverty rampant? Corrupt leaders will claim all this is due to worthless, lazy and ignorant people, but will never look in a mirror. The Duke of Lu asked Confucius one day, how he could get the people to stop lusting after other men’s wives, stealing and murder. Confucius said, the duke could lead by example and stop doing those things himself. Shortly after that Confucius and his disciples had to flee Lu state in fear of their lives. Let the scales drop from your eyes and really see.

So you see, this is not a matter of hate of an individual or gotcha politics, it is a matter of justice and human suffering. If we allow our noses to be rubbed in the elite’s corruption, we have given our consent to the elite to be even less honorable, in doing so we sentence our children and grand children to a life of poverty, fear and tyranny. Just because you like a politician, is no reason to allow them to get away with blatantly breaking laws, laws you or I would be severely punished for. Such actions are those of children, sycophants and imbeciles. Say nothing, do nothing, and the US will join the ranks of other failed experiments in human governance like Rome, Athens, Sparta, etc… with the same catastrophic results, human suffering on a grand scale. To do nothing is to abet a crime against humanity, to do something, even if it is small and of little consequence, is to make a stand against corruption. The choice is yours, lay down and let the elite walk over you… or stand and push back. It may be too late to have an effect, since we have allowed our leaders to be villains for so long, but maybe not. Regardless, do you want to be hated by your own grandchildren for your lack of back bone, or be a champion for liberty, prosperity and equality?

On the Brexit Vote…

Thursday, June 23rd, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, tomorrows “brexit” vote will tell us if the people in Britain favor liberty… or tyranny. It is as simple as that. On the one hand leaving the European Union would create chaos and uncertainty but allow the British people to have a say in their futures. On the other hand a stay vote would keep the apple cart from upsetting and the British people will be governed by unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats who care nothing for the welfare of Britain or it’s people… the technocracy of Europe will be saved. Nevertheless tomorrows vote should be interesting, if for no other reason then, to see the machinations our “leaders” are willing to go to keep their power, privilege and prerogative. So far it appears the elite have manipulated the odds on leaving, used naked fear mongering, lied, open threats and even possibly a false flag attack. To the elite the ends justify the means, especially when the ends are their goal of total control of the hoi polloi.

Liberty is always chaotic, that is the nature of freedom, while slavery is always stable, that is the nature of slavery. A slave knows what he or she will be doing every day, sun up to sunset, no matter if that is tending to plants on a farm, toiling away in a sweatshop or servicing filthy men’s desires, there is the probability of a severe beating now and then… but a slave knows their place, their life, and future, while the life of their master is stable as well. Free men however cannot possibly know their future. A freeman might wake up in the morning after a strange dream and come up with an idea to get rich, a rich man who is free might make a bad decision and loose everything, someone might get fed up with their job and quit, all of which leads to chaos and disruption that a slave society doesn’t have. To argue that slavery is better because it is stable is like arguing death is better because it is changeless.

Simply looking at who favors staying within the European Union tells us a great deal about what such a vote would mean. Those who openly avow a one world government uniformly want the British to vote for their servitude. People like George Soros are threatening Britain with economic Armageddon if they vote to leave. Soros connived to destroy the pound sterling and admitted he made a billion dollars on that “deal.” Such a person, it must be acknowledged, doesn’t care for the British people having visited on them the suffering a destroyed currency brings. A list of those supporting staying is like a who’s who list of globalists and favorers of arbitrary rule.

David Cameron has been caught lying about future Turkish inclusion in the European Union. He said that question was decades away but it just came out that Turkey’s admission will be debated immediately after Thursdays vote. This is perhaps the single biggest reason the Brits are seeking exit. If Turkey is included in the EU, Muslim immigration, immigration that now threatens the very nature of Britain and indeed Europe itself, will go from a flood to a tsunami, washing away all vestiges of European culture, like freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the permissive sex characterized by Amsterdam, British pubs, and everything that makes Europe, well, Europe. Yet this most important issue was lied about to the British people to calm fears that, as it turns out, are very real.

A British Parliamentarian was murdered the other day by someone who supposedly is in favor of a leave vote. That hideous crime was welcomed by the stay supporters and triggered a world wide stock market rally. The globalists have tried to use that killing as a means to put off the vote indefinitely. Such actions are tantamount to dancing on the grave of Jo Cox. Now some conspiracy theorists believe her killing was a false flag attack to undermine the referendum, I have my doubts, crazy people are everywhere and by definition, do crazy things. If the killer actually wants Britain to leave, as he is said to want by the media that calls itself unbiased, he wouldn’t have created sympathy for the stay crowd… unless he was a nut job.

