The World is Run By Evil People

Thursday, March 23rd, 2017

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, we normalize the world we live in, by believing that those who are powerful are good, while those who are evil are weak. Sadly that is exactly opposite of the truth. Those people who are evil control the levers of power while those who are good are subjects of evil. It is hard to face the facts that the planet we live on is ruled by evil people, by evil means, for evil ends. The attributes of people who are evil, selfish, self centered, egoistic, heartless, conniving, charismatic and ruthless, are exactly those that lead to political power. While our prisons are filled with stupid evil men with little power, our halls of congress, presidencies, prime ministers, Judges, etc… are filled with smart evil people. Those same evil people who run the world, love democracy, because we are so easy for them to manipulate. Once in awhile though, people do wake up and vote in someone who is not of that low caliber. When that happens the rest of the evil people will set themselves to destroy that aberration. Like they have Trump.

Why is this so? Why are most of our leaders evil? Because an election is nothing more than an empty beauty contest. It is never the one with merit who wins, it is the one who pleases the electorate the most. Place a man on a podium, give him a lisp, an ugly visage, stooping posture and high pitched voice, and though he speaks the wisdom of the ages, he will be derided a fool. Take another, make him tall, hansom, deep voice and charismatic presence, and though he speak utter nonsense he will be lauded a genius. That is because we judge more by our eyes then our minds and hearts. Instead of listening to the words we look at the speaker, instead of trying to understand the arguments for both sides, we follow the tall hansom man, and because we do we hand the reigns of power, over and over, to evil people.

Even though evil people are suited for politics, does that mean all politicians are evil? Of course not, not all politicians are evil just like not all prisoners in our jails are evil. Having said that, it must be admitted that the temptation of power to an evil person is like heroin to an addict. The desire for it is overwhelming. Power is magnetic to evil people. With power they can exist above the law, while at the same time, lower the rest of us beneath it’s protections. The few politicians who are in it to serve humanity, are very few and far between, and they are universally despised by the political establishment. Those who are not evil represent a mortal threat to those who are. The power evil usurps defines them, anyone who threatens that power must be dealt with. We are witnessing this first hand in the treatment of Trump.

How can we know if a politician is evil? The first method is how is he or she accepted by the political establishment? If they are beloved, held up as the smartest, wisest and most wonderful of people, you can rest assured that person is as evil as Satan himself. He or she will blend right in to the cesspool that is politics. If a politician is loathed, attacked for nothing, constantly ridiculed and we are told he or she is a fool that will bring down our democracy… you know for certain that politician is good. Evil people will treat a good person as a pariah while they will treat an evil person with respect and dignity. The elite who are mostly evil, respect another evil person because they know that person will cross any bridge then turn and burn it into the river, if they are offended. Treated with dignity because all evil people have easily bruised thin skinned egos. If their ego is bruised, an evil person will wax a grudge until they can destroy their tormentor, like they did Nixon for prosecuting Alger Hiss.

Good people usually are not drawn to power over other, they seek peace, equanimity, love and friendship for their own sake, while an evil person will also seek these things, but as a means to an end, not an end in and of themselves. A good person will tend to his or her own life and let others be. An evil person cannot allow others to simply be, the evil person must control everyone else. One facet of being evil, is that evil people hold others as fools to be manipulated into self harm, as the elite are doing in Europe with their policy of self genocide. Where a good person will avoid war an evil person desires it. The evil will eschew deterrence claiming it triggers an aggressor, all the time knowing full well that the weakness will encourage aggression, giving them what they want, war.

It is all important to understand the world we live in in order to make it better for our children. The US founding fathers knew the nature of the world and power, and attempted to control those evil men they knew are drawn to power. Over two hundred years of whittling away at it, the elite have managed to move us totally away from our Constitution, making it a joke. Why else do you think the elite laugh in our faces, like Nancy Pelosi did, when asked if this or that policy, law or regulation is “Constitutional.” They know our Constitution now means what ever the Hell they tell us it does, and that may change tomorrow, depending on the wants of the evil people in charge. Instead of judging with your eyes, judge with your mind, if a politician’s voice makes a shiver go down your leg, you have to understand you are judging with your eyes instead of your mind. Recognize that impossible pie in the sky promises are just means of manipulating you into acting against your own interests. In short… wake up and smell the coffee, our politicians are not good people, they do not work for our interests, they love human suffering and poverty, setting themselves to creating more of it. Judge with your mind instead of your eyes.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Justice, Honor and Arbitrary Rule.

Thursday, July 7th, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the mask has come off, we in the US now officially live under arbitrary rule and our leaders have no honor whatsoever. The fact Hillary Clinton has not, and will not be indicted for destroying evidence, keeping top secret information on an unsecured server, using a personal email for government business and/or lying under oath to congress, is proof positive we live under arbitrary rule. If anyone with less political power did one of those things they would be in jail and everyone knows it. That is an undeniable fact. The US has become, no longer a constitutional republic, but a banana republic. That a member of the elite can get away with multiple infringements of federal laws, without consequences, consequences that you or I would face, shows there is a double standard at work that is as pernicious as it is destructive. Moreover, recent news articles have shown that the rest of us no longer have the protections of law, or our Constitutional rights. Just as Rome was no longer a republic after Caesar crossed the Rubicon, the US is no longer a republic since the elite have the audacity to rub our noses in the fact they are above the law, and we are below it’s protections.