Of course there is always the possibility that the European Union bureaucracy will not let Britain leave anyway. Look what they did to Greece. The European Union’s Bureaucrats ordered, by fiat, the rightfully elected leaders of Greece to vacate their offices, who were replaced by apparatchiks from the EU. Greece is now a technocracy. Such actions are not the works of accountable leaders but of autocrats who rule arbitrarily. That such firebrands obeyed the orders of unelected unaccountable despots can only lead us to believe there were threats behind the scenes. Greece is now basically a protectorate of the EU. Philip Dru would be pleased.

Such obvious conniving should be a clarion call to all the British people and indeed all the people of Europe. Germany, France, Sweden and Belgium are rapidly loosing their identities as well. Protests fill the streets regularly in those rapidly disintegrating former nations. Europe is promptly loosing it’s unique culture and societies. Of course that is the plan for the globalists who seek one world government. They call it “multiculturalism,” when it is in fact the destruction of all cultures, to be replaced with a culture of slavery and subservience. In this one instance I agree with Nietzsche, and it makes my skin crawl to do so, Europeans have as a matter of history had the mindset of slaves, now that mindset is showing itself to be a suicide pact as well. May the vote be free of tampering, honestly reflect the will of the British people… and be the spark that sets the fire of freedom blazing in Europe again.

The Pendulum Between Socialism and Capitalism

Thursday, June 16th, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, there is a political pendulum that swings continually back and forth between socialism and capitalism, that pendulum is shown most clearly in the third world but is also apparent in the West as well. That political pendulum is driven by public opinion on the merits of both. Once a nation becomes relatively wealthy via capitalism there is always a movement to change to a socialist economy. Once the cancer of spreads sufficient, socialists are elected and begin to enact socialist policies. Once those policies are implemented… graft, corruption, poverty and outright famine take hold in a once wealthy country. The socialists however will not allow capitalists to get elected and wield power, so to change back to a market system there requires either a revolution, or criminal trials for the socialist elite. Once the government is under the control of capitalist, or to be more precise, politicians who favor the free market and liberty it provides, the economy becomes healthy again and the standard of living rebounds. The economy never achieves it’s former highs but the rampant corruption is dealt with, the suppression of economic activity subsides and some level of liberty is restored. Once the people become comfortable again, they vote socialists back in, and the cycle starts again.

Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Zimbabwe among others are perfect examples of this in action. In Argentina the profoundly corrupt socialists are facing criminal trials for their naked corruption. Politicians who favor free markets and liberty are back in charge, but only until they fix the economy and government, once they are fixed the people will again vote in socialists, as has happened over and over in Argentina. Venezuela is almost to the point of tossing out the socialists because they are at the bottom of the economic cycle. Basic needs cannot be met and poverty is as crushing as it is rampant. All in a nation setting on an ocean of oil. Hugo Chavez and his Bolivarian revolution has taken a relatively wealthy south American nation to absolute destitution. If he were still alive there would be executions in the streets of pro free market politicians. Rest assured however, the moment the free market repairs the economy and the corruption is rooted out of government, the people will again turn to socialism.

The US has just embarked on the socialist experiment. So far under Barak Obama it has been an utter failure. The media that calls itself unbiased is doing it’s job, as ordered by Obama, to protect him and forward the agenda. They have been good little toadies. Reporting on the economy is always rosy, despite the fact that interest rates have been held at an absurd level the entire span of Obama’s regime, US standing in the world has collapsed, terrorism has gone from an inconvenience to an existential threat and our debt to GDP ratio has never been higher, even during WWII. US manufacturing has seen 9 straight months of decline, a result not seen in over 100 years, (since Woodrow Wilson). Without recession. In fact by many metrics we have been in recession for years… but recession only happens when we are told by the elite we are in recession. The US is being overrun by people who come here illegally, have no intention of assimilating and pose a perpetual threat to the citizens. By every measure the US has dramatically declined under Obama’s march to socialism. Like an alcoholic however, the decline is ignored until we hit rock bottom, like one of Argentina’s many bouts with hyper inflation that gutted the middle class over and over.

This cycle is driven by human nature. People want to be comfortable and we want that comfort easy. It is all too easy to see the shortcomings of socialism when it has obliterated wealth, created famine and steeped the government in corruption, but once the government is free of corruption, there is economic prosperity and people have their needs met, the siren song of socialism tickles the ears of the people. Socialists will claim there is so much wealth it should be redistributed to those who need from those who have. The idea sounds great to those who want, but believe they need, so they will throw the gates open for the Trojan horse. Socialists appeal to our envy, feed our greed and fill our bellies with hate. The call for a more equitable distribution of the goods of society grows in volume and intensity until socialists get elected. The claim is that it will work this time because we have the “right” leaders. Socialists rely on the lazy, ignorant and foolish to gain power. Since free market politicians have as their core value, liberty, they allow free and fair elections, and so another experiment in socialism is started. One that will fail, like all the others, resulting in a diminished standard of living for everyone but the elite.

The cycle of socialism/capitalism is as destructive as cancer, unfortunately, human nature prevents us from treating the disease, as well as the constant drumbeat of propaganda from the media, that calls itself unbiased. Such a cycle is impossible to break as long as those who are in love with socialism control the government monopoly school system, the media, our universities, media, the legal sector and big business. That is why the new class so stridently oppose any reform of education like the voucher system, such reform would take thousands of children away from their indoctrinating centers, give them good educations and enable children educated in such a system, to engage in the market system. The results would undermine the cycle and therefore cannot be allowed. The results would feed back, and more people would seek economic improvement within the free market framework, laughing at the lies of the socialists. In short, the power of the new class must be reduced, and since that is nearly impossible, the cycle will go on. I call dibs on that slice of half eaten moldy bread, maybe I can even find some rancid butter to put on it…

What Catch Phrases always Catch

Monday, May 2nd, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, catch words have a way of catching those who use them. Various political factions use their own catch phrases, often to show what side they are on, sometimes to move the minds of the people to be more inclined to their side, and rarely, to say what they really mean. Because of this fact we have the ability, if we are willing to exercise our brains, to recognize both the faction and the goal of most political speakers. Since all politics has a goal… recognizing it is of paramount importance. Of course, any political speaker could exchange his or her words for the words of another faction, to confuse and pollute the catch phrases of that other faction, and it has been done to the conservative and libertarian factions to great effect. Even the lack of using catch words denotes factional affiliation. The catchword of the day is “democracy.”

Those who call the United States of America a “democracy” have an obvious agenda. Factually, the US is a Constitutional Republic, to call it a democracy is to show ignorance or lie, to pollute the minds of the people. The new class, who are the most educated in our society, call the US a democracy all the time. The media never calls the US a Constitutional Republic, our politicians, almost to the man, use the misdirection, “democracy,” as do those in academia. The most vexing people who use the term are lawyers however. Those in the legal profession have extensive training in our governmental and legal structure, they operate the strings of our republic and they control all three branches with absolute power. They also have years of training in how to make a lie appear truth and the truth appear to be a lie. You might argue they are lazy and use the term because it has become so ingrained, but do you call your daughter a son out of laziness?

The way the misdirection “democracy” has so infiltrated the minds of the American people is because the new class has been pushing it for so long. At least as long as I have been alive the media have called the US a democracy. We swim in the lie. It surrounds us like water does a fish. Our minds are carefully inculcated with the false idea the US is a democracy and so we drink it in, it soaks into our pores and sticks to us no matter if we step out of it. Today, if you ask anyone what form of government the US is they will invariably say, democracy. The very few who will give the correct answer, constitutional republic, also show their political affiliation.

Democracy according to Aristotle is one of the wrong forms of government. Aristotle said in Nicomachean Ethics, that there are three right forms, three wrong forms and one perfect form of government. The three right forms are, monarchy, aristocracy and polity. His three wrong forms are tyranny, oligarchy and democracy. His perfect form is a republic or the blending of the right forms. The reason tyranny, monarchy and democracy are wrong forms, is that they serve only the interests of the ruling faction. Tyranny only serves the king’s interests, oligarchy only serves the interests of the aristocracy and democracy only serves the interests of the majority. They also are unlimited in their power, for example, Socrates was executed by democratic edict.

Pure democracy is unlimited in it’s power, scope and reach. It is simply mob rule. In any mob the person running it has the real power. In effect becoming a tyrant. The quality of democracy, those who misname the US are trying to insinuate into the minds of the people, is that the people have unlimited power. What the really seek is unlimited power for themselves. Every mob has a boss, someone who calls the shots, tells the mob who to beat up, what to steal, what to smash and who to murder. The question that must never be asked however is, because the majority want something does that make it moral? If the majority was whipped into a frenzy of hate against you, voting to have you dragged behind a car until you are dead, would that be moral? But, but… the majority ruled, doesn’t that make it okay? Of course not! What is wrong for the individual to do is wrong for a group of individuals to do, that is a basic tenet of true morality.