There is no true rule of law whatsoever the world over. This is not just happening in the US but is a world wide phenomenon. Human history is nothing but a story of the elite holding the people to laws they will not hold themselves to. The US was different, for a speck of time, because the US had the rule of law. True, the elite held themselves to it by their honor… but at least they did. Since FDR broke the unwritten rule that a President only run for two terms, our elite have increasingly lost all honor, and have disgraced themselves in every way possible. It is a quality of a civilized person to hold others to a lower standard then one does him or herself. To hold others to a higher standard then oneself, shows a lack of character, moral indifference and conniving which is on full display in the Hillary Clinton case.

Throughout history the wise have opined about the need for honor among the rulers of a society. When the rulers have no honor they will resort to every evil known to Man. History shows this to be true but goes further. In a society where the elite have no honor the people quickly loose their honor. Confucius said it first, (at least as far as I know), the people follow their leaders into corruption or virtue. In a nation where the leaders have no honor, the people will have no honor, where the people have no honor crime, chaos and beggary are rife. Economies grow in serenity and collapse in chaos, wealth flourishes in the absence of crime but erodes like sand when crime is rampant and where the economy is collapsing and wealth is being destroyed, poverty becomes the norm. All because the leaders have no honor.

The question of whether justice or arbitrary rule is best was considered in Plato’s book, The Republic. In it, Socrates argued for justice, while Thrasymachus the sophist argued for arbitrary rule. Thrasymachus claimed the great men, (those with political power, intelligence, wealth and ambition), should not follow the law, only appear to do so… law is only to make the hoi polloi believe there is justice to facilitate the control of the people and trick them into being obedient. Socrates made the argument justice in and of itself is a good. Justice is both a good that we do because it is good and a useful good as well. By allowing arbitrary rule to come back into fashion we become the dupes of the “great men.” Do you want the elite to exploit law to enrich themselves, amass political power over us and eventually tyrannize us? Or do you agree with Socrates that justice is a good in and of itself, one that is useful in creating a peaceful, wealthy and safe society?

Why would the people follow laws even those who write them don’t? Every one of us is a hypocrisy detector and hypocrisy is the surest way to make people despise the law. As a lack of honor flows from the top down a society will increasingly only follow laws by force and threat. Whenever they believe they can get away with breaking a law they will. Once dishonor reaches the lowest rung of a society no amount of punishment will suffice. People will not be not safe in their own homes, business cannot be conducted, children are at risk, people’s oaths are meaningless and every chance meeting becomes a danger. Clearly, to allow the leaders of a country to become utterly corrupt, dishonorable, conniving and lustful for power, can only lead to human suffering on a national scale.

One way to tell how dishonorable your leaders are is to look around with open eyes. Do people need bars on their windows, are all children safe on the streets, can you look at a passerby in the eye, is poverty rampant? Corrupt leaders will claim all this is due to worthless, lazy and ignorant people, but will never look in a mirror. The Duke of Lu asked Confucius one day, how he could get the people to stop lusting after other men’s wives, stealing and murder. Confucius said, the duke could lead by example and stop doing those things himself. Shortly after that Confucius and his disciples had to flee Lu state in fear of their lives. Let the scales drop from your eyes and really see.

So you see, this is not a matter of hate of an individual or gotcha politics, it is a matter of justice and human suffering. If we allow our noses to be rubbed in the elite’s corruption, we have given our consent to the elite to be even less honorable, in doing so we sentence our children and grand children to a life of poverty, fear and tyranny. Just because you like a politician, is no reason to allow them to get away with blatantly breaking laws, laws you or I would be severely punished for. Such actions are those of children, sycophants and imbeciles. Say nothing, do nothing, and the US will join the ranks of other failed experiments in human governance like Rome, Athens, Sparta, etc… with the same catastrophic results, human suffering on a grand scale. To do nothing is to abet a crime against humanity, to do something, even if it is small and of little consequence, is to make a stand against corruption. The choice is yours, lay down and let the elite walk over you… or stand and push back. It may be too late to have an effect, since we have allowed our leaders to be villains for so long, but maybe not. Regardless, do you want to be hated by your own grandchildren for your lack of back bone, or be a champion for liberty, prosperity and equality?

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Tragedy’s First Cause

Monday, June 13th, 2016

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, to exploit tragedy for personal gain is callous, to create a tragedy so one can exploit it… is downright evil. Those who are so dead inside they are willing to create the conditions where tragedy is impossible to avoid, know that most people don’t look beyond last cause, certainly not following the chain of causality back to the primary cause. As such they believe their actions can go unreported and unknown. Of course some will point to the primary cause. Those diabolical people who created the tragedy to begin with, have only to claim anyone who is rightly pointing at the primary cause, or first cause, are conspiracy theorists, and the fiction the connivers are peddling can go on, while those who point at their malevolence are marginalized as cooks. Much evil in our world has been implemented in just this manner. As rational maximisers, we have to be aware that such manipulation exists and look beyond last cause to the primary cause, before we lay blame.