Liberty on the other hand, has been purged from our political lexicon, which really says it all. The term freedom is used instead. Liberty carries with it a connotation of responsibility and cost where freedom is based on the root word free, no cost, no responsibility, no consequences. In a democracy people have freedom to be as vile, loathsome and evil as they see fit, while all the time claiming they have freedom to do it. The goal of eliminating liberty and replacing it with freedom is to create a people with no moral compass, the goal of misnaming the US as a democracy is to create mob rule with those who use the term as the mob boss, who will then tell that mob to destroy our Constitution, our liberty and anyone who stands in their way. Yes, catch phrases can tell us a lot about the motivations, goals and means of the speaker, catching them in their machinations.

The Double Standard is Slavery

Monday, April 4th, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, today while the lowest of us are held to the highest standard, the highest of us are held to the lowest standard. The mechanism of it is appeal to authority. Of course that was what the Enlightenment was all about, rejecting appeals to authority and settling arguments by logically reasoned, rational discourse. Rational discourse however, is and has been, a means for the people to wrest power form the elite and so is discouraged. In doing so, those who run our governments, banks, corporations, journals, and adjudicate law, are devolving us back to a time and philosophy that predate the Enlightenment, to a form of slavery. Think about it, is a slave allowed to do that which a master can, of course not. The master has free reign to do whatever he or she wants and the slave must toe the line. What if a slave acts up and does something the master disapproves of? The slave is punished. The more obvious the double standard becomes, the more secure the elite feel in their dominance over us, now that the double standard cannot be denied our slavery is all but complete.

The Enlightenment was a watershed event in human understanding. It rejected appeals to authority, which prior to the Enlightenment, was the basis for all discussions. If the authority said something, it became the truth regardless of the absurdity. The Enlightenment made the case that disagreements in the sciences, politics and economics should be decided by rational discourse. The person with the most logical best reasoned argument would win. This doctrine gave rise to the market system, the industrial revolution, constitutionalism, science and a constantly rising standard of living. Such an important advance in human understanding should be protected, nurtured, enshrined and taught so it can keep benefiting the whole of humanity. Sadly, it gets in the way of the elite’s interests and so has been hidden, perverted and mischaracterized.

Constitutionalism was probably the most important advance that came directly from the Enlightenment. Science, it can be argued, was more important, but science in and of itself cannot raise the standard of living, or the humanity of a people, limited government does and limited government gives rise to the conditions that allow science to flourish. Constitutionalism, and along with it, limited government, was a rational reaction to the history of human governments. Many had been birthed in liberty but had always aged into tyranny. A constitution is a contract between the governed and the governors describing what powers the government has and what powers are reserved for the people. Since mankind’s first attempts at writing constitutions the idea of a constitution limiting government has been perverted by the elite to empowering government. Like Obama said, the US Constitution is a charter of negative liberties, in that it limits what government can do to you but in Obama’s view, a constitution should limit the people rather than the government, empowering government to do for us. That is the modern philosophy that returns us to a doctrine of appeal to authority and thereby… slavery.

Why wouldn’t everyone want to be a slave? You get three hots and a cot, your day is planned for you, your freedom to act is strictly enumerated, you have free healthcare and you are protected. Liberty is why people hate being slaves. We all crave liberty. Liberty comes from equality. When some people are allowed more liberty than others, the argument cannot be made there is equality, and if there is not equality, there is no real liberty. Those who are limited in their actions are the slaves and those who have freedom are the masters. If a slave speaks back to his master he is punished and made an example of. A slave’s actions require permission from her master while a master’s actions require no permission from their slave.

Today we are awash in double standards. Al Gore was caught red handed violating campaign finance laws, and had the audacity to stand before the nation declaring there is no overriding legal authority to hold him to the law, and that was accepted by the slaves. Hillary Clinton was caught red handed using an unsecured server to store top secret information putting the entire nation at risk and to date there is no negative consequences for it. If you or I, on the other hand, were to violate campaign finance laws as Dinesh D’souza did, we would go to jail, as he did. If we were to endanger national security, even accidentally, we would be imprisoned. The elite, like Tim Geithner and Charlie Rangel, regularly get caught lying on their taxes with no punishment, if you are caught doing it to a much lesser extent, there are life altering consequences. As Obama was threatening gun owners and sellers along the Mexico boarder with sanctions, for supplying Mexican drug cartels with weapons, Obama himself, as it turned out, was the one supplying the weapons! He faced no such sanctions however. The list of examples where the elite, our masters, have liberty where we don’t could fill a tome the size of the national register.