Causality is always a chain of events. If a building collapses, we can look at the rotten support that failed, as the last cause, or we can look at what made the member rot in the first place, the first or primary cause. A conniver might claim the primary cause was the building design was faulty to begin with, ignoring the fact it stood decades or perhaps centuries, before the rotten timber gave and the building collapsed. If all we look at is the rotten timber we miss the root cause of the collapse, namely, whatever rotted the timber in the first place. Someone who is intent on manipulating us to their own selfish ends loves this lazy tendency of humanity. They can create the conditions where a structural collapse is inevitable, say poking a hole strategically over a vulnerable timber, then when the collapse happens, demand they be given autocratic power to oversee all buildings or redesign them, “for our own good.” Few will look to the source of the leak and so their conniving will pay dividends.

If we as a people stopped falling for the conniving of evil people, instead punishing them for creating the conditions where human suffering is inevitable, the scheming would stop. Sociopathic individuals operate on a strictly egoistic basis. They care nothing for the suffering of others, and are all too willing to create suffering to benefit themselves, if instead their self interest was severely damaged, they would not engage in it in the first place. In some cases the conniver is a psychopath, and enjoys watching the suffering they inflict on mankind, that they benefit is a bonus to them. In both cases if we look only at where they point we will always be looking in the wrong place and in both cases punishing the conniver would yield benefits for humanity.

Anyone who says or believes, “Never let a tragedy go to waste,” is someone who should never be let anywhere near the reigns of power. By their very admission they are at the least callous individuals and at worst they are evil connivers. If we examine their actions and find that such actions led directly or indirectly to a tragedy, or a host of tragedies, it is clear they are sociopaths or even possibly psychopaths. To allow a psychopath or sociopath access to power is the absolute acme of stupidity. Moreover turning a blind eye to their conniving is not merely stupid but abets the crime. We owe it to our children to root out such nefarious, evil, egoistic people, from government else we and our children must suffer from our indifference, aid and willful ignorance. Always look beyond where the connivers are pointing, instead look to primary causes, did they create conditions where this tragedy is inevitable, if so them why, then act accordingly.

Crime requires a means and motive. If someone tells you they are going to kill you and rape your daughter, you don’t buy them the house next door, in hopes they will see that you are open minded and therefore befriend you, that would be idiotic. If your other neighbor buys them that house and helps them move in… when you are killed and your daughter is raped, it is as much the fault of that malevolent neighbor as the actual murderer and rapist. The conniving neighbor provided the means for the crime knowing the motive was there. When government does the exact same thing, then claims that to “protect you” they need to disarm you, force you to shut up, subject you to intrusive monitoring, while at the same time refusing to identify the criminal, you can be assured those in government are malevolent connivers intent on using human suffering to forward their agenda. The ends do not justify the means, no matter the ends, and especially where the ends and means are evil.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Glittering Lies and Hubris

Monday, September 14th, 2015

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, many people have a sense of superiority because they refuse to see what is right in front of them, instead believing a glittering lie. By their very nature a glittering lie is easier to believe than an ugly truth. A glittering lie is crafted so it catches the eye, tempts the mind and wets the appetite while an ugly truth is unappealing, the mind recoils at it and the stomach turns when it is said. In this way those who spread glittering lies catch so many people in their net. Of course when a glittering lie is questioned you can rely on those spreading it to attack the person making the argument instead of the argument, this is because it is a lie and so cannot stand the scrutiny of reason. Another sure fire way to spot a glittering lie is by asking yourself, “who will benefit?” If the answer is the person making the allegation, and it will cost you handsomely… it is probably a lie. To fall for a glittering lie is the easiest thing to do, many have and met with catastrophe for it, will you?

Human history is just a series of people falling for glittering lies. The German people fell for a glittering lie in the 1930s, the American people fell for a glittering lie in the same decade, the French fell for a glittering lie in the 1790s, the people of Cambodia in 1975, and the list goes on and on. The people fell for the lie, then realized too late it was a lie, then lived through horrors, economic hardships and unimagined violence as a result. A glittering lie is never told for the benefit of the people, no, it is told so some villain can seize power over the people. Any time a villain gets power over people he or she uses it. The result is never equality, a better environment, prosperity or peace, the result is always the opposite.

During the time the people are actively falling for the lie, those who have swallowed the hook have a sense of righteousness. They look down their noses at those idiots who are too dull to see the glitter and stand amazed at their own intelligence, acumen and open mindedness. Those who try to call attention to inconsistencies are hated, and when they are proven right, they become despised. Take the example of Edmund Burke. History proved him correct about the eventual result of the French Revolution, which made those who fell for the glittering lie loathe him all the more. No one likes someone who is right when they themselves are wrong, it proves the other’s greater acumen, intelligence and open mindedness, to hate that is human nature.

People who tell glittering lies always appeal to the emotions, but a lie is best when it contains bits of truth, so by combining emotion with a little truth, they make their lies appear to be obvious truths. Hitler told the German people such a lie, he appealed to their emotions in the slogan, “Strength through joy,” and the superiority of the German people, the super race… He spoke to their recent economic hardships by claiming the planned economy would give them prosperity, and he connected with the German idea of the Volk. When Winston Churchill said Nazism was a threat, he was drummed out of office, called a Luddite and spent years on the desert. Once he was proven right, the British people realized they needed him and elected him to office. When the war was over however, they summarily drummed him back out of office, because while they knew they needed him during the war, that he had been right all along made him hated by the new class who had been wrong.

The planned economy is another such glittering lie. Just as it failed in the French Revolution, USSR, Cambodia, China and everywhere else it has been tried, those who shill for it, never tire of it and ignore the tremendous human suffering it has brought into the world, and go on to claim it is inevitable. Those who have been proponents of the planned economy have been lionized regardless of the atrocities they have wrought, Che Guevara, Lenin, Trotsky, Marx, and a whole host of college professors and deans. Those who disagree are attacked personally and are marginalized. John Maynard Keynes is a economic giant even today, after his theories have led to successive bubbles, while Frederick Hayek is still wandering in the desert of economic theory. Keynes told a glittering lie while Hayek told an ugly truth.

Look at the vitriol Christianity is showered with today by the new class. They despise Christianity, all the more when it is proven right about an issue, be it the atrocity of abortion on demand, Pope John Paul’s stand against socialism, miracles or any number of issues. Those atheists who tell the glittering lie that Christianity is evil, always point to some atrocity someone who called him or herself a Christian did, hundreds of years ago, that was in direct contravention of Christian doctrine, principles and Jesus himself would find revolting. Some even justify the present genocide against Christians in the Middle East, as deserving, because of colonialism, antisemitism and the dark ages. Despite their own antisemitism, colonialist intentions and despotic policies, policies that are exactly what they claim Christians did wrong! While they point an accusatory finger at Christianity, for what it doesn’t say, three point back at them for what they do and intend. What the atheists who turn a blind eye to Christian genocide are really arguing, is that the innocent little 9 year old girl deserves a daily gang rape, it is just, since people she never met, is not related to, acted unchristian like and lived hundreds of years ago… did.

Those that believe the glittering lie will say, the science is settled, history has spoken, it is justice, it is inevitable and call it historical responsibility, etc… they will personally attack anyone who points out the inconsistencies as being Luddites, unable to grasp the intricacies, the argument is too subtle and dull witted, along with a whole host of pejoratives, withheld for those who apply logic to a glittering lie. Those who start and further a glittering lie always stand to gain power over the people if their lies are accepted. Just as today’s global warming alarmists stand to gain total control over the economy, our lives and gain power that historical despots could only dream of. To see a glittering lie for what it is, requires an open mind, probing logic and an eye for inconsistencies, that so few human beings are able to do these things and stand up to the personal attacks, smears and laughter of those who have fallen for the lie, is why our history is littered with human suffering.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Nuclear World War

Monday, August 24th, 2015

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the instability on the planet today is… the new world order. The new world order is disorder, violence, wars of aggression and human suffering on a scale heretofore unimaginable. You think the suffering WWII visited upon the world was bad, we are about to enter a warring states period that make WWII look like the War for the Chaco. It is not going to merely bankrupt you, nor simply destroy your standard of living, this coming world war will have you watch as your children are butchered, starve or die slowly of radiation poisoning. Everything you have, want or imagine will be taken from you, because of this instability.

Nuclear weapons are proliferating around the world. When the US and Europe took down Muammar Gaddafi, the only autocrat to give up WMD… they essentially told the world’s tyrants, get nuclear weapons! Now we see the despots of the world got the memo. Since then more and more countries are developing nuclear weapons as fast as possible. North Korea abandoned it’s treaty with the US limiting it’s ability to get, amass and deliver nuclear weapons, Iran has signed a treaty with the US that allows Iran to inspect itself, and the cold war between Pakistan and India is heating up, and soon may go nuclear. Proliferation of nuclear weapons in the hands of despots and psychopaths cannot be a good idea.

Every continent on the planet except Antarctica and Australia is at war or in economic collapse. Wars rage around the globe, and the fire is growing. Asia has several wars in progress, ISIS is religiously cleansing the Middle Eats of Christians and Yazidis. Europe sees Ukraine and Russia in open conflict, Africa is awash in bloodshed, South America’s economy is melting down and still has active Marxist insurgencies going on, and in North America, the US has open fighting on the streets between Black lives matter and the police. Instead of cooling down, these conflicts are getting worse, while the world’s economy is in full recession.

There is a full blown currency war raging today, economies are collapsing and a global recession is on it’s way, nothing is more conducive to war than economic collapse. Europe’s economy is in full rout with Greece needing a new loan every time a loan payment comes due, Spain and Italy are ready to go bankrupt even as Europe is being deluged with Islamic immigrants who are intent on subjugating the native Europeans. Brazil’s economy is ablaze, Venezuela is in hyper inflation and just announced martial law. China’s planned economy is not going as planned, it’s manufacturing numbers just came in at the crucial 3500 level, the Renminbi is being devalued and the Chinese stock market is in free fall again, despite the government making it illegal to sell stocks! Every world war has been presaged by economic upheaval.

China is gearing up to expand it’s empire. The definition of empire is a large area controlled by a hegemonic group, usually based on ethnicity, reigning over many other ethnic groups. China is run by communists and the hegemonic ethnicity are Han Chinese. They reign over Tibetans, Mongols and Uyghurs. Today China is building islands in the South China sea to expand it’s military might, threatening the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan, on land China claims the northern states of India and Vietnam. They plan on expanding, which is what empires do, especially Marxist empires.