Global Climate change is the best example of how the elite are moving us away from the advances of the Enlightenment back to appeal to authority. You are not allowed to question the voracity of man made climate change because the authorities have made their determination. Arguments are even met with threats of imprisonment. The concept of limited government has been so veiled in propaganda, misdirection and taught ignorance, most people believe the liberty of others is a bad thing, and so destroy their own liberty by their lack of understanding. We have become so ignorant, needy and selfish we allow our noses to be rubbed in a double standard. That double standard is proof positive there is no true equality, and therefore, no true liberty. When some people are above the rules, they are the masters, and when others are below it’s protections, they are slaves. You are a slave, even if not in name, but in fact.

Liberty Enforced by Regulation

Monday, March 7th, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, to seek freedom by regulation, is like trying to breathe underwater. So many modern intellectuals foster the inane notion, more regulation will attain more freedom, it has become a meme. The Black Lives Matter movement demands separation or the races and requires regulations to enforce it, Campus student associations demand safe spaces enforced by rules so they don’t have to hear opposing views, gay and lesbian groups demand the freedom to marry by forcing others to marry them with laws, government claims it needs to have total surveillance of us so we can live the American dream, the list is tiresomely long and growing. People today swim in a swamp of logical absurdity. Regulation is to liberty as water is to breathing.

Almost everyone wants freedom. It is a basic drive of the human being. We seek liberty for ourselves and our children but at the same time desire to limit the actions of criminals and those with evil intent. Intellectuals use this basic conflict to get us to back more and more regulation. Despite the demonstrable proof that most regulation does the opposite of what it is supposed to do we continue to add to it. The amount of regulations we have to live under grows at an exponential rate because of this. Even as we desire more freedom we demand more regulation. We drown ourselves and our economy in red tape.

In a society of sociopaths no amount of regulation would be enough and in a civilization of saints no regulation would be necessary. In the same way, regulations don’t really stop the people with evil intent, Evil people care nothing for law and so laws just give the sociopath and psychopath a leg up on their victims. Alternatively, those of us without evil intent are severely limited by the regulations, since we follow the law, we have to live under them and so are limited in our economic, social and family outcomes. Greater regulations only help those with evil intent but damage those who are good.

More laws don’t stop crime, more laws create more criminals, because as the body of law increases limiting the possible actions of everyone, people will be forced to break the law either out of ignorance or malevolence. In a total state everyone is a criminal. Where everything is outlawed everyone must be a criminal, the closer we get to the total state, the more criminals there will be. Those who seek a total state will point to the greater criminality their laws create to pass more laws. It becomes a self effecting loop. The only logical end is the total state.

It is no coincidence that those who most vociferously call for more regulations, to create more freedom, are from the statist side of the political spectrum. Both the right and left have a statist side and an anarchist side. It is from the statists that we hear if government limits us we will have more liberty. The fall back is always to increase the power of the state. They argue that liberty can be forced on a society by law, morality can be enforced by regulations and honesty can be created by oversight. All of which are logical fallacies.

Honesty cannot be created by oversight, oversight simply undermines honesty by making the dishonest appear honest. Such a system undermines the incentive, moral and societal, to actually be honest. In such a society it is better to appear honest than to be honest. Morality enforced by fiat is an absurdity since morality is not extrinsic but intrinsic. Morality is something we incorporate within us growing up, not something that smothers us, like a regulation from without. It is either within us or not but cannot be injected like a vaccine. Most of all… the cause of liberty is never advanced by limiting law. Liberty by definition is a lack of government regulation. Law is the opposite of liberty.

Obviously I am not calling for anarchy, basic laws must remain else our civilization will devolve into a war between the immoral and moral, strong versus the weak. Civilization is fostered best where the people are taught morality, honesty and virtue as children. Human beings, you and I, are evil by nature, the civilization in us is a learned trait. Our intrinsic civilization in us is the result of our parents, religions and societal pressure. Law, regulations and punishments are only effective if kept to a minimum. Too much regulation and virtue is undermined, too little and chaos ensues. The social Fibonacci sequence then in civilization is to create a society where people are inculcated with self control as children. To expect people to be held in check by law, even onerous law, who are incapable of controlling themselves, is as crazy as trying to breathe underwater.