The Middle East is on fire since Obama threw in with the Arab Spring. Christians and Yazidis have been all but exterminated from that part of the world, people are fleeing the wars into Europe where they bring with them chaos, terrorism and bigotry. Iran’s nuclear program is being funded by Obama and European leaders and given the green light as well, despite the constant chant of “Death to America! Death to Israel!” We hear from the leaders there. Antisemitism is on the rise again around the world another event that has presaged every major world conflict.

Humanity has a very real possibility of facing extinction because of this coming convulsion. With nuclear weapons being distributed to every insane despot on the planet, instead of being inconceivable, nuclear exchange is rapidly becoming inevitable. Even a limited exchange between Pakistan and India would create a nuclear winter. A Nuclear winter that would destroy crops needed for billions of people to survive. At least global warming would be over… because we would be entering into another ice age. An electro magnetic pulse attack (EMP) on the US, China, Japan, Russia and Europe would return humanity to the dark ages, famine, disease and chaos.

Meanwhile, our leaders claim a fiction is our greatest threat, ignoring the train bearing down on us for the ant crawling over our shoe, maybe so we will be hit by the train? They seem determined to keep us distracted as the world melts down. Our leaders are the ones who’s policies are directly responsible for our dire situation. They overthrew Gaddafi and instituted the new incentive for despots to nuclear up, they have taxed, regulated and spent our economies into oblivion, they are the ones wholly responsible for the next war, yet they point to an imaginary threat as that which we should focus on. This entire coming catastrophe is the direct result of our leaders failing us.

I am not saying the world war will start Thursday at 3:00 pm… but I am saying it is coming, if it’s not already here. Future historians, (if there are any) will have to make that call. The vacuum Obama made when he pulled the US out of the world, has empowered despots around the planet to step in and grab what they can. Economic collapse always ushers in war, the ink of human history is blood, and the world’s economy is at the precipice of an epic fall. Our leaders have made it possible for the world’s autocrats to get nuclear weapons making the next conflict likely a nuclear one. In every way our leaders have failed us, leading us, predictably, to this place. If there is future history, they, Obama, Putin, Merkel, Khomeini, Assad, Chavez, etc… will go down along with Tamerlane, Kaiser Wilhelm, Stalin, Hitler and Mao as fiends who broke the world. Prepare yourself and your families for it. The well prepared have a much better chance of surviving over the ill prepared.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

A Very Curious Thing.

Monday, August 3rd, 2015

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, a very curious thing that people who live in progressive run cities and states, vote with their feet and move away due to the lack of opportunity, low wages, high taxes and out of control crime, despite having the toughest gun control laws, to conservative run cities and states… then vote for progressives? Moreover, international migrants vote with their feet fleeing communist hell holes and Islamic tyrannies, but the moment they get to a free country, they do everything in their power to enact the very same policies they fled from? On the face of it, wouldn’t you say it is absurd? It is like someone burning themselves on a stove and reaching back to burn themselves again. One of the characteristics of human beings is that we have the ability to learn from past mistakes, yet some people seem to be unable to learn from their past mistakes, and have an overpowering urge to foist their past mistakes, on those who haven’t made them. I find this a very curious thing indeed.

Places like Detroit, Baltimore, and Chicago have been run by progressives for generations and people are fleeing those cities by the droves. Crime is utterly out of control there, the economies of those cities are in a shambles and every action is taxed to the hilt. They have the most draconian gun control laws, but the murder rate in those cities is the highest in the free world and indeed, the planet. They have the highest incarceration rate but the streets are not safe to walk after dark. They have the the most regulation and their economies hemorrhage jobs and drive down wages. They have the highest taxes, yet their police are underfunded, their schools produce graduates who cannot read, write or do simple math, let alone engage in the highly technical economy we live in.

Progressive run states are also loosing population with the vast majority of those people moving, voting with their feet, to conservative states. States run by progressives like Vermont, New York and Illinois are loosing population to states like Florida, Texas and Georgia. The migration of people from progressive run states is turning into a tsunami of humanity fleeing the results of progressivism to the results of conservatism. Vermont is fast becoming the land of the elite, where trustfunders go to start gentleman farms and poor people go to get generous welfare checks, but working people are fleeing due to the high taxes, regulations and poor jobs.

People from South American socialist nations are fleeing the results of socialism to the US to take advantage of the results of capitalism. Those nations that have implemented Marxism have economies that produce bone crushing poverty, their governments are psychotic and crime there is organized. Conditions are so bad, mothers and fathers are putting their young children into the hands of criminals, who rape, sell and abuse many of those children, just in the hope some will make it to the US! The rise of Islamism, a rise that has been accelerated since the Arab spring, has resulted in millions of people fleeing the results of Islamism, to the places where Christianity has reigned. The Middle East has seen the extermination of Christians and Christianity and a commensurate rise in poverty, violence and oppression.

Yet, all those people who are fleeing from progressive cities and states, communist nations and Islamist autocracies, immediately set themselves to implement progressivism, Marxism and Islamism, in the places they fled to! Britain is being cleansed of all things British by the newcomers. Progressives in the US seek to give those people fleeing Marxism the vote immediately, because they can be reliably counted on to vote for progressives, who are Marxists without the revolution. Those places that were run by conservatives, are being changed to progressive run, by the very people fleeing the results of progressivism. It would seem, they are like hogs, a pig will so churn up their sty with feces, urine and mud, the farmer has to move to regularly else they will get sick. Progressives, Islamists and Marxists are the same, they so destroy the economy, civil society and morality with their policies, they have to move to a clean place to do it all over again. They vote with their feet one way, and with their ballots, actions and sentiments the other… A curious thing to be sure.

Sincerely,

John Pepin

Morality Depends on Scale

Monday, January 20th, 2014

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, understanding human morality is similar to comprehending Grand Unified Theory, they both are enigmas that defy explanation and the difference is based on scale. It is interesting how so many phenomenon appear across scientific disciplines. While it makes the universe and God’s laws easier to understand this phenomenon also shows us the interconnectedness of the universe. We have only a limited ability to understand the World around us despite our hubris. When two dissimilar systems so closely mirror one another, it is clear indication we should examine them, with an eye to comparing them, perhaps gleaning some insight into the workings of either or both. Not one among us isn’t aware that our well beings depend on the state of society, a few less understand that the state of our morality is a crucial factor in the state of our society.

Grand Unified Theory is a goal to combine macro physics with micro physics, or in other words, Newtonian physics with Quantum physics. The difference is scale. Things behave impossibly differently depending on the scale. In Quantum physics for example, particles can be entangled such that no matter how far they are separated if one is disturbed the other shows the disturbance, if a particle is measured that particle is fundamentally changed, and in the Quantum universe particles pop into existence and back out constantly. These are things and properties you would never see in the macro world, the world we live in. In our world, things don’t just pop into existence and back out, we can weigh anything we want without materially effecting it and just because two things bump doesn’t entangle them no matter how far apart they move. If any of those things happened in our world people would call it magic. But Grand Unified Theory is ambitious enough to try to fuse these two disparate realities into one theory.

Human morality is similar to micro and macro physics in that our morality largely depends on scale. Mo Ti said he couldn’t understand why a person shown a black dot could identify it as a black dot, but when shown a page filled with black dots, that same person would call them white. One would have to question the viewer’s eyesight… Mo Ti was of course referring to War. The one dot meaning the killing of a person but the page of dots representing the killing of many. The difference is scale. If I shoved a gun in your face and demanded money, that would be a bad thing, and everyone understands that, but if a government does the very same thing, people say it is good. You don’t think government demands are backed up by deadly force? Try not paying your taxes and hold up in your home, threatening no one, there will be armed police surrounding your house before you can blink. How many other examples can you think of, where if you or I did an action it would be wrong and punishable, but when government does that same action, it is called social justice.

To conceptualize a Grand Unified Theory of Human Morality would be every bit as difficult as Grand Unified Theory of Physics. To observe such fundamental change depending on scale boggles the mind. How can physics be so utterly different, at microscopic scales from how things behave at macro scales, the scale we live in? Human morality is no different on this matter, how is it possible that an action that is wrong for the individual, right for a group? Because if you think of it, a group with political power is all that government is. How many times in human history have people done evil things to one another, simply because they were “ordered” to? In their minds and in truth the minds of most people, they lost culpability in their actions when they received orders to… gas the Roma and Jews, take food from the people’s own larders to create a forced famine starving millions to death, drive the Roma to another country, or keep quiet when we see people being abused, along with any of the other atrocities you can think of. Physics is so fundamentally different from human morality that is is startling when we find such a close analogy between them. It would serve the physics community well if they could come up with Grand Unified Theory but it would equally serve the human race if we could come up with a Grand Unified Theory of Human Morality. Perhaps the researchers in physics and moral philosophers should examine each other’s fields to get a deeper understanding of their own.

The Commodification of Human Suffering

Thursday, December 5th, 2013

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, human suffering has become a commodity, to be traded and exploited for political power. If someone’s suffering can be misused to that end, it is displayed in neon lights, but if it serves no political purpose, or works against the elite’s design, it is ignored. In this truly diabolical scheme, the media are the major players, acting at the behest of the political elite. Both of which are members of the “New Class.” Our innate repulsion at suffering is being played upon, to steer us into a course that is profoundly against our own interests, but in the presumed interests of the elite… or in other words, the New Class.

We have an innate revulsion to suffering be it human or animal. It is a human thing, that when we see someone in pain we are made uncomfortable, (except for the sadist). When something makes us uncomfortable we try to make it go away. In the case of human suffering we turn our eyes from it or we do something about it. The political elite know and understand this vulnerability of human nature and use it to manipulate us as best they can. It is up to us then, to be rational in our assessment of what we are shown, judging what is real and what is being used for political purposes and act accordingly.

The commodification of suffering is why we are reminded of certain misery constantly, often fictitious ills, like the tragedy of a lack of unlimited access to birth control paid for by someone else, but true human suffering, like the deprivations of Mao, are ignored. The “war on women” is an example of fictitious human suffering, while the genocide against Christianity, that is happening around the World right now, is ignored. The first serves the new class’ objectives while the second undermines it. The fact of illegal immigration is abraded like a perpetual cold sore, so the elite can lower our wages and water down our vote, while the evil of abortion and the suffering it causes, is not only ignored but anyone who points it out is vilified. Our compassion for the uninsured was the tool the elite used to jamb Obama care down our throats. These are only a very few examples of human suffering that the new class uses to promote a political agenda, and that which they keep us ignorant of.

Yet the political elite constantly use the suffering of others, to guide us to making decisions that are not only against our interests, but will actually create more suffering of the type they propose to stop! The war on poverty, was ostensibly a means to eliminate poverty, but the results are the opposite. Despite spending trillions of other people’s money the war on poverty has created more poverty than has ever existed in the US before. This misguided program, where the State took the place of the father in the familial relationship, has led to an explosion of out of wedlock births. Out of wedlock births are the biggest source of poverty there is! This malicious program has made millions of people incapable of engaging in the market system, and thus escaping their poverty, locking generations into a cycle of dependency and want. Yet our society was guided to making this terrible decision by the elite playing on our compassion for the impoverished.

It seems reasonable that those in the new class, who have had the benefit of the very best education, should have known the logical outcome of disrupting the nuclear family. Otherwise they are stupid and shouldn’t be allowed in charge of a MacDonalds. If they did know, and used our compassion as a tool to get us not only to damage our own interests, but to damage the interests of the very people they purported to help, then it is clear evidence they have malevolence in their hearts. If we look into this one example further, we can see that the only people to really benefit from the war on poverty, are the elite and their minions…. the bureaucracy.

To exploit human suffering as a political tool is evil. Human suffering is not a tool like a hammer or wedge, it is a wrong that good people should try to stop. Those that exploit the pain of others to forward an agenda are psychopathic. To do so requires a certain level of malevolence and enjoyment of that suffering. Moreover, to purposefully ignore true human suffering because it is damaging to a political agenda, is sociopathic. To lack a conscience. I think we can all agree that sociopaths and psychopaths should be barred from holding any power over the lives of other human beings at all.

I am sure you can easily think of many other examples, where human suffering has been exploited for political advantage, and where human suffering that works against an agenda has been ignored. The pain of another human being is never a tool and to make it such is diabolical. To make suffering a commodity, like oil, gold or lumber, is the very definition of evil. Those that exploit human suffering for their own narrow objectives, should be thrown out of office and barred from holding any power over our lives ever again, and in a sane World… they would be.

Obama’s Deal With the Ayatollah

Thursday, November 28th, 2013

Dear Friends,

It seems to me Obama’s deal with Iran over it’s nuclear program is the absolute height of stupidity and will usher in human suffering like the World has never seen before. The Iranian regime is not made up of sane people. To abet insane people to get a nuclear bomb is insane at best diabolically evil at worst. No good can come of this deal. The unbiased media are claiming it is a historic agreement… and yes, I agree. It will be historic in that it will be the end of history unless someone who is sane intervenes.

The Ayatollah who runs Iran’s theology is not shared by the majority of Muslims or even Iranians. It is called Twelver theology. In it they believe there is the twelfth Imam who is at the bottom of a well. He will remain there until the Earth is washed with blood, chaos and violence. Once this happens he will come out of the well and usher in the end times. It is the duty of those who follow this sect within the Shiite community to bring these things about. It is no matter if they die in the process, because it will be the end times and they will be richly rewarded for their part… washing the world with blood.

The Ayatollah may be insane, and following a theology that is on the face of it insane, but insanity does not require stupidity. In fact often the insane are geniuses. The Iranian regime is following in the footsteps laid out by North Korea. The “Dear Leader” of North Korea did exactly the same thing. He played Clinton for a fool. Clinton would sign a deal with North Korea, (to distract from some scandal), supposedly to stop the weapons program, it would appear to stop, and the North Koreans would get billions of dollars of aid. Aid that would flow into the Army and the nuclear weapons program. This continued until North Korea detonated a bomb.

George Bush then tried to get North Korea to relinquish the A bomb. They played him for a fool too. They would shut down a plutonium plant, for a few billion in aid, then turn it back on when it suited them. This game went on for the entire term of Bush’s Presidency. Today North Korea is a nuclear state that abuses it’s people with famine, oppression, forced labor, dissidents are punished for three generations, while North Korea acts defiantly, by sinking South Korean ships, shelling South Korean cities and threatening all out war every few years.

Every dictator on the planet saw and learned the lesson of the North Korean nuclear program… including the insane theocrats who run Iran. They have learned the lesson well, but to our mutual detriment, Obama and the unbiased press haven’t. The USA Today reported that Iran has “only” enriched five hundred pounds of uranium to within eighty percent of what would be needed to produce bombs. They claimed this would only be enough for one bomb. That is amazing because Little Boy only had fifty six kilograms of uranium, (about 140 pounds) but obliterated Nagasaki. The bomb design the Iranians got from A Q Khan is far more efficient. This implies that Iran has the nuclear pile to create at least three or four bombs.

It would only take one bomb fashioned into an Electro Magnetic Pulse Weapon, (EMP), to wipe the US from the map. Detonated in the center of the US at sufficient altitude it would burn out every electronic device in the country and most of Canada and Mexico. Two could be used, Launched in International Waters off each coast, it would accomplish the same thing and would be far easier to accomplish. We wouldn’t even hear a bang. Our cars would stall in the middle of the road, every transformer would fail causing a national blackout, water pumps would stop, farm machinery would stop, pharmaceuticals would rot in warehouses, and we would instantly be thrust into the preindustrial era. The Department of Defense has estimated that if this were done a third of the population of the US would be dead in six months! Over a billion people World wide would be dead within a year from starvation. (the US produces such a large portion of the World’s food supplies). This would indeed wash the World in blood and cause world wide chaos and suffering… sufficient to bring the Imam out of the well.

When the Iranians were testing their delivery system, the missiles would go up to the altitude an EMP would work best at, and explode. The media decried these tests as failures but Ahmadinejad laughed and said they were successes. The path Iran is on was trod and mapped by North Korea and it only takes one or two EMP bombs to wipe the US out, and five to end all civilization. Now Obama has basically given Iran the green light to enrich uranium and soon enough, create plutonium, then build the bombs they need to wash the World in blood. Unless Israel, Saudi Arabia or some sane actor intervenes. So, yes, Obama’s Iranian nuclear deal will in deed be historic… like Neville Chamberlain’s deal with Hitler. Millions will die for Obama’s stupidity… if it is in fact stupidity.

The Slippery Slope of Utilitarianism

Thursday, September 19th, 2013

Dear Friends,

It seems to me, the philosophy of utilitarianism is a slippery slope. Many well intentioned people have espoused the utilitarian philosophy with tragic results. Utilitarianism, like Bentham and John Stuart Mill’s seem to have an empirical basis, but in fact are based entirely on subjective opinion. That such a huge mistake is made in defining them is astounding. Some of the worst atrocities ever committed by men upon mankind have been justified under a utilitarian philosophy. Even today utilitarianism under girds the thinking of many philosophers. The weakness of utilitarianism needs to be pointed out else our society is susceptible to evils from all directions.

Utilitarianism is thought to be a form of morality based on logic, and is often summed up with the trite saying, that which brings the greatest good to the greatest number. The pleasure, or happiness, (depending on the philosopher), is quantified and compared to the suffering it will bring about. In this, it appears to be based on a cost benefit analysis, when in fact it has no such basis. Mill tried to put a counterpoint to the strict utilitarianism of Bentham with his notion of the quality of pleasure. Quality being a metric of the goodness of a pleasure, torture my be pleasurable to the sadist but is of a lower quality than say, philosophy. In my mind quality falls very short because it depends on who is doing the measuring.

I am a bit of a utilitarian myself. I do agree that there should be some form of cost benefit put on an action, philosophy, economic or governing system. Where I fall away from the utilitarian ethos, is that I believe in an overarching morality, that of Human Heartedness. The theory of human heartedness comes from Confucius. He meant it to be tangentially defined as the Golden Rule but it goes further. If an action is not human hearted it is not good no matter the “quality.” Furthermore quality is subjective to the measurer not an objective measure. The sadist may believe his pleasure outweighs the pain of the victim but only a demon could believe torture is human hearted.

My favorite philosopher, Mo Ti, had a strictly empirical utilitarian philosophy. Mo Ti was far more empirical in his philosophy then Bentham or Mill. To sum up one of Mo Ti’s arguments… if we weigh the damage to the carts, the weapons, armor, infrastructure, crops, and the loss of productive capacity of those killed or handicapped in war, against the uncertain gain of winning, it is obvious that the cost far outweighs the benefit… This is far more empirical than any of the arguments I have heard made by Mill. Unfortunately the very caring philosophy of Mo Ti was followed, logically, by the cruel philosophy of Shang Yang, who’s philosophy visited suffering on the entire Middle Kingdom, during the Chin dynasty.

Another reason naked utilitarianism is so profoundly dangerous is that it is based on pure logic. The Ancient Chinese philosopher, Kung-Sun Lung, who argued in dialectic that a White Horse is not a Horse, was not actually saying a white horse is not a horse, but that logic and language are deficient, ad absurdum. In Kant’s, Critique of Pure Reason, he used a different argument to come to the similar conclusion… that pure logic is inadequate to come to any real understanding, because it can go so far afield from actual reality.

In modern times we see the results of utilitarianism in the suffering socialism has wrought on mankind. The communist, socialist and progressive all argue in utilitarian terms. The example, from each according to his ability to each according to his need, is a nakedly utilitarian statement. It assumes that most will benefit if the goods of society are forcibly, equally distributed. Pleasant sounding rhetoric but history shows the foolishness of that notion. Over one hundred million human beings murdered to enforce it to date. Clearly not at all human hearted.

Utilitarianism has value but falls short of a truly human hearted philosophy. It lacks the moral foundation of the golden rule, do unto others as you would have them do unto you… the foundation of human heartedness, and Christianity by the way. Utilitarianism lacks the basis of empirically measurable reality like William James philosophy of Pragmatism, and being based upon pure logic, it can go very far away from the good into evil. That history shows us utilitarianism philosophies have been the font of so much human suffering is a sure sign it is wanting. That is why I say, utilitarianism is a slippery slope… to despotism.

Sincerely,

John Pepin
